It fits perfectly because when we saw Michael running from Franklin in a terrified way it shows Michael couldn't take responsibility and that he's been running his whole life also thinking he can outrun a new responsibility which is Franklin. But Franklin putted an end to his running :(

Great ending, and I thought it didn't make sense years ago when I first played but now I see different. And this song fits so well. Even just the organs in the intro made me feel like I was in a dark church, at a funeral wake
