Great video! This is exactly 100% the only question I came to RUclips to search for! because I’m studying for my written, and I just did 60/B*70 to confirm answer B, but I wanted to know the exact ins-and-outs of obtaining IAS. Thank you so much!
The solution is to have a decent e6b. A nice question though. As soon as you see altitude and temperature you know you are going to derive approximate ias from the tas indicated on the outer scale. Tas is where the dot ends up when you do the wind calculation and align the centre dot on 140 at the last step. The video highlights the importance of checking your purchase.
I am really happy you do these videos. I am learning to fly and I have a question. If I have a CX2 do I still need the E6B? My pilot friend says he's been flying for a while, but he never uses it.
What number on what line did you use to find 140 kts after you used the pressure altitude window. The only thing you did in this video is explain that you paper e6-b sucks.
Thank you for doing this slowly and as concisely as you have, I’ve been pulling my hair out with this E6B. This cleared it up. Much appreciated sir

The problem I was trying to solve was the exact example u showed. That made it easy lol
Thank you very much, I was sunk at the point where you need the temperature for further calculation. :)
Helped me out thank you although there are problems more complex

I literally got this exact questions wrong, then went and clicked on the first video I found and saw the same questions on the screen lol.
Thank you for explaining built in errors and checking on another e6-b.. pressure problems are working on being my downfall 😞.
Thank you for help, good explanation, it help me a lot
