The house I grew up in and my mother lived there until a year before her death, I absolutely loved and maybe I can buy it someday. Anyway. It had a coal shute, front porch where we spent a lot of time, a laundry shute, a milk door, a staircase that connected the large master suite upstairs to a small bedroom where presumably the live-in nanny would stay. My kids loved that house. Lots of room and lots of love.
