3 things that made this game will be my number 1 favourite for long long time : 1. The storytelling was so good to the point where i couldn't wait to watch the next cutscenes. 2. The character buildings are very captivating. I'm now fans of bajie, that pig who reminds me of that friend who always being a jerk infront of us, but will do everything to help when we are in trouble. 3. The graphic is top notch. Just look at the grassland where violet spider died. When the wind blows, we can see the flower powder, wilted leaves, their long hair, all move in the same direction. It was a cinema quality that really close to pixel studio. This game is amazing. Really a rare one. Worth every cents of the price

Plot : After successfully escorting Tang Sanzang and recovering the Buddhist scriptures, Sun Wukong ascends to Buddhahood, but ultimately rejects immortality to live on his mountain in peace. However, the Celestial Court is angered that Sun Wukong would disobey them, and sends an army led by Erlang to force him to return to the Court. Sun Wukong duels Erlang, but is ultimately defeated and sealed in a stone. However, right before he is sealed, Sun Wukong manages to split his power into six Relics, each one corresponding to one of Wukong's six-senses (the same six-senses of Āyatana, a Buddhist philosophy), that are scattered and hidden all across China. Over the next few centuries, the Monkeys of Mount Huaguo would send out a number of young warriors to try and recover the Relics so they can revive and free Sun Wukong. One such Monkey (who becomes known as the Destined One) sets out on his quest to find the Relics. He first heads to the burnt down ruins of Guanyin Temple and recovers the first Relic, Sun Wukong's "eyes", by defeating Black Bear Guai, who apologizes and claims he was forced by the Court to oppose the Destined One. The Destined One then heads to Yellow Wind Ridge where he defeats the Yellow Wind Sage and recovers the Bodhisattva Lingji's severed head. As thanks, Lingji hands over the second Relic which he had been protecting. The Destined One continues his journey to the mountains, where he frees Zhu Bajie from imprisonment and they both defeat Yellowbrow. Maitreya then thanks them for defeating Yellowbrow, who had stolen his artifacts as well as the third Relic, and he gives the Relic to the Destined One. The Destined One and Bajie then journey to the lair of the Spider Demons to find the fourth Relic, but Bajie is captured by the matriarch, the Violet Spider, who plans to marry and then devour him for having "ruined" her centuries earlier. The Destined One rescues Bajie and battles both the Violet Spider and the Hundred-Eyed Daoist Master, resulting in both of their deaths and the possession of the fourth Relic. The Destined One and Bajie continue their journey to the Forest of Embers, where they find Red Boy attempting to steal the fifth Relic from the Bull Demon King. The Destined One defeats Red Boy, who commits suicide to avoid the humiliation of defeat and allowing the Destined One to take possession of the fifth Relic. With five of the Relics now in their possession, the Destined One and Bajie return to Mount Huaguo to find the sixth and final Relic. On the way, they find that Sun Wukong's old weapons and armour have been hidden around the region, so they decide to recover them before the Court can. They then reach the summit of Mount Huaguo where the Destined One discovers that, as the "Destined One", he was also the sixth relic, Sun Wukong's mind, and that his true role is not to revive Sun Wukong per se, but to inherit Sun Wukong's name and powers and become his new incarnation. In order to complete the transmigration transformation, the Destined One is forced to battle Sun Wukong's mindless stone body. Upon the defeat of Sun Wukong's stone body, multiple endings are possible: In the default ending, The Destined One fails to inherit Sun Wukong's legacy, and his body remains trapped inside the rock waiting for a new Destined One. fun fact: At the start of the boss fight, Erlang, is a true chinese god, that is wu kong's rival. wukong is said to have 72 unique powers and Erlang have 73 unique powers so technical erlang should be more powerful. Much like Byakuya from bleach, Erlang is often cold and emotionless. Have highest standards of conduct and expects the same from those around him. Which is why he cannot stand Wukong's mischievous act
They both only have 72. Erlang has the dog and it's a well know joke to say Erlang has 73 due to the dog. The Demon Bull King also possessed 72 transformation technique.
Just be aware that this is the first ending, as the hoop is a curse for Wukong. The first ending represents the player having not completed the whole game (e.g., hidden chapters) but only passed through the main chapters, and thus, the hoop is back to the player for being a new Wukong, carrying on with the curse. So far the second ending with completing all the hidden chapters, it end up with fighting Erlang, and also reveals a deeper mission of the story that he's actually a part of the plan, to help the Wukong to get rid of the curse hoop and to do so, Wukong has to die first. Apparently, there are 5 different endings in total, but so far we have only seen 2.

I think the other endings will be added with future DLC. It was originally supposed to be 13 chapters but the devs almost ran out of money so they basically released IMO a pretty good 6 chapters worth.

Damn, even the cutscenes are absolute fire. Despite being lengthy, the visuals & dialogue are very snappy. Great stuff. I never read Journey to the west but this still 'feels' more accurate to ancient chinese mythology than other adaptations that I've seen.

One thing that pissed me off was them labelling the plant 'jade lotus' when they designed it to look like a WATER LILLY. THEY ARE TWO ENTIRELY DIFFERENT PLANTS. Lotus leaves and flowers rise out of the water, lily pads sit on the surface. Happens all the time unfortunately
Observations about the game, which is a work of art! 1 - The scenarios really had some repetitive aspects, but at the same time, there are elements with many details of the paths, mountains, slopes. The details of the paths within the map are superior and varied with aspects of reality in terms of a mountain, vegetation, etc. The aspects are superior to other great games. 2 - The soundtrack is excellent. As a language and music teacher, I was really interested in the arrangements, and the characteristics of Chinese culture were very well presented and still presented in an intelligent way for the common people, in addition to still pleasing great music connoisseurs. 3 - Without a doubt, I would say that it is the game of the year! The English and Chinese dubbing is excellent! The way they told the story is very intelligent, beating many big games, there was a lot of intelligent philosophy, a lot of demonstration of culture/philosophy/religion... Something that seems to be interconnected, unlike the West that separates more philosophy and religion... Great gameplay, I disagree with the difficulties because it is a different proposal from Soulslike even though the game has aspects of Soulslike, the game makes you want to play the New Game + Just like Elden Ring which is something very well done, it makes sense to play New Game Plus in this game, much more than others. 4 - The animations are very intelligent, with countless details, something that other games with animations don't know how to do, the design work of the clothes and accessories are well done, connecting Chinese culture and mythology. 5 - The game works the dopamine aspect of neuroscience in the players in a very well done way, you get curious when you meet each boss, and each chapter that ends, and it always delivers very well. 6 - The ending ends excellently, notice that the game really grows in every way, the map grows, the skills, the costumes, the character building and secrets, the interest of playing about Sun Wukong and Chinese mythology, the bosses grow, and in the end where we have the ending and secret boss along with the normal final battle, it shows the big cherry on the cake, and it still ends with two EXCELLENT soundtracks. Black Myth Wukong WOULD DESERVE THE GAME OF THE YEAR FOR SURE! So far it is my number 1, and number 2 Elden Ring DLC... Number 3 I don't know yet. I hope all players continue to study about art, video games and cinema because they are all interconnected! See ya buddy!

MK is the one who can use Wukong's skills and spells the most gorgeously, beautifully and powerfully among all the people I have seen. Salute to him, he is a legend! My favorite is the fight between the two Wukongs in the last chapter, it is so gorgeous! I am so excited to watch it!
It's so sad to behold this guy can't socialize or talk anymore. I remember back in the days like 2007 or something this guy channel was called Mack and ice. They were most likely gay couple and streamer lot together playing games. Was very popular among with the gay and lgbt community. But one time this guy stopped showing himself and went quiet. After completing the first playthrough and watching the opening again, these two really have a tacit understanding. Yang Jian's posture is entirely for the benefit of the Heavenly Court and the people behind it... Upon a second playthrough, the meaning behind every sentence is different. 1. Er Lang Shen scolding his dog Xian Tian Quan as a "stupid dog" is completely out of frustration for not having the tacit understanding... The dog didn't understand his intentions, rushed in prematurely, and he had to go down to stop it... 2. After descending, he quickly pointed out that the monkey "has merits" and "has been ennobled as a Buddha", reminding everyone not to act rashly, not to start fighting to the death immediately. 3. He immediately stated that no one present, except for him, is qualified to duel with him. This quickly turned the situation into a one-on-one duel with the monkey. Probably everyone else present was confused-Wait, didn't we come here to prepare for a one-on-one duel with him? 4. Just be aware that this is the first ending, as the hoop is a curse for Wukong. The first ending represents the player having not completed the whole game (e.g., hidden chapters) but only passed through the main chapters, and thus, the hoop is back to the player for being a new Wukong, carrying on with the curse.
For anyone wondering this is not the full gameplay, this game is 35 hours long if played by the main objectives and if you decide that you want to explore and do side quests and alot more its around 50 to 60 hours

This channel is the goat let’s be real. I hate to sound like I’m getting paid by them but I’m not even subscribed and I’ve been watching their walkthroughs for years like movies
3 things that made this game will be my number 1 favourite for long long time :
1. The storytelling was so good to the point where i couldn't wait to watch the next cutscenes.
2. The character buildings are very captivating. I'm now fans of bajie, that pig who reminds me of that friend who always being a jerk infront of us, but will do everything to help when we are in trouble.
3. The graphic is top notch. Just look at the grassland where violet spider died. When the wind blows, we can see the flower powder, wilted leaves, their long hair, all move in the same direction. It was a cinema quality that really close to pixel studio.
This game is amazing. Really a rare one. Worth every cents of the price

Plot :
After successfully escorting Tang Sanzang and recovering the Buddhist scriptures, Sun Wukong ascends to Buddhahood, but ultimately rejects immortality to live on his mountain in peace. However, the Celestial Court is angered that Sun Wukong would disobey them, and sends an army led by Erlang to force him to return to the Court. Sun Wukong duels Erlang, but is ultimately defeated and sealed in a stone. However, right before he is sealed, Sun Wukong manages to split his power into six Relics, each one corresponding to one of Wukong's six-senses (the same six-senses of Āyatana, a Buddhist philosophy), that are scattered and hidden all across China.
Over the next few centuries, the Monkeys of Mount Huaguo would send out a number of young warriors to try and recover the Relics so they can revive and free Sun Wukong. One such Monkey (who becomes known as the Destined One) sets out on his quest to find the Relics.
He first heads to the burnt down ruins of Guanyin Temple and recovers the first Relic, Sun Wukong's "eyes", by defeating Black Bear Guai, who apologizes and claims he was forced by the Court to oppose the Destined One.
The Destined One then heads to Yellow Wind Ridge where he defeats the Yellow Wind Sage and recovers the Bodhisattva Lingji's severed head. As thanks, Lingji hands over the second Relic which he had been protecting.
The Destined One continues his journey to the mountains, where he frees Zhu Bajie from imprisonment and they both defeat Yellowbrow. Maitreya then thanks them for defeating Yellowbrow, who had stolen his artifacts as well as the third Relic, and he gives the Relic to the Destined One.
The Destined One and Bajie then journey to the lair of the Spider Demons to find the fourth Relic, but Bajie is captured by the matriarch, the Violet Spider, who plans to marry and then devour him for having "ruined" her centuries earlier. The Destined One rescues Bajie and battles both the Violet Spider and the Hundred-Eyed Daoist Master, resulting in both of their deaths and the possession of the fourth Relic.
The Destined One and Bajie continue their journey to the Forest of Embers, where they find Red Boy attempting to steal the fifth Relic from the Bull Demon King. The Destined One defeats Red Boy, who commits suicide to avoid the humiliation of defeat and allowing the Destined One to take possession of the fifth Relic.
With five of the Relics now in their possession, the Destined One and Bajie return to Mount Huaguo to find the sixth and final Relic. On the way, they find that Sun Wukong's old weapons and armour have been hidden around the region, so they decide to recover them before the Court can. They then reach the summit of Mount Huaguo where the Destined One discovers that, as the "Destined One", he was also the sixth relic, Sun Wukong's mind, and that his true role is not to revive Sun Wukong per se, but to inherit Sun Wukong's name and powers and become his new incarnation. In order to complete the transmigration transformation, the Destined One is forced to battle Sun Wukong's mindless stone body. Upon the defeat of Sun Wukong's stone body, multiple endings are possible:
In the default ending, The Destined One fails to inherit Sun Wukong's legacy, and his body remains trapped inside the rock waiting for a new Destined One.
If the Destined One defeated Erlang in an optional boss fight prior to the final battle, he successfully inherits Sun Wukong's memories.

fun fact: At the start of the boss fight, Erlang, is a true chinese god, that is wu kong's rival. wukong is said to have 72 unique powers and Erlang have 73 unique powers so technical erlang should be more powerful. Much like Byakuya from bleach, Erlang is often cold and emotionless. Have highest standards of conduct and expects the same from those around him. Which is why he cannot stand Wukong's mischievous act

So far the second ending with completing all the hidden chapters, it end up with fighting Erlang, and also reveals a deeper mission of the story that he's actually a part of the plan, to help the Wukong to get rid of the curse hoop and to do so, Wukong has to die first. I think the other endings will be added with future DLC. It was originally supposed to be 13 chapters but the devs almost ran out of money so they basically released IMO a pretty good 6 chapters worth.

Influenced by the cunning schemes of Guangzhi and Guangmou to steal the kasaya and burn Tang Sanzang's quarters, the abbot's long-dormant desires resurfaced. Consumed by greed, he set fire to the temple, causing the deaths of countless monks. The precious kasaya, however, fell into the hands of Black Bear Guai. Overwhelmed by grief and remorse, the abbot struck his head against a wall, ending his life.
• Despite years of cultivation under the guidance of the Bodhisattva Guan Yin, Black Bear Guai remained perplexed. Why had the young novice resisted the allure of wealth yet succumbed to the temptation of a mere kasaya?
• The Bodhisattva Guan Yin smiled and replied, "Without that kasaya, how could sentient beings discern whether their attachments and desires to the mundane world had truly been severed?

Upon learning of this, he desired to disown his offspring. Yet, the Red Boy harbored affection for his father until witnessing his father's cowardice.

• Having successfully retrieved the sacred scriptures, the Monkey King ascended to Buddhahood. However, he soon realized that he remained bound by the Heavenly Court, as the golden headband continued to adorn his head. Thus, he once more rose up in defiance against the celestial realm.
• Ironically, the Bull Demon King, once a sworn brother to the Monkey King, now aligns himself with the Heavenly Court to pursue his former comrade.

One thing that pissed me off was them labelling the plant 'jade lotus' when they designed it to look like a WATER LILLY. THEY ARE TWO ENTIRELY DIFFERENT PLANTS. Lotus leaves and flowers rise out of the water, lily pads sit on the surface.

They were most likely gay couple and streamer lot together playing games. Was very popular among with the gay and lgbt community. But one time this guy stopped showing himself and went quiet.
