SBGM221 is my daily office watch that's not too flashy and great when tracking more than one time zone. The dial is like buttercream. And the light reflects beautifully across the zaratsu polished case, sword-like hands, and three-dimensional indices. It's a subtle stunner. The only downside is no loom, which is pretty much every GS.
Glad to get the mention and full concurrence on my vote for the Pelagos FXD GMT! Loved the coverage on it (and all the other watches too)! Keep up the great work man!
Disagree on the GS GMT. That’s one of my favourite GS’s. The cream dial is luscious, the finish is beautiful and the blue hand is BLUE not green/blue…..maybe, no insult intended but maybe that’s why it doesn’t work for you?
Missed my chance, but I would have suggested the Frederique Constant Highlife Worldtimer. I feel like they get overlooked a lot, but offer so much in a very stylish package!
Breitling Chronomat Automatic GMT40mm is also a great choice under 5k£ , also Christopher Ward C1 Bel Canto Classic, Omega Seamaster Railmaster, Tudor Black Bay Chrono Limited Edition Pink Dial 41mm

Sinn, Hanhart, Stowa, Tutima, and LACO, refuse to ‘pay to play’ the watch influencer game. They don’t have the Rolex, Swatch Group or Richmond marketing budgets or brand recognition. The larger ADs that loan watches, loan the brands they sell in volume. The German brands simply get lost in the shuffle. They only get coverage by lesser influencers or brand fans. Take the Hanhart Preventor HD12. It is far and away a better watch than the Murph, yet all of RUclips reviews the Murph, like it’s the second coming of time traveling, watch Jesus.
Anyone paying $4,000 for a *quartz* movement in a watch in this Day and Age, deserves to get cheated out of thousands of dollars of their money. No, the word "Cartier" on the dial doesn't magically offset the cost. I own a Cartier pen. Love it! Didn't cost me thousands upon thousands of dollars. And no, it doesn't look like at cheap plastic Bic pen with the Cartier name in place of Bic on the pen barrel. Cartier wants how much for a regular quartz movement? Even actual Watch snobs would laugh hysterically (in private) at anyone foolish enough to spend THAT much on THAT variation of the Tank. For that much, try to get a 2nd Hand JLC Reverso (one of the more basic mechanical variations). Or, get the Baume & Mercier model that comes closest to looking like the Tank, with a mechanical movement inside, and save an impressive chunk of money.
The Seamaster 300 was my dream watch. Stopped by the new Omega store yesterday in Austin...it's not great. Too big, uncomfortable, heavy, too long, clunky. It's beautiful in pictures but in real life, it's a bummer. I tried on the NTTD which helps a bit being in titanium, but even still, it's a no go.
My first watch was the tudor black bay monochrome 5 link bracelt bought back in may i loved it up untill sept then tudor dropped the blue chrono i now own that and im surprised no one has mentioned that maybe because its a botique edition the monochrome gets little too no wrist time anymore.
Yes it is. Everyone knows size medium is the perfect shirt size. Larger sizes shouldn't even be made. Should also all be long sleeve, short sleeves are so tacky.

Ita amazing how much influence social media have on marketing. The popularity of Tudor online is largely driven by the demographic of social media users. In the real world, Tudor is really just a stepping stone to Rolex and other luxury brands. Most of Tudor customers are in their 20s or 30s who just started this hobby, with reasonable disposable income and often is their first luxury purchase.
I own more premium watches and have to say I think the BB monochrome looks stunning. I'd buy it, and while it would probably not shift my IWC 2000 titanium as my everyday wear, it would still be a nice one to own. But maybe I'd not love it so much if it wasn't raved about all the time. Who knows 😂 love the Longines 38 also and the old Aqua Terra from Omega. So many bloody watches to buy!
I don't see the issue with a mass produced ETA/Sellita movement if it's top spec it's usually much better than most in house movements and a lot cheaper to service. Please stop apologising for being dyslexic I suffer from dyslexia and if people have an issue with it then it's their problem.
As an alternative to all Tudor watches (which are great), how about Baume & Mercier Riviera - cosc movement, 120h of power reserve, comes in 39 and 42mm. My pick would be 10702🫡
In my opinion, Omega Seamaster isn't the best for everyday use. I like Longines Zulu Time; but, if you don't like vintage watches and you're sick and tired of divers like Tudor Black Bay, you might prefer Longines Conquest Chronograph

Nothing against Tudor BTW, I love mechanical watches, but this obsession with COS and METAS feels more of a talking point for RUclipsrs, a rational reason to choose in a completely emotional category.
In 1960, in today's prices, a Rolex was $1300. Today's men spending 5k on a watch are not men, they are like women who buy Hermes handbags. Quite sad. And why most Americans are broke.
