Hi Freddie, why don’t you try standing the trailer up on end, and leaning it against the wall? It will take up little to no room when stored like that. Love the Triumph.

Freddie, I love all the little gems you’ve found in Tenerife. The Panda is a great fun car that originally was meant for farmers and people working or living out in the country side, and it is super reliable and incredibly easy to repair. THe Ural is a bike I have been after for years now. I think they were originally Russian military bikes. THere is a guy somewhere in northern United States who rides his every single to to work including in the snow during the harsh winter days of the US Midwest. The Vespas are everywhere in Spain. I live in Seville, and they are absolutely everywhere. Modern, old, and anywhere in between. Finally, the Mercedes. My very first car was a 1979 Mercedes 300D, gifted to me by my uncle. It was light blue, with matching hubcaps, and matching velvet interior. Glad to see you and Monica are enjoying your time there.
If you notice the hub between the rear wheel and the sidecar on the Ural you will see this is 2 wheel drive. It also has a reverse gear, Great in the Siberian snow.
Well Freddie, you have got it all, beautiful Monica, a great bike and living in paradise. What more could you want. I was a bit surprised you were caught out by the URAL, a Russian copy of the early BMW Boxer motorcycle. Great stuff.
Great Sunday morning viewing, loving your rides around Tenerife and the information you’re sharing. The weather looks great out there. Hi Freddie and Monica, thanks for great relaxing Sunday morning viewing. It looks so warm and sunny. I’m very jealous 😎. I know I'm way late to the party but you mention someone recommended changing fluid to 5.1 which wasn't the problem with you brakes although it would fix it. Brake fluid absorbs water from the atmosphere during its time in your brake system and it's the water that boils, forms gas and thus compresses. New dot 4 will fix it even in Tenerife. Also pads worn very thin will transmit more heat into the caliper so can be a factor. Great videos as always Freddie.

Ural Motorcycles exist for quite a long while and they're designed for reliable service over rough terrain (from urban to back-country), Russian-made Ural motorcycles are as rugged as their namesake mountain range and I think a new model is coming out next year. 👍👍
LML is a Vespa made under licence in India. They kept producing the PX even after the licence contract was expired. LML sold the PX for a couple of years in Europe too.
Hello again Freddie. Good video again. 👍🏻👍🏻 The abandoned Mercedes-Benz that you have taken in your video, according to a mobile application that I have installed on my phone and that identifies any license plate that you consult, is 24 years and 9 months old. It was registered on January 1, 1997. When you come to Santa Cruz, yes you will see motorcycles of all models around here (be prepared, you will not stop moving your head to all sides. Hahahaha 😂😂😂😂). You will also find the largest shopping centers on the island. Greetings to you and Mónica, and I am waiting for your next video.
Back in 1987 or 1988 we took a Seat Panda up Mount Teide, we just followed a track and kept climbing! we were 5 up and the little car just took it in its stride. The tracks got fainter the higher we got but amazingly the panda took us to within a short walk 500m or so of the rim of the crater. This tiny car climbed about 10,500 ft up the volcano with 5 adults on board and it wasn't even the 4x4 version! Perhaps you would like to recreate the adventure?
Enjoying the old vehicles still on the road in your shows. F2 Motorcycles, Wisbech, are the guys for Ural in the UK, they are quite expensive though, on some models the sidecar wheel is also driven, can go anywhere. The LML is made in India, think the new ones have a 4 stroke twist and go scooter style engine.
I came across a newer version of the Ural with sidecar recently at Arches National Park in Utah USA. I dont know how I could share the pic with you. Impressive machine.
Love the videos, quite a bit fan of Tenerife myself and been all around the Island You and Monica doing a great job, maybe they have job for you in Top Gear 😁😁 Keep up the good work and a happy new year regards from Norway
Hearing you go on about that Mercedes reminded me of the Black Knight scene in Monty Python and the Holy Grail, "'Tis but a scratch". After he's had all his limbs chopped off 😁😁
Loving all the forgotten era car stuff !,I owned a similar but more basic (one wheel drive, telescopic forks) Russian combo badged as a Neval in UK for a few years in the 80's ,it certainly had character !.
@@FreddieDobbs I have a sneaky suspicion that that will never happen over here. I have spent a kings ransom on both Costa and Starbucks here in the UK! Take Care you two ⭐️⭐️
We get a lot of Urals over here, affordable, come with a sidecar usually, haven’t changed in a long time. Not the fastest highway motorcycle though! Loving the scooter highlights! I’ve had Vespa, Honda, Lambretta, currently ride a Vespa GTS300 and think you NEED one in Tenerife!
Freddie and Monica. Ural motorcycle is made in Russia and imported through Washington State here in the USA. That one you saw was a Troka model they did a few years back. For the brake fluid use what’s recommended by Triumph for your bike. The wrong fluid will destroy the brake system. Just a bit advice.
Hi , get your selves a URAL and start a new video of WALLACE AND GROMMET ,ON TOUR . LOL , just remember no , filtering through the traffic . Thanks for a great video in the sun and were hankering down , Trike is in garage and the Rib will be out of the water next week , so hibernation for 5 months . The free parking , must be a dream come true and in all that sun shine , thank you for the trip around and the cake looks wonderful .
It’d definitely take some adjusting with no filtering! Free parking for cars and bikes is fantastic. I hope you’ve given the trike its long goodnight checkover so it’ll be fresh and ready for next season!🙂
@@FreddieDobbs Hi , got my list ready rib first as in a boat yard and then the trike as it is only 2 feet away in the lounge , ready for the Xmas decs . Have fun .
Enjoying the Tenerife adventures jealous of the weather though usually spend a bit of time in Gran Canaria at this time of the year but not for the last two years so missing the winter sun. Good to see you found out about the Ural sure others have already commented. The Benelli is a bike you get here in the UK TMF did a review a few years ago and their are a few channels that are dedicated to this type of bike but mostly the Honda version nicknamed the Grom 👍
Use recommended brake fluid specs only. Upgrade the pads (maybe discs too) and stay in low gear. That Merc could be really nice with not a lot of work providing the engine is OK
LML is the Indian version of the Vespa PX, but the model you saw is the four stroke engine developed by LML, not the famous two stroke of the Italian geared scooter... Thanks for taking us with you guys!
Just come across your channel, love the videos Freddie, great quality, top tunes and great presenting. Really interested in your move to Tenerife as it's something we're hoping to do next year, I've watched the setting off video did you do a reasons why and what inspired you video? Also, you mentioned you were staying for 6 months, can you still do that following Brexit?
Hi Freddie Loving your videos me and my partner also lived in Tenerife and traveled all over on my triumph should be back out the next year as I’m recovering from a bad broken leg try the biker cafe on the road up to mount teide it’s so cool All the best Ed
I believe the Ural bikes come from Russia. As the styling hints they were copies of the 1930s BMWs. The leading link front suspension is to make the steering work better with a sidecar. When I was a lad they had a left hand side kick start, which was ok for a continental sidecar, but rather difficult to kick start with a British sidecar . (No electric starters in those days). They also did some models with drive to the sidecar wheel for off road use. I once saw one on display that had been used by the Spanish Police, not sure but I think it was in Jerez or Seville. Interesting looking bikes. Have you ever tried riding a combination (bike and sidecar)? I bought one once (Honda CX500 with a Watsonian single seat sidecar). Horrible to ride. Once I removed the sidecar, the bike gave me years of good fun, including trips to southern Spain and also to the south of France.
Very nice video Freddie, Tenerife is beautiful. Bit worried about your front brake I think it's more than just the fluid, I would suggest you get a mechanic to look at it.
Vespas are perfect for that climate yeah. A mate of mine had one when we were 16, and I was always very jealous from my Gilera Runner 50SP which was decently quick but a real chavmobile. You've got a few scooter dealers on the island, including Tifon which I think are official Vespa distributers. When I was looking at moving to the island a couple of years back my plan was to sell my vehicles in the UK and get one of the bigger Vespas on arrival, a GTS300 or something. Perfect sunny climate riding machine, but with enough poke to make it up to the hills too. What a life that would be.
I thank you for your response, I really enjoy your videos and am a bit jealous of your life style! I am retired, and still don't have the freedom to travel like you do as my wife suffers from rheumatoid arthritis and is some what limited! I do get out for day rides that are very enjoyable. I love the enthusiasm you have for all your experiences! I am traveling through your eyes!
That was a Benelli TNT135, like a Honda Grom. That would a great bike for zipping around the island. Edit: Well, in the USA it's a 135, this one is the 125 (probably due to EU moto license segments), but same idea.
Any thing for your bike go to DC Motos in Los cristianos, they speak english, good pricing and top workmanship. They have rebuilt a whole engine on one of my bikes.
Check the brake system is compatible with for 5 before you use it. Use rear brake to assist and engine braking. Might want to change disk pads too. Riding a bike with flip flops is fine until you fall off and need a replacement ankle... :-)
yep nice one guys enjoying these and looking forward to each new one * ) yah it's a shame the uk Gov/local councils don't think bigger like has been said a thriving local community shops pubs beaches' free parking for all etc would be a much happier and financially better off one ... was going to say the same as Andy about the trailer as well * )
Cant get my head around you having never heard of a URAL .LOL A poor mans BMW some people call it .I am the same as you always looking at the motors when i am in a foreign Country .I visited Tenerife Christmas 2019 before all the covid madness .Hope to get back some time when all the testing requirements are over .
Honestly I am a bit embarrassed to have never heard of Ural! And I agree- the testing requirements put me of air travel. No tests needed for car travel though- it was like being back in 2019 again!🙂
Ural is a Russian company and started making the bike and sidecar for the war effort back in the early 1940s. They were intended as all terrain so ideal for biking off road in places like the Canaries!
Urals are great, I'll echo others in being surprised you've not heard of them before. They're a Russian brand that's been around basically forever making reverse-engineered BMW engine bikes. They're mostly known for the sidecars, though they do have normal bikes too, and they're still making basically the same bikes today, albeit with slightly modernised engines with fuel injection and so on. They even make two-wheel drive versions for better off-road and Winter abilities (bike rear and sidecar wheel). They're rough and agricultural but I'd definitely like to own one some day.
Great vid man. got my cbt in a few weeks, then on to DAS. Your vid has inspired me to get a Mutt fat sabbath 250. And already thinking of a ride to Tenerife next summer :)
Ohh Freddie man why would you ever want to come back here after sampling life there .So much cool stuff cool lifestyle and a bike you are in heaven enjoy .I see that Monica has a scooter bias I think she should take the plunge even for a little while to see if the bug bites her just rent one for a week or two ,go on Monica you know you want too . : D
If I am correct, LML stands for Lohiya machinery limited, an India based company (actually my hometown) that collaborated with Vespa in the scooter sector
*Non-bike related* - what a good idea to rent long term in somewhere like Tenerife. The cost of 6mths rental at ~€1k a-month is still cheaper than a 2 week holiday. My wife and I are now looking for long term property rentals around the Canaries as a result of me watching your adventures.
I’m delighted to hear that!!🙂 This is exactly Monika and my thinking- the savings with long term rentals are incredible! Last year Monika and I stayed in a stunning two bed penthouse in Almeria for £400 a month (all bills included!), and two years ago we did the same in Split, Croatia for £360p/m!🙂
Ural was/is an ex Soviet copy of the BMW combinations used in WWII by the axis powers. Flat twin shaft drive etc. I had an Action man toy BMW combo toy waaay back !
We still drive a 1995 Jeep Cherokee and my Wife the 2002 grand Cherokee (we are old enough to be your ganga and nana😁). I have pin pointed where ya'lls home is, the street view hasn't been updated and is a field. Isa still doesn't want to look cause she's homesick. I did show her the Paella Pans. PS Hope the brakes are fixed.
My mother in laws partner is very much into military vehicles of all sorts and a few years ago took me to a classic bike and military vehicle meet in Saratt, that was the only time I'd seen an Ural (which also had a side car), I'd never heard of nor seen any up to that point either. Russian manufacturer I believe.
Amazed you’ve never heard of Ural with their leading link front forks - which is a not uncommon modification on many sidecar bikes not just Urals. Never really caught on for solo bikes though Greaves used to have a sort of similar arrangement. They were Russian made originally and since 2022 made in Kazakstan - not the USA though they are sold there.
Hey Freddie, loving the Vlogs. We are working our way through them. I nearly bought a brand new Seat panda in the late eighties but ended up buying a 2CV instead. I wish I had kept it. They're worth a fortune now. How long did it take you to lose the fluffy bit off of your Røde Mic. I lost one within about 2 weeks. I don't think you can buy them either. I've ended up buying the Lavalier to plug into it, which is brilliant.
Buenas Dias Freddie y Monika. Envious of that climate mind..... Have you noticed any biker outlets with ByCity clothing? Some of their designs look fantastic for in or off the bike. Gary de la Toon

Watching your reactions to everything, kid in a candy store springs to mind 😅 , we do get the benelli in the uk 125cc
I can’t help myself!😆
Thanks Trevor- I’d never seen one but they look brilliant fun!
Love the videos, quite a bit fan of Tenerife myself and been all around the Island
You and Monica doing a great job, maybe they have job for you in Top Gear 😁😁
Keep up the good work and a happy new year regards from Norway
Great video guys keep up the good work 👍 👍 👍
LML scooters are made in India with old Vespa tooling left over from when they made Vespa under license there, another great vid by the way
Hearing you go on about that Mercedes reminded me of the Black Knight scene in Monty Python and the Holy Grail, "'Tis but a scratch". After he's had all his limbs chopped off 😁😁
I wish I could have roam with you sir😍😍 amazing tour!!
Loving all the forgotten era car stuff !,I owned a similar but more basic (one wheel drive, telescopic forks) Russian combo badged as a Neval in UK for a few years in the 80's ,it certainly had character !.
Wow! There’s something about Russian vehicles- just like the Ladas- they have a weirdly irresistible charm!
Everything looks wonderful. I want to go back to Costa Adeje. Next time ride a bike there 😎
You sold Tenerife to me when I noticed Starbucks at end 🙃
Loving the music that always perfectly compliments the video 👌
It’s embarrassing how many times we’ve already been to that Starbucks- and they give you a 50% Off Your Next Drink coupon every time you go!😀☕️
@@FreddieDobbs I have a sneaky suspicion that that will never happen over here. I have spent a kings ransom on both Costa and Starbucks here in the UK! Take Care you two ⭐️⭐️
Cracking wee vid Freddie and hopefully bike companies take advantage of you being on island for those launches. Def worth trying to save the Merc 😎
Thanks JB! I am in the right place for bike launches!🤞🏻🤞🏻🙂
Thanks Stephen- I’m on the case trying to get a Vespa because I now have my heart set on it!🙂👌🏻
Hi love watching the videos - can you let us know which towns you go to and the places you eat so I can try them out when I come back to Tenerife
Thank you!!!
@@FreddieDobbs you’re welcome
Have fun .
Great vids mate,i though you could only have 90 days in 180 in the shengan area,i hope im wrong.
Enjoying the Tenerife adventures jealous of the weather though usually spend a bit of time in Gran Canaria at this time of the year but not for the last two years so missing the winter sun. Good to see you found out about the Ural sure others have already commented. The Benelli is a bike you get here in the UK TMF did a review a few years ago and their are a few channels that are dedicated to this type of bike but mostly the Honda version nicknamed the Grom 👍
...you took the words from my....fingers....
Thanks for this- I love the look of these mini bikes👌🏻👌🏻
I must get out to GC- I’ve heard many good things!
HI freddy, great vlogs some of the Russian ural bikes have a rear differential lock making both back wheels drive !
Hi Freddie
Loving your videos me and my partner also lived in Tenerife and traveled all over on my triumph should be back out the next year as I’m recovering from a bad broken leg try the biker cafe on the road up to mount teide it’s so cool
All the best
Ed
Thanks so much Ed- i’ll check out this biker cafe!🙂
In 1986 LML had a joint venture with Piaggio, so yes a copy vespa Freddie but joint venture so you were kind of right 😂
I believe the Ural bikes come from Russia.
I do agree- a mechanic trip will be booked imminently!🙂
life is one long holiday for some, no worries about the nhs
Freddie check out the ural i think the transmission also goes to sidecar wheel proper rural tractor.
You’re absolutely right- drive to both rear wheels- brilliant!👌🏻👌🏻
Vespas are perfect for that climate yeah. A mate of mine had one when we were 16, and I was always very jealous from my Gilera Runner 50SP which was decently quick but a real chavmobile. You've got a few scooter dealers on the island, including Tifon which I think are official Vespa distributers. When I was looking at moving to the island a couple of years back my plan was to sell my vehicles in the UK and get one of the bigger Vespas on arrival, a GTS300 or something. Perfect sunny climate riding machine, but with enough poke to make it up to the hills too. What a life that would be.
Thank you so much for sharing this- I hadn’t been able to find a Vespa dealership, so i’ll check Tifon out!🙂🙌🏻
I think I found my new favourite youtube channel :)
Love the bell moto3 ,old school
Just can't understand why you Love those square little cars!
I can’t explain it!😆🤷🏼♂️
I thank you for your response, I really enjoy your videos and am a bit jealous of your life style! I am retired, and still don't have the freedom to travel like you do as my wife suffers from rheumatoid arthritis and is some what limited! I do get out for day rides that are very enjoyable. I love the enthusiasm you have for all your experiences! I am traveling through your eyes!
@@ronaldthomas9396 Thanks Ronald and I'm sorry to hear that about your wife. I'm glad you still manage to get out on the bike though!🙂
The LML is a two stroke Piaggio 👍
That was a Benelli TNT135, like a Honda Grom. That would a great bike for zipping around the island.
Edit: Well, in the USA it's a 135, this one is the 125 (probably due to EU moto license segments), but same idea.
Really enjoy following your life story as I have the same interests as yours. Supporting with this comment (for the ol' algorithm).
Thank you Gerald!🙂🙌🏻🙌🏻
Any thing for your bike go to DC Motos in Los cristianos, they speak english, good pricing and top workmanship. They have rebuilt a whole engine on one of my bikes.
Check the brake system is compatible with for 5 before you use it. Use rear brake to assist and engine braking. Might want to change disk pads too. Riding a bike with flip flops is fine until you fall off and need a replacement ankle... :-)
yep nice one guys enjoying these and looking forward to each new one * ) yah it's a shame the uk Gov/local councils don't think bigger like has been said a thriving local community shops pubs beaches' free parking for all etc would be a much happier and financially better off one ... was going to say the same as Andy about the trailer as well * )
Thanks Vince, and I completely agree!
Edit: Ah you google it later in the vid. So yeah still going strong, Russian brand though, IMZ-Ural is (or was) the full name.
Great vid man. got my cbt in a few weeks, then on to DAS. Your vid has inspired me to get a Mutt fat sabbath 250. And already thinking of a ride to Tenerife next summer :)
Thanks Pete and good luck with the CBT!🙌🏻🙌🏻
I’m delighted to hear it- I’m a huge Mutt fan and the Sabbath looks ridiculously cool!⚡️
It really is a glorious lifestyle!🌊☀️🌴
Thanks for this Malcolm- I’ve ahown this to Monika to hopefully give her some ideas!🙂
@@FreddieDobbs Te veis en el proximo : )
Keep up the video Freddie 🙂
Thanks!
I’m delighted to hear that!!🙂
This is exactly Monika and my thinking- the savings with long term rentals are incredible!
Last year Monika and I stayed in a stunning two bed penthouse in Almeria for £400 a month (all bills included!), and two years ago we did the same in Split, Croatia for £360p/m!🙂
I use to have a trailer. Put it on its side against a garage or wall
Ural was/is an ex Soviet copy of the BMW combinations used in WWII by the axis powers. Flat twin shaft drive etc. I had an Action man toy BMW combo toy waaay back !
on video one the first track ?? what is it please
Well done young man great videos. Keep it up you have a great recording voice should put yourself out there for some promotional businesses
Thank you!🙂
We still drive a 1995 Jeep Cherokee and my Wife the 2002 grand Cherokee (we are old enough to be your ganga and nana😁).
Interesting- they are completely new to me, but seem to have a strong following as a super tough, utilitarian bike!💪🏼
The Benneli TNT is sold in the uk to compete with the Honda MSX grom, both 125cc. The TNT is roughly £2000 new and the Grom is around £3400
Thanks Iain- superb value!
Ooooooh I like this- I’ve heard of ByCity and will do a video about it if I find an outlet! Thanks Gary!🙂
