Not gonna lie. When I found Nine Lashes the song that caught my attention was "The Anthem of the Lonely". I suffer from depression periodically, but as I listened to more and more of their songs. I was surprised by the uplifting nature of it. And honestly fell in love with the music.
Everyone needs to remember that one of the purposes of Nine Lashes, and trust me I've been with them since the beginning, was to reach lost people through music, and a lot of lost people think Christian music is all boring. I think this new dance type music is going to reach a different audience of people that need Jesus.
I don't really belive in God but I still fuck with nine lashes x,D
Their songs didn't convert me, still don't believe in any religious faith, I put all my faith in humanity, none left over for gods nor demons, but I do like a lot of their songs, I just see a different message in the verses than a believer would.
Such a beautiful song. Love it.

Honestly this is exactly what happened with set it off they made more rock stuff then their album upside down turned them into a pop band then they went back to an alternative sound with their album midnight and I love it I hope they go back to more heavier stuff in the new album like with breaking out but if not it’s fine I do still like this style of music just not as much I’m just coming back to revisit the album 3 years later 😂

I'm curious as to where the start of this song originated. The tune is identical to part of Gaia - Saint Vitus but that song was released a year after this.
For anyone confused why their lyrics aren't to your tastes is because they're talking about God in most of their songs which isn't wrong but when you're talking about God mostly you have to be positive, well if you're Christian that is.
That is not true. Not every song for prasing/to god is a happy. For example, the bible even says if we know we are sinning to turns our happines to mourning and laughter to tears.
Voiden Irritus i mean they're Christian lyrics in their somewhat in all the songs the whole album might be talking about God or something Christian because here's a main example. In eyes on you he says eyes on you Jesus. Heartbeat is talking about how everyone is the same and how nobody is different.see what I'm saying not every song is Christian but it has Christian morals in it
Kiba Inuzuka morals don't come from the bible they are basic human nature the bible is the worst place to get your morals from considering it condones slavery and rape
look up some oh sleeper.. they're Christian and they are not always happy lyrics. just like with all Christian metalcore/deathcore
