I enjoyed your candid answers and appreciate you taking the time out to inform those of us who may be second guessing ourselves or need that additional motivation To get started! I was wondering if you would recommend a new grad of a pmhnp program with over 10 years psych nursing experience start a private practice! Like you mentioned in your video I hate the idea of having to see 20 pts a day being rushed to fill a quota and being expected to prescribe controlled substances to pts who you don’t necessarily see as fit to continue prescribing to. Would you encourage still starting a practice straight out of school or just toughing it out working for someone and slowly progress into starting a clinical practice?
