You do understand that these ships are located in highly trafficked merchant shipping lanes and that the nations surrounding these sites were European colonies subjugated and exploited for a couple of centuries and hardly likely to take kindly to Europeans reasserting any kind of dominion in their territory?
My wife's great Grandad went down with this ship. His name is J. J Ashton, I'm an ex Royal Navy ships diver, I'm disscusted with this. Only Royal Navy divers can dive these wrecks, to renew there ensigns, that will constantly fly in there watery grave.
The British passed a law that only Royal Navy divers can dive these wrecks which are located in the territorial waters of other countries? Good luck enforcing it.
@@paulryan1631 Blatant imperialism like this is why they were sunk to begin with, the UK has no rights over these hunks of scrap in another democracies waters.
We all know who the culprit of the illegal salvaging is, but they can't be stopped as their nation has no respect for anyone. Abhorrent people with no conscience.
This should be condemned by every nation and those doing this should be inprisoned both ships and anyship sunk in war are war graves there bodies in them ships
It will not be condemned because people are making serious money out of it. Our Government should demand action but there no chance of anyone listening to those clowns.
WHY DO THE BRITS LET THIS HAPPEN, THESE SHIPS ARE WAR GRAVES,AND SHOULD BE PROTECTED BY ANY MEANS,YES PUT MINES AROUND THEM,AND LET IT BE KNOWN YOU DO NOT SCRAP A WAR GRAVE
Great job done by Japanese torpedo bombers in Nov 1941 in South China Sea. Prince of Wales had earlier managed to escape by launching smoke screen bombs ,in the Battle of Denmark Straits in May 1941 . The honour of sending HMS Prince of wales to the locker of Old Davy Jones was left for the Japanese.
my grandfather able seaman Clifford Bryant served on this ship he survived the sinking and went on to serve on the warspite

@historigraph, great way to promote other channels!
My great uncle "Sandy" he's in there somewhere.
May he RIP . Brave man.
My grandad was in the Royal Navy from 1917 to 1946. He spent the late 1920s to early 1930s on HMS Repulse.
Grave robbing how vile. Awful awful people.
Neratte~ Pon!
A fellow man of culture
Perhaps a modern minefield should be placed around both vessels with sufficient warning signs in Chinese
Afterall both ships are war graves .
I was thinking that weeks ago, but why spoil it with warning-signs of any kind ?

@@J.A.Hansen he's meaning why put warning signs. Let them blow themselves up.
Its pre-atomic age steel that's why it is so valuable, I think it is Malasian salvagers doing most of it

Wasn't this dug up by China?
that was the HMS Exeter which has disappeared ) gone totally - this ship , Repulse has been vandalised however
Did she land upright?

Causalities in Prince of Wales were all of combatants.
Where as deaths in atomic attacks were those of innocent civilians.
