Hi Aaron, The attractor example is not what you want, except to get the method for making the openings. The logic of your script should be similar to the louver example. : 1. get a point at the center of each perf 2. calculate the vector angle between that point and your sun ray 3. convert that angle number to some percentage of perforation and adjust the size, per the attractor method.
I have a quick question for you Nick. I've written a definition for a building I'm working on in TianJin out here in China. The building has a figure eight form and I've used graph mappers and range and series sets to define a sequence of perforations that shrink in both along the U and V rows. I would now like to add an attractor point reflecting a sun rays intersection on the facade to increase or decrease the perf aperture in that area.
Hi I've very new to this, and I love your tutorial, you are very clear and I'm able to follow precisely and have everything work except for the Subtraction for reversal part. When I input 1 for A, nothing changes. Could you help? Thanks!
Hello, Dont know if you can help me but I'm trying to establish fixed values for the radius generated by the attractor point ... for example, I would like that the circles varied in 10 different radius, between 1 and 10...Can you help me? ah, thanks for the video, helped me a lot and are very explanatory Natalia
Is there a way to have a graph mapper and one or multiple attractor points acting on one hand drawn shape (in this case a simple rhombus)? It doesn't seem to work. Thanks a lot! Aaron
Thanks for sharing.Hardly to find such a detailed video on the internet.Hope you can keep doing this.
I learn a lot of you're tutorials! Thank you very much.
