That white reaction screen when they get hit by the explosion gets reeeaaally stupid and repetitive after the first time you see it
Ya it's annoying just like the split scene affect in raging blast one
Budokai 3 still stands as best Ultimates.
It may have been repetitive but at least these ultimates had some kind of animation. Cough, Xenoverse, Cough.

Edgy Cinematics are essential to any fighting game especially anime games like DBZ. Cinematic Ultimate attacks. Look at Budokai.
Anybody else find it funny how the victim looks when being damaged by an ultimate.

This, Budakai 1,2,3 all had that amazing combat system I love. Hope they bring it back, all the dbz's after this never seem to get it right imo

1 and 2 had the best hand to had fighting system with the high speed rush attacks. 3 had great cinematics and beam struggles. If you combine all that then you have the perfect DBZ game.

Well, we ignored the fact that in older games, Semi and Perfect Cell, had 1st for cell voice during his impact grunts..so...yes.

That's because they had to use what they were working with. His Japanese voice actor doesn't change his voice to match the form like the English voice actors do.

do some ultimates only work after certain attacks?
ex: to do SSJ2 Gohan's Ultimate, do you have to do a beam clash?
Nope. All of them work right off. Besides Instant Kamehameha which can still fire but has the teleport built in when you're gonna get hit.

So this game has the reverse problem with Cell? All his voices are in his perfect form
To be fair Burst Limit had some creative ideas and skills, but it kinda fell flat, like i still can't understand how hard it was to actually make the planet explode even if your opponent ran out of health if you used an ultimate

You can use any Ultimate in any form except Spirit Bomb in Super Saiyan with Goku.

like, literally I went "WTF?!" when I saw that for the first time in this game XD
I get why he has that attack, but fucking seriously they should have given him the right attack for that ultimate, for those who dont know: Final Crash, same pose, blue color, different name, it's basically the precursor to the Final Flash and it fits appropriately there, NOT Final Flash XD
