    I'd say you work alone, but you're always working with physics. A joy to watch you do what you do do.

    Hey Spencer, another great vid as usual. I'm in Nashville and today was a rain-out.
    Don't keep your nylon slings clipped to the back of your trailer. UV will degrade them quite a bit if you're not careful.

    • @metaspencer
      @metaspencer  3 года назад

      Oh you're so right! I make the slings and end up using them for all kinds of things and definitely notice that the ones that are left out get all crusty. I'll have to round them up! Never been to Nashville but sounds like a cool place

    How did you come up with the name metaspencer

    • @metaspencer
      @metaspencer  3 года назад +1

      Well let's see ... it was the late '90s and the internet was new and the whole thing of choosing email names and online handles was fresh. I had been reading a bunch of meta-fiction at the time, so thought meta+spencer would make sense. It was just a quick choice and somehow it stuck through all these years. :)

    I wish I had ur temperament to life and ur balls of steal where heights is concerned. I am fine on single story roofs with a low pitch any more then 2 stories on a ladder or cherry picker swinging in the wind is an issue, i use to work up 3 stories on a ladder for 3 to 6hrs stints replacing telephone junction boxes and was comfy doing that but i was alot younger back then. Also dam ur good with that string catapult in thru the tree branches to get ur rope up there. BTW ur audio in the truck sux balls due to the muffler noise maybe the low tone seems to vibrate the mic in ur camera, but when ur out of it the audio is real good and understandable. Cheers from downunder.

    Watching your tree stuff is a double-edged sword. I got inspired today to go take care of two white willow limbs that hang over our pool and drop leaves any time the sun comes out. First one was 20' up. Made the cut no problem, left-handed, with my trusty rusty Corona. Except the cut end took off upwards. Fulcrumed itself right on top of the cypress trees along our privacy fence.
    Me: Dhaaaow, bummer!
    MoS (the meta of Spencer): There it is, just eight feet away.
    Me: What do I do?
    MoS: Keep climbing.
    Me: Yeah but I'm out of ladder.
    MoS: There's still the muscadine vine right there.
    Me: Dude, that doesn't actually sound like Spencer.
    MoS: Oh alright, go get your pole saw and drag it back down.
    Me: Sweet! Getting stuff done!

    I transplanted a 12 foot high lilac bush today. I broke a Craftsman shovel that was brand new. I didn't know I had that much muscle left in this old body but I preserved.
    I also bought a 603E sunjoe electric wood chipper since all the tree diseases means no free wood chips anymore so I started making my own. This should be an adventure.....
    I also electrocuted a mouse. Got one in from the concussion grenades when the police station was being attacked. So its been living in my basement since them. The device was a Rat Trapper and takes 4 AA batteries. I bought it at a garage sale. The only problem is the smell because they lose their bowels and bladdder. Tommorrow I clean and I bought a product for that, too. I bought a Kaloric UVC light that also produces ozone. I am really worn out todnight and my back is getting stiffer.

      @metaspencer  3 года назад +1

      Interesting stuff buddy! I have a lilac bush in the wrong spot and didn't think of transplanting -- maybe I'll give that a go this weekend. Would be nice to move it. Good luck with that chipper!
