I love this movie!!! I have watched it 4 times in 1 day and I cannot stop. The book and the movie are great. The chemistry between Nick and Taylor is off the charts!!! I laughed, I cried. Everytime I watch it I see more details and nuances that I missed. The love making scene was perfection!!! Never seen anything like that before. ❤ I have now seen it 14 times! Tim, I got confused by the title. I thought you were reacting to the Three Colours trilogy: Blue, White, and Red from the early 90s. They're a trilogy of French-Polish films named after the colors of the French flag and what they represent. They're regarded as masterpieces, especially in regards to their cinematography. I hope you can watch and react to those - it's about time somebody did.
Red, White and Blue are the colors in the American flag. Royal Blue is a color that was invented for a British Queen named Queen Charlotte and has been associated with royalty ever since. Thus the title Red, White and Royal Blue.
While it’s a cute movie I have to say the more I watch these reactions the more I cringe at Alex’s acting. It’s very overly dramatic and hallmarky at some parts. I find Henry’s acting to feel much more natural and it doesn’t feel like forced line delivery. im not that much of a fan of Alex’s character really either. He’s very pushy despite Henry constantly saying he’s not ready for the stress being public will cause in his life and potentially cause long term destruction in his family relationships. Alex was lucky to have an accepting family but his partner didn’t and he wasn’t respectful of that he only advocates for what he wanted.
Only disliking because the movie shouldn't have been made. As always, your reactions are welcome, but this story started out as a Sims fanfic written by a British born teenager and then an American nobody stole most of it and rewrote the whole thing without even bothering to change the characters' names. #ReadItEarly

Henry NEVER shoved Alex. They were fighting over the hankerchief and Alex lost his grip, then his balance and he fell back onto the cake.
