Hey Jill hope the storms missed you. I just replanted the garden from last months hail storms that decimated my plants. UGH we got more hail today up here in Cooke County (1.75 inch) and I had just finished up re planting! I am so frustrated I am about to give up. I am too afraid to go out and see what my poor plants look like again. :(
Jill your garden in jammin!! Mine is jammin with bugs I’ve never seen before. So frustrating. I have a burrowing beetle that boils out of the ground when I disturb the soil. Can’t find a piece of them on the web. Geez. I am so happy for you and sending prayers for NO hail. Surrounding your property with a golden dome of impenetrable protection rendering you invisible to any evil formed against you and your entire property!😊
thank you for keeping your channel about the topic of homesteading and gardening and not getting political like many others i have unsubbed to over a 100 because they changed to politics a little is ok but not all the time i do watch political channels but they dont talk about gardening and such so thank you again and god bless all
We had a severe thunderstorm come through,... went through Johnson City with baseball size hail, then through Dripping Springs with golfball to baseball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts,... just like a hurricane. The weather has been strange ever since the eclipse!
Praises, for your protection!! I did 4 jars of kraut 3 days ago and 9 pints, 4 half pints of carrots done yesterday. I have 4 heads of cabbage, tomatoes, cauliflower, and jalapeños to do. No more cowboy candy. Jelly ybis time. Almost 2,weeks ago, my neighbors tree limb fell on my roof. They had filed a claim before I even got home. I had gone to get my hair cut and some groceries. My agent to this day has not called me. I left phone message and email. Poor customer service!! My neighbor evidentally represrnted the tree as healthy...not. The wafe was rather smug about whose property it was on and whose insurance would pay. I sent pictures and his agent said his insurance would definitely pay. Tbe tree he had cut on, was dying. Tuesday, the tree service removed only the limb from my roof. Said no damage, but I habr to make sur the sheetrock wasnt affected in my garage!! God keeps testing me for done reason, I keep doing my best yo roll with the punches. My laenmower quit, so havr to get a new one.soon. it's just a lot og things coming at me at the same time. I did have a good cry, but never questioned why me!! Im thankful the limb is gone, all ground up, street, porch, drive blown off. Great job by tree service. Gave them a great review on Google and on Nextdoor. Such nice office sraff and wonderful, polite, professional young men to work. Glad no harm done. I have no idea about outside today, I stayed in. Ive bern adked to serve as an Elder in my church. I accepted in my dad's honor. For some reason, when the lady said she needed to speak with me after church on Sunday, I just fekt that was what she wanted. I asked if I could think about if and sent her a text later that Id be honored to accept. My dad would be do very happy. Take care, stay safe, God bless. Love and hugs.
Hey Jill! Was just going to message and check on you. The storm may or may not split around Texarkana. Had a rotation west of us in Boxelder. Yall be safe! Hey to Pops
So jealous of your gorgeous tomatoes! Hope and pray the bad weather stays away🙏🏻 Do you have any troubles with army worms? They just decimate all of my plants every year. I try to keep them in check by pulling off the affected leaves and smooshing them and then using diatomaceous in the evening. Any suggestions?
@@ntxg We discovered patty pan a few years ago with a seed mix up! We grew them, looked up what to do, and now grow them because we fell in love with them! SO MANY things you can use them for compared to other squashes. Stay safe!
Hey Jill! I have a question. How do you get rid of chiggers on your pastureland so it can be turned into a garden like your back acre? I was out staking the area and got eaten alive. Thanks and prayers as always.
Wow eagle Lover you know what I was thinking about you about an hour ago thinking I’ve not heard from you so I’m so glad to see this. You were certainly on my mind. Well, I’ve never really gotten rid of chiggers and I get eaten alive too if I’m in the weeds. You can till it up and apply a cover crop of oats or buckwheat and then mow it down till it again before you plant it will help. But if you’re planting in the weeds, you’re gonna get chiggers. I use chiggaway and it works quite well to stop the itching.
Your plants look incredible! Thankful all is well. ❤️
We're in Grayson County and got slammed with rain, wind and hail. God had his hand on us! Not one damaged tomato or pepper plants 💕
Amen
God is good
Wonderful

Absolutely zero rain here in the high desert of Texas. ❤
WOW you have tomatoes already. It was so hot Thursday, and we miss the bad storms. The rain was nice. God bless
North of WF high wind and just a sprinkle of rain.
It's looking fantastic in the high tunnels.
We were worried about you... nothing here in Weatherford.... We watch Texas Storm Center everyday....xoxo
Be safe awful storms you had ❤

Hi from Tyler, that storm is now coming our way. Strong winds so far
God Bless & Protect 24/7.
Had rain 8 days in a row here in Kentucky
Best wishes!
It went north and south of me. I got nothing in Collin County.
So glad!!!
There is a website that sells bugs that eat spider mites. I got some and they eradicated the mites in my greenhouse. Still have huge aphid pressure.
Garden looks great! How’s your bike riding coming along? It looks so fun!

That's it. I need a small high tunnel. My veggies don't look near as good as yours 😅❤.
Stay safe 🙏
Awe gal I’m sure they are beautiful
@ntxg compared to hers, they are puny 😂
Tell me how should I deal with all these bugs this wet weather and humidity are bringing. I don't have a tunnel to grow in.
I cannot wait to eat my tomato and mayonnaise sandwich of the year
You’re tomatoes 🍅 look beautiful 😻
For a second I thought you said "Loxahatchee", which is a few towns N of me.
Ohhh no!! 😫
I saw a patty pan in there! These ;storms are crazy here lately. We had some quarter sized hail, but it was brief. Y'all stay safe.

Thanks. Oh, I’m here for every video. 😃Y’all are in my prayers daily.🙏
That worked out very well. Looks like your plants love this weather and/or the Lord's presence.
Tracking it on the WFAA channel. At least it looks like it is passing through quickly and not "training".
Had golf ball size hail here in Tolar, Hood Co. I'm afraid to go look at my garden ugh
Oh no Dana! Please update us
@@ntxg Everything is fine!! Only lost a couple of very small limbs on the tomatoes woohoo!!
