So basically the blue giant dragons has the HP of a "twilighted" Surtr, the ATK of "extended" Blaze, the DEF of 5* defenders, the block count of "shelled" Cuora and attack 4 enemies at once like Surtr

Not to mention if by some miracle you manage to get the dragon killed, you can summon up to 4 during battle, at most 2 at a time. Like imagine if Mudrock had like a 15-30 sec redep time. Who cares about self healing at that point? Only thing it has below Mudrock is slightly lower uptime and more importantly the fact that 1 dragon takes up 2 slots by itself, meaning it takes 3 slots to summon when you include Ling. Trying to play it off as Mudrock being significantly better is copium lol. Like, I agree she's generally balanced but they're pretty neck and neck. In places where you can use her she's just gonna blow Mudrock out of the water. It's like an Ifrit situation.
@@ValD98 Let's see here: Ling's dragons can die in mere seconds before you can even set up, the only way to 'heal' a dragon is combining them into a big one. the 46 dp just for 1 dragon and the deployment limit making her practically unusable in CC, the stats of the dragons are massive but their actual hp in practice is lower than Mudrock because of her consistent heals, stuns, slows and untargetable state. Ling dragons are really strong, as is Mudrock but it's really a case by case on which one is better. In CC and holding 1 lane with a lot of high dmg enemies, Mudrock has a higher chance to survive and can hold them longer, Ling is better for multilaning and dealing with a higher amounts of weak/intermediate enemies. And it's exactly as you say, if you can use Ling then she's really good and can surpass most other units but Mudrock is better/easier in most situations which is what a lot of players would prefer.

CC maps has tags that limits the number of operators you can bring, they also ban classes like casters, guards and defenders. She can fulfill multiple roles like a pseudo arts guard, defender and a caster. She would actually be broken if she can heal her summons whenever she activates her skills, good thing HG didn't do that.
She doesn't need to heal them though, she has like a stack of them, they die, just replace them, similar to soviet tank doctrine in ww2 where they intentionally made it break down at a certain point in battle and they just replace the broken parts.
I was so used to seeing a full squad on H7-1 that Ling soloing it got me surprised, but then I realized that the usual full squad is just there to buff the hell out of one operator lmao

I mean, having 2 block 4 attack 4 summons with similar stat to skill 3 skadi while still able to double their atk and def, if she can't solo a lot of stages I would actually start to question how hard the dev made the game
So what's the logic behind which tiles the summons combine on? In nearly every single combination, the summon that is put down last is fused into the dragon that was placed first, and so the combined form sits on the tile that the first dragon originally occupied. However, at 8:55 you can clearly see that the combined form this time fused onto the tile that the *second* dragon was placed on, so clearly it's not always a question of placement order. Is there some rule for this that is explained in the CN notes or something? EDIT: Okay I actually see how it works. If you place a dragon with its range pointing at another dragon, that dragon you just placed will combine into the one that it is pointing at when deployed. Makes me wonder what would happen if you face two dragons towards each other, maybe then they would respect deployment order? On the topic of deployment order, it appears that the dragons combining is *not* counted as a redeployment because at 10:15 the mortar shoots at the dragon that was combined first, because the initial dragon was placed after the initial dragon near Ling. Very cool operator, I am officially super hyped for an upcoming operator, it's been a while since I've felt quite this way. EDIT EDIT: Even MORE interesting stuff, at 14:50 you can see that when there are two candidates to combine into when you place a dragon (here the placed dragon can combine with either the one to the left or to the right), the placed dragon will prioritize any dragons that are within it's range. Since it is placed facing the dragon to the left, it combines into that dragon, respecting also the rules that it will fuse onto the tile of the dragon that it is facing towards, as described in the previous edit.
i think it has something to do with the orientation of the dragon, if both face each other, the last one is fused, otherwise it seems to be the one facing the other dragon that get fused
I don't have a cn account but it seems like which ever summon has another summon in its attack range. Most likely the 2nd summon dropped is used to merge with the summon already placed but when the 2nd summon isn't placed towards the 1st summon then the priorities change, the 1st summon merges with the 2nd summon.

She's alright in terms of damage and dps. She cant kill tanky mini bosses/high level trash mobs as good but I feel like this limited operator is just for people who already have all the meta units and just want something fun in exchange once in awhile. I'll stick with Nearl Alter instead.

When I saw Ling's summoned creatures' cost, I think that those were 23. However, in this video , her creatures' cost is 18. Is it because module effect?
Although Ling doesn't belong to the Boss slayer squad I still think she is OP to be able to solo that much stages with her dragons. Honestly, I even think that her strength and capability as a solo operator is on par with Thorns just minus the afk part.
Uuuh not really. Her summons are basically an AoE arts Mudrock but they take up 2 deployment slots. Basically means you're gonna have to find a way to deploy Ling herself, the two Mudrock esque dragons and maybe more AND have it be enough for 5 deployment slots. Even for someone with a maxed flagpipe trio, that's a lot. I tried using Mudrock and Chalter this event and that's the first time I actually noticed dp cost as a limitation in months. This is an even worse case.

imagine soloing SK-5, H7-1, MN-EX-8 + no drone buff top tier trust farm, good tier IS, and maybe non dp risk & deploy limit risk CC meta also didn't retreat the summons when the skill ends already makes her more playable even for non summoner user
Ling haters said she's bad coz of summon dp cost. Look at this guy not even bringing vanguard and didnt have any problem. Therefore I conclude that the haters are the ones that are bad in this game 😆
dp cost still a problem if you dont complete the module well after getting the module, dp becomes easier to manage but still for stages like cc high risk which has a max deploy limit of 6 and minus 50%-75% dp regen it will be very difficult to use only general use
@Lei bro you know that summon blocks 4 enemies, is tanky, and deals aoe arts damage right? You have defender + guard combined in that summon. It should definitely cost 2 dp limit tbh. Compare it to other summoners who can only block 1 so you need 4 of the summons to block 4 enemies which uses 4 dp limit... Ling only use 2 dp limit to block 4. It can defend like Kaltsit's Monster. In this video he showed Ling can solo some stages so why would the dp limit be a drawback? You dont even need anyone other than those summons 😆

She's still a meta worthy operator having no drawbacks when activating her skills like Magallan (retreating summons) and Scene (summons' self stun).

Although Ling doesn't belong to the Boss slayer squad I still think she is OP to be able to solo that much stages with her dragons. Honestly, I even think that her strength and capability as a solo operator is on par with Thorns just minus the afk part.

Uuuh not really. Her summons are basically an AoE arts Mudrock but they take up 2 deployment slots. Basically means you're gonna have to find a way to deploy Ling herself, the two Mudrock esque dragons and maybe more AND have it be enough for 5 deployment slots. Even for someone with a maxed flagpipe trio, that's a lot. I tried using Mudrock and Chalter this event and that's the first time I actually noticed dp cost as a limitation in months. This is an even worse case.

@@Mr.WhiteCat_YT Mag was used in 2 max risk clears iirc. Also it's map specific whether or not an operator is meta for CC. In any case a higher dps AoE arts Mudrock is bound to have some CC use eventually

dp cost still a problem if you dont complete the module
well after getting the module, dp becomes easier to manage
but still for stages like cc high risk which has a max deploy limit of 6 and minus 50%-75% dp regen
it will be very difficult to use
only general use

@Lei bro you know that summon blocks 4 enemies, is tanky, and deals aoe arts damage right? You have defender + guard combined in that summon. It should definitely cost 2 dp limit tbh. Compare it to other summoners who can only block 1 so you need 4 of the summons to block 4 enemies which uses 4 dp limit... Ling only use 2 dp limit to block 4. It can defend like Kaltsit's Monster. In this video he showed Ling can solo some stages so why would the dp limit be a drawback? You dont even need anyone other than those summons 😆
