I confirm that It’s not always an advantage to lose your accent. Here in Zürich, if I spoke German (Schriftdeutsch) without my French accent, the Swiss Alemanni would not like me. Why? Because their language is the Zurich dialect, not German. As they can identify me as a francophone, they like me and compliment me on my German. And they find my accent sexy, exactly as Lisa tell us in the video. My son also has my French accent when he speaks German, because when he was little I was the person he heard speak most German. However, he has an advantage over me: he speaks the Zurich dialect fluently and without accent.

Mais grâce à Mosalingua, j'espère bientôt parler russe sans accent.

So true. I'm often told my American accent is sexy... oh, wait, I'm NEVER told that. In fact I don't think that sentence has ever been said with a straight face! 😂
