kingdebary you did good. Beautiful bike. I think I told the story on here about the two dudes I watched unload a brand new one of those back when and within an hour of kicking it in tennis shoes they both broke a foot a piece.
I’ve had several left side KTM open class bikes. I will lean the bike over first than put it in gear and rock the bike back and forth about 4 times and than by the 3rd kick it starts. I use this technique on all my 2 stroke bikes also. I guarantee you will be glad you tried it ... are your money back.

I can understand why you'd want a liquid cooled, because of the performance, and better cooling system, and yata yata yata, but the sound of an air cooled engine is better in my opinion.
@@cockroach5717 Liquid cooled is also quieter- easier to be stealthy with if need be. I allready have an air cooled bike, a IT490 (that I'm switching to YZ spec) and it's engine noise is much, much louder then either my CR or KX500s. Im going to try to get some rubber dampers to quiet those ringing fins, but it'll allways be louder.
@@dr.hugog.hackenbush9443 Meh, I prefer the sound of a loud 2 stroke, but making it quieter is what you wanna do. I have a motorized bike on my channel with details about it being sold if you are interested. I have a video of it on my channel, if you wanna come see it. I have to get an idle screw for the carb first, though. After we sell it me and my dad may go get either a Yamaha DT125 or GT80 Enduro. Cheers and God Bless.

Sir, you need a museum. I have a 77 maico in relatively good shape, it needs someone to love it the way you take care of yours! Amazing.
is yours a 250, 400 or 440?

I had 1 in the 80's, great bike. Awesome power. Nice one.
Just saw this on my feed. A year old! But damn that's a nice Maico. Always loved them! Power monsters!!
Rode one back in the 80's. A real trench digger! Unbelievable torque.
It's a great handling bike with a lot of torque

Damn that thing is beautiful. Hope I get to ride one, some day.

It would be so cool to race that in a modern MX and wear old school Adolph Weil kit !!!

It's 36:1 mix of gas and Maxima 927
Not as nice as the spider but still fire 🔥 bike
Kicks like a Harley Davidson flathead with 14:1 compression ratio. They didn't offer electric start. Men were men and sheep were....

1982 and on were single shock
Mono shock to be correct.
