Bad breath and constant lip/nose licking are also a sign of dental problems in a cat, ask me how I know. After complaining to my vet for months about it my kitty and I refused to be fobbed off any longer. The vet said she has gingivitis but on our way out of the door told me to look up stomatitis on the internet, I had no idea what it was until I did and he gave me no other advice or info when we were there.
I’m so angry that my girl could’ve been in so much unnecessary pain for so long, I’m praying that antibiotics work but stomatitis is a horrible condition and I’m concerned about her future especially since I rely on the PDSA charity for her care because I’m unable to work through disability.
I was looking into pet insurance a couple of days before the vet visit but couldn’t afford it until I get paid but now it’s going to be tricky because a lot of insurers refuse cover if your pet has a pre-existing condition or charge a small fortune (for me) if they do, upset and angry doesn’t cover it.

I'm sorry to hear your cat is having dental issues. Any antibiotics we have requires a prescription from your vet to be on file before we can send them to you. We have Zymox Oratene Veterinarian Drinking Water Additive> here's the link> www.revivalanimal.com/product/biotene-veterinarian-drinking-water-additive?sku=17153-740. Sheryl at Revival.

I have a Russian Blue that keeps losing her front teeth. It's like she has shark tooth syndrome. The front teeth keep coming out, but new teeth keep filling in. I guess it's generic or rare. No records shows that the cat was ever stitched from mouth injuries. I give her plenty dry food. Shouldn't be a tartar problem. I've given the cat greenie chews before. Helps the loose teeth to come out. She eats high quality food from a pet store so I don't know what the problem is.

Take your cat to the vet! If you can’t afford a vet then you should not own one! Also get off the dry food and give him a high quality wet food! Greetings from Australia 🇦🇺

@@djratino My cat has feline leukemia going on 8 years! Was your cat losing weight? If not then your cat would be a carrier of leukemia and should NOT be euthanized!

is sneezing a symptom? my cat drinks plenty of water, but has a very hard time eating. sometimes he smells the food and walks away, a very few times he will eat 5 or 10 max pieces of kibble and go back to sleep... as for wet food he is simply licking the gravy, tried to pick up 2 or 3 wet pieces of food but drops them... tried with boiled chicken breast (his favorite) but didn't eat any.
tomorrow i am going for recovery and a/d royal canin food...
but he drinks and retains water, thank God he doesn't have diarrhea neither puking.... but he eats soooo little... he has lost half his weight in 1 or 2 years....

Dental disease that affects the teeth, gums, and even the roof of the mouth can all lead to sneezing and other respiratory symptoms. I would recommend to have your vet examine your feline if you're concerned. Sheryl at Revival

@@RevivalAnimal thank you, he was checked on Friday (today is Monday) and they said it might be stomatitis so he came back home with pills but I have not been able to feed him the pills since he has a lot of trouble eating.
I scheduled another appointment for today already.
i am thinking they might need to sedate him to actually look properly into his mouth...
i am just so sad, 14 years with my best friend ever...
      thanks for your help.

My cat (feemale) was in heat, however she was not so stubborn so we chosed to wait a little longer for doing castration, we closed her inside home and she spent time with us, it lasted 5 days, suddenly my cat stopped eating and we bring her to the vet and we were told that it could be some kind of virus (like cold, flu or something and she got 3 inections), she starts eating again a little but again after maybe a day or two she got that circle in mouth that after few hours started bleeding, l know it hurts her bcz she doesnt eat and cry sometimes, l gotta wait Monday for go to the vet...l really hope its not serious and that l can wait 24h more, my heart breaks seeing her in pain, what this could be?

My cat was pawing after eating. Had three infected teeth that were pulled and thought the "pawing" would stop but after a week and off of pain meds, it started again. Could this be because of the stitches? Or is there possibly an infection again? If it was an infection, wouldn't she paw all the time and not just after eating?

Danna, I would recommend to have your vet examine her. It's possible the infection is back if it wasn't originally clear up. Sheryl at Revival.

By far the most common cause of mouth ulceration in cats is periodontal disease or related conditions, such as tooth root abscesses, cysts, and stomatitis. Other causes, though less frequent, include: Infections such as herpes virus, calicivirus, feline leukemia virus (FeLV), or feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV). Sheryl at Revival
