i just notice something, carno can juke and bait attack without losing stam. BALANCED. It can stop, slide and go back to running so fast that teno tail slam can be avoided, that's insane.

This was an interesting take on Teno vs Carno combat. I main teno and I’ve killed a lot of carnos. But so far I’ve only ever encountered 2 that have given me a run for my money. Granted I don’t play teno the same way you did in this guide, but why should I explain my tactics? They’ve worked so far ;)
This video is awesome! I wish more creators made guides like this. The only unfortunate part is a lot of the stats have been changed for both species, so this will need to be looked at again for update 3. It is important to note however that we are still trying to keep these two matched up fairly well in the next update, with the Tenontosaurus being at the higher end of "tier 2" and Carno at the bottom of "tier 3".
Thanks Hypno! I’ve also always wondered why more people didn’t make guides like this as well. I’m just really glad people are getting value out of it. I’m excited to visit the match-up again in update 3 and see the differences. It’s definitely one of my favorites. Another reason why I like making these videos is that there is often a large portion of the community that thinks one character is underpowered or overpowered compared to another. I love reinforcing the fact that this game is skilled based, and if you are better than your opponent you will win! I’ve had to do this with Tenonto and Utah for ages now!
It is actually possible to 1v2 carnos as teno. You need to be really accurate with your tail slams and not get baited once. Really hard but possible, ive done it.
Great stuff for anyone trying to learn Teno/carno and understand the mechanics! Unfortunately a bit outdated due to last patch and bugs. Kick and slam do not do the same damage. You can hit carnos head with a kick, but not with tail slam as of now(Bug). Slam into neck causes 30% of carno hp, body is around 20%. Kick to body also causes around 10-15% hp only. Teno can also no longer slam below 20% Stam, we lose stamina and no attack happens. the same at 10% with kick. Love to see herbi vids, we aren't the prey, we are the hunters!

( Stego vs Carno for example) Do hit reactions preventing from attacking? What I mean is, during this short time when hit reaction is played can you interrupt that animation and attack instead? Or you are just in some form of cooldown and you are unable to bite/hit back? Thanks!
It depends on the attack. There’s only 3 attacks that can stun at the moment. Tenonto kick and tail slam, and carno charge. Well and things small enough to be pinned down by pounce. Those will keep you from using your own attacks. Being hit by any other attacks such as a normal bite will not keep you from attacking whatsoever. Well unless that attack happens to kill you 🤭

Better timing and better positioning and stamina management should be the key to win the fight. Not faster fingers :).
I agree that’s how fighting should be in evrima. Reactions to biting though or micro stuns I don’t think are the answer. Being perma stunned out doing anything would be a terrible feel lol.
I wonder how a more realistic fight would look like. What I mean is instead of a deathmatch, it's more like carnos only attack to get food and killing one Teno would satisfy them. But the Tenos are trying to drive off or discourage the carnos from attacking. And with not everyone on one side being killed. Also with the players disengaging from fights and trying to live to fight for another day, and not just fighting to the death. Does that make sense?
No it does not. It’s only taking into account using those abilities consecutively. Also the numbers are different now. You have about 20 kicks worth of stam and only 10 worth of tail slams. You’ll regen the stamina if you’re patient with them!
What I do sometimes is go to a body of water that makes you tip down wards and so when a carni tries to hit the tail your tail has a very unexpected hit radius so youcan hit the carno then I use the claws as tento claw attack can be spammed if it makes contact
How are you not getting any/many desync issues? When i play on an EU server as i should, everything teleports and rubberbands around... With 200mb internet this should not be possible.

I don't think the tail slam should be 100% stum, I think should be 50%, I always find myself get hit by the tail slam,I get stuck because of the stum then trying to get away, got hit again, and trying to get away again, way and got stuck in the body colision sistem, and got slam again and Dead.
That’s the point I think. If it didnt stun it would throw the balance way off and it would be super easy. Carnos would just dominate no matter what lol
@@MrDCSaunders Not really, I mean teno right now is way stronger than the carno, the fighting chance is really underpowered for the carno here, being 50% would mean that tenos players wouldnt be able to just spam their tail and just kill a carno so easy, right now is almost 65% chance to a teno destroy a carno, with little effort, while the carno on the other hand has 35%, and he need to dodge like every atack to not be imobilized. Ok if they aint removing the tail slam maybe just reduce the stum time.
I’d say it’s reverse. 60/40 to the carno. It’s good the way it is. Skill and timing based. The person who plays better wins. You also have to think about that the Teno doesn’t have a choice if it fights or not. It’s good that it can defend itself with skill shots. If the Carno is numbskull enough to facetank the rear and take those hits to the face it deserves to lose.
In a solo situation? I mean it’s possible but not recommended lol. Biting the legs doesn’t do much and a solo pounce isn’t going to bleed it out enough for you to get an advantage. As far as escaping utahs turn radius will easily juke carno if you’re timing it right. You’ll also outstam a carno.
In the current live version turn your camera to the rear and right mouse button. Check out the Update 2 guide I made it goes over teno controls. In update 3 tail slam will be controlled by holding alt then right mouse button (so yes in the stress test as well)
This is so useful cuz I wanna play as Tenato and Carno alot. Ive made it to Adult teno 3 times already and justed learned the Tail slam. But now I just have to find a server where people play as Teno😭😂
In the current game state, I feel like this match up is very balanced. The teno should win 1v1s more on average, I’m a decent player and I play both tenos and canros. From my experience in the current game state, teno is a fair bit stronger and wins more 1v1s on average, that’s how it should be imo. The isle as a whole is very balanced atm, they need to fix Carnos acceleration and make stegos actually killable, but apart from that, the game is in a great state.
Carnotaurus will need a new method of fighting since it won't be able to juke. Eventually it's planned to have horrible turns and will actually fall over if it turns too fast.
This info is either wrong or outdated, want to do an update? I hit a teno about 20 times in the head as adult carno and it still killed me after hitting me 2 times with its tail. and about 3 times with claws
Mostly! The fight hasn’t changed all that much. Damages may have changed. Oh, kick uses a lot leas stamina now but tail slam is still only 10 kicks. Same general principles though. Oh and Carno can bite while it’s stunned right now so care for that lol.

so basically if the teno all attack you and start kicking its impossible to kill them.
Who has the advantage in this fight? I feel like I’m at a disadvantage in a 1v1 with their attacks doing more damage.

This testing was done on my private server. The desync gets more prevalent with 30 or more people on. It’s not your internet trust me, it’s the build.

I agree, I always feel like I’m at a huge disadvantage fighting herbivores. They all have really strong attacks that cancel out carnivore attacks.
