    I’m moving to the Penryn campus next week and have a room at glasney, I can’t wait to impress my fellow house mates with that neat window trick. Thanks for an awesome video 🤙🏼

    This was amazing, way better than the student ambassadors on the open day! Loved the smokey grey effect when you went into the kitchen! Awesome, I hope I can move in one day :)

    This was such a good video, really funny! I didn't live at Glasney for first year so it's fun to see it properly and not just at flat parties ahaha

      I've got a couple planned, but if you have anything you'd like to see then definitely let me know! This kind of content definitely lends itself to audience suggestions, rather than me trying to think what people might want to see ^^

      +Kepple Marsh mabye you should do one of campus and the town around it, or how the first few weeks were and stuff, I don't know what to expect when I first go there

      Sounds good, I've got vague ideas of doing a Penryn or Falmouth tour, so I'll factor it into my plans . Thanks! ^^

    You need to do these videos for estate agents. Fucking brilliant :)

    The phones have now been taken away, it was a weird experience 😂 the toilets can leak and the bathroom gets very damp 😂 but the room is amazing for student accommodation. Also I wish I’d watched this before going to Glansey because the window tip would’ve helped me when I couldn’t for a month 😅

      Haha only the kool kidz know the window trick

    Talking about your bathroom extract fan above your bathroom door there is a big wide switch if you turn that off your extracta fan won't go on and it will not disturb you.
    Let me know if it works.

    What do you think to the shared rooms? I've got a shared study bed at glasney rather than a bunk bed so probably a little different to in your flat. Dreading sharing a room though!

    • @Kepplemarsh
      @Kepplemarsh  8 лет назад

      Ah yeah, I saw the study beds on my open day, they're weird but pretty nifty! The shared rooms are literally the same, except... with someone else living there :D I know plenty of people who get on just fine with it for a year, so I'm sure it will work out great

    Do you hear much from your neighbours? Thick walls?

    • @Kepplemarsh
      @Kepplemarsh  8 лет назад +1

      Walls are great yeah, although upstairs/downstairs noise definitely carries more. It's not too bad though, unless they're having a wild party or something

    Impressed that you succeeded in making a room tour video witty, just wondering if you are actually allowed to watch the TV without buying a license and what the dealio is with that etc??

    • @Kepplemarsh
      @Kepplemarsh  8 лет назад +1

      Thanks! You're allowed to watch the TV in the kitchen, the uni must get some special contract or something. I think streaming live TV from a bedroom is technically illegal? *cough* but who's gonna know *cough*

    • @webydevy
      @webydevy 8 лет назад

      I think the TV in the kitchen has a TV license.

      No I'm not a student yet, I'll be starting a ba in fish and chip related studies! I know the mayor of Falmouth and he told me about the TV licences in the kitchens! Glad I could of service

    Hiya! I’m hoping to go to Falmouth university this year and stay at the glasney accommodation but I would be studying at the Falmouth campus... do many Falmouth students stay at the Glasney accommodation or is it mainly students from the penrynn campus?

    • @Kepplemarsh
      @Kepplemarsh  5 лет назад

      It's a mix of students, if you lived on Glasney you'd just have to get the bus when you needed to get to the other campus

  • @ryansparrow6676
    @ryansparrow6676 8 лет назад

    is it possible to stay in the accommodation past the first year? I'm a huge fan of yours and i'm coming down to falmouth university from 2017 and trying to sort my accommodation and shit out xD :)

    • @Kepplemarsh
      @Kepplemarsh  8 лет назад

      Honoured that you're a fan! :D I'm afraid it's basically only first years who get to live on campus, although I think people with disabilities can apply to stay on at the Sidings (uni accommodation like 10 minutes away from campus).

    • @ryansparrow6676
      @ryansparrow6676 8 лет назад

      +Kepple Marsh thank you! Are the prices for accommodation off campus similar to the ones on campus? Sorry for all the questions 😂

    • @Kepplemarsh
      @Kepplemarsh  8 лет назад

      The accommodation that the uni provides (the Sidings is uni-owned and about 10 mins from campus) is very similarly priced as far as I know - otherwise, with private accommodation it's obviously completely varied. And no worries, it's good to know this stuff! :)

    How is Falmouth for international students? like is there any racism and all? Before applying there, people are making us be afraid of it.

    • @Kepplemarsh
      @Kepplemarsh  6 лет назад +2

      As far as I'm aware the university itself is great at dealing with international students. Obviously I can't promise you won't encounter any issues with individuals, and I appreciate that as a white British guy I might not have the most helpful perspective on the prominence of racism, but on the whole my impression is that there isn't a huge culture of bigotry in Falmouth or anything.
      Out of interest, where did you hear that racism might be a problem at Falmouth?

    • @shivammevada4884
      @shivammevada4884 6 лет назад +1

      I heard the issue is in the UK, but I did not believe it because I have taken many English classes from British people on lingoda.com, they treated me very well and had a great experience. Another worth thing to mention is in the UK, International citizens don't get a job easily, employers prefer the white man, there are fewer chances for brown skin people, I saw it in some youtube videos. I just wanted to confirm if there are problems before jumping into the institute, it can be the biggest conflict of life. By the way, thank you, I will be applying for BA in film, batch 2019 September. :)
