You're right, it may not be a great work truck but it makes for a good hotrod. It looks so clean the way they made it like they did.
It's working day are over...lol
I had a unibody back in 1976 in highschool, 292 with the 3 speed ford-o-matic. Total work horse, camping, hunting, around the city. Put lots of miles on it over 3 years. Loved everything about it, the way it handled, drove, horsepower, torque, thing went anywhere and never got stuck. When bought it, it was worth nothing at the time and it was 100% original, red in color. I replaced the starter, that's it. You have a beautiful truck there, brings back memories. ..
+alpha java Glad you enjoyed it...It'a not mine...I just shoot the videos!
I inherited one from my Dad who inherited it from his Dad. I kept it from '75 to early 80's. Was a workhorse and not a gem like this one. Beautiful work and I love this color. I wish I still had mine. Good job and congrats.
Glad You liked it...Thanks for checking this one out here!!
My dad bought a new 1961 Ford unibody F-100. It was a farm truck. You were exactly right about the issue with the doors. By 1963 Ford starting putting the bed from the 1957 to 1960 models to separate the body and cab. My dad traded for a new F-100 in early 1964. That pickup had a new updated bed. Back then Ford had two trims. Base with white painted grill an Custom Cab with chrome trim. The Uplevel Ranger trim came along in 1966.
Cool...Thanks for checking this one out here!!
Those15's are absolutely right on this F100, big diameter low profiles look great but this truck looks like it should
I hear ya...I would go big....but this is the correct look for this truck....
I've had my 63 uni for 29 yrs, mine was a farm truck, the rear axle had a 2'' bow in it from all the over-loads. These early 60s f-100s got no respect for decades. The steel in the box is thicker than the rest of the truck... with sway bars they handle like a car. I like how the side body line on that 62 is level because of the rake, very cool! I like the simplicity of the old pickups, easy to fix. Modern pickups are turning into land barges! thanks for sharing this one.
SnakePliscan2 My pleasure....Glad you enjoyed it!
That is one beautiful machine.
I agree...awesome!!
I told you it was a great truck when I sent you pics of it ! Guys at Jrs did a great job on it and thank goodness Ray wouldnt even entertain the idea of putting an xbrand motor in it! Congrats to Ray and Kathy on the award this pass weekend! And as usual Great job Scottie on the video!
Some of my favorite looking trucks. Absolutely awesome. Sounds very nice
Glad you enjoyed it!!
+ScottieDTV Bee you tiful truck nice blue awesome interior and love the 351 Cleveland kudos to you
M Cass V
Thanks so much for putting 15" wheels on it!! The large diameter wheels look like ass on an old vehicle. They don't match the proportions of the older body designs.
What a beautiful ride!
I love everything about it!
Me to!!
This truck was ruined by this owner.
WOW! you took the words out of my mouth Scottie.. NAILED IT!!!!
lol..glad you liked it!
Just a good old truck , I’ve had a set of 60/70’s 15x7-8’s s/s cragars I’ve used on different vehicles for the last 40 years , and right now on my 62 f-100 stepside , they NEVER disappoint !
Right on...
Nice truck! The paint jumps out at you, it really caught my eye, I see it caught yours too! The style of old and new is interesting on this truck. Man, hit after hit!! Great taste in this build, and kudos to the painter!
karl jacobson No doubt....a rare piece done right.....glad you liked it Brother!!

+Ary M Glad you enjoyed it!
Damn that's a cool ride.
For sure!!
Beautiful Truck Sir
Glad you liked it!!
BEAUTIFUL.
I want to build something similar. I have 63 4x4 and it has a factory hi boy setup which is super rare. Heck 4x4s in those years were rare but the hi boy is almost non existent. Anyway I am building my 69 GTO right now then selling it and will move to my truck next (not selling as its been in the family since it was new) but after those two I would love to do one of these as a street truck in real similar fashion to this. I think these early 60's fords are greatly over looked.
Really nicely done. congrats on the great truck.
side note
I will be doing some videos for the first time on youtube as I redo my GTO then move to the others. Just proof of what I got. I let so many cool cars go through my hands with no pictures or video I think sometimes people think I'm making stuff up lol.
lol..I hear ya...the nice thing about what I do...is I tell people watch the video..lol...glad you enjoyed this one...good luck with your projects...
Beautiful Ford!
I thought so....glad you agreed!!
Damn that paint job is wet! Sharp truck!
No doubt...very nice!!
That's really sharp.
I hear ya...very cool truck!
Scottie, you car is nice, nice Mustang!
Thank you Brother...
Very good scotti the pick up saludos desde corrientes Argentina
Thank You...Glad You liked it!
i had one...color almost exact...mine was a beater...cousins put in a tranny for my dad before i got it. cobbled it. gear pattern was completely backwards... no one would steal it ... granny gears...almost as good as 4x4. no wipers...tied kite string in circle from wipers into the truck and pulled one way to pull them on and the other way to pull them to start position. wish i had had the $$$ to make it look like this one.
lol..Sounds like a fun truck to drive....
@@ScottieDTV was tricky...didnt try to drive while drinking

I would have like a wider bigger Ford on the gate . Same wheels and gate I planned for my 61uni .

I wonder if anyone has put a 50's ford grill in those early 60's models. to me more solid then those thin flimsy aluminum grills.
