That pizza fuzz rules! I'm not a djenty boi but I love me some Darkglass.... 5 of their pedals, a PSA2.0, a Robo Pedals Tri Fuzz and a compressor covers what I need for bass.
Standard Crybaby. Hated the whole thing, but a couple changes made me love it. I opened it to set the sweep lower (That factory setting is horrible), and I put it right before my amp. Drives and Fuzzes before it give it some nice medium frequencies to work with, and you can use it as a master filter for some really nice effects.
In 15 years of serious playing and gigging, I only own a compressor, but I've only used it like 3 times hahaha. But I mostly play jazz, funk, R&B so a bass plugged straight into everything except a tube amp works for me excellently haha
Ive owned everything and never used nothing. Straight into the svt. A dbx compressor sittin up there not even turned on. Boss ce2..tube screamer..mint colleecting dust...nothing else needed but a good p bass. Dont even bother changing those strings.

Drive and wah like Cliff I run an a/b rig with a marshall guitar amp the wah goes into that so my bass amp is the clean low end then i have the distortion and wah to make it heavy
I’ll generally find something to like with any effect I try on bass. But I’ll specify fuzzes and pitch-shifters, those are often especially interesting.
I bought a boss flanger a boss delay and a boss distortion forty years ago. All three have been used an abused for four decades. I’ve never given them any servicing or tlc. They still work perfectly. Just saying.

Envelope filter, chorus, light overdrive and an MXR micro amp coming up the rear like the trusty soldier it is. Had it since 2001.
