They shouldn't have locked the top floor in these elevators since that floor is accessible through the main elevators. Really weird.

They don't want people to use these lifts to go up to the top floors - even Tower 1's set of 3 lifts have the top floor locked for this reason

Tower 3 has express lifts that go to floor 1, 56, 57 with no card required since security is at the entrance to them

The refurb actually looks worse than the original design. And it's not even 15 years.

I HATE this refurb, the long LCDs and stupid Everbright buttons are terrible!

I feel like the Everbright buttons don't look out of place here, and the long LCDs is nicely set up where the floor number is true position whereas originally it goes faster than the lift itself.
