I've had this idea in my head for a long time now and since both shows have reached their end I decided to finally put this together.
These two relationships own my heart and the fact that neither of them got what they deserved at the end breaks it half. They are so many parallels and similarities in them that even though this edit is long, I know I still haven't got most of them.
My two ships - the one that started it all and the one that could have ended it. Our mother-ship #swanqueen and daughter-ship #supercorp

It's more a representation of light and dark coming together. The dark queen and evil Luthor falling for the savior and hero.
Certain shows: no matter how much the critics tout them going in, you can watch the pilot and think, "Yeah, this show isn't going to deliver for _me."_ That's how I felt about OUAT's pilot, and skipped that show. [Then I saw the SwanQueen fans suffering w/ it for years, and thought, "Whew! Glad I spared myself _that."_ ]
But I watched _Supergirl,_ fully committed from S1 Ep1, and by the time _Supercorp_ came along, I didn't really have a choice, did I? But I was a "Supercorp Realist" (it almost certainly will never be canon) up through 5x19. But during that long, long pandemic hiatus, and then the news that S6 would be the last? I fully drank the Kool-Aid. *"Supercorp HAS to be Endgame,* doesn't it?" After 4 years, and the last one a full-blown broken-hearted Rift, brought to reconciliation? And then a full season of "Every Time Lena Looks at Kara, She Seems JUST ABOUT To Say 'I Love You'"?
Yeah, there was always some small rational part of me that still thought "it almost certainly will never be canon". But that part of was overwhelmed by 6x1 "You're the only person in the galaxy", 6x4 "I have to bring Kara back!", 6x8 (Kara. Leaned. In.), 6x13 "I believe in you/the epitome of courageous", 6x14 (Lena's long stare deep into Kara's eyes), 6x13/6x14's dinners together, 6x15 "El Mayarah", 6x17 Kara waiting by the elevator w/ TWO glasses of champagne, and 6x18 Lena Shakes Her Moneymaker Almost Directly in Kara's Face. I was on the Endgame Clown Train 🤡 right up until the very MOMENT in 6x20 where Kara distinguishes "every relationship" from "every FRIENDship" (gesturing to Lena for the latter). 🤬🤬🤬 The CW baited me, reeled me in, then gutted me.🐟
I'm mostly past it, now (writing a fic helped HUGELY). I can appreciate what Supercorp we DID get, and the fact that everything about their story (all the visuals, all the lines, every last romantic drop of Katie and Melissa's performances) are OURS now.
But it doesn't make what the CW did right.
I know exactly how you feel because I feel the same about supercorp...a small part of me was telling me that no matter how much we want and how obvious it is that they should be together, CW was just too cowardly (or whatever else) to make that happen...but during s6, I was still hoping they would..
So much Parallels between these two couples 😍 woa love it !

It's pretty telling both relationships not only make the most sense from a narrative standpoint but them not ending up together would be inconceivable if they were straight.

You have murdered me. 😭😭😭 I'm dead. I can't even with this video. Two of my favorite ships. And the damn parallels. I can't even quote or numberize a favorite part cause the parallels just kept attacking from everywhere. Not gonna lie you had me in tears. The first five seconds i had to pause the video to compose myself cause Regina words of 'Love, True Love is Magic' and the supergirl dude saying 'Magic can't be forced' just ruined me. I knew then that this video would hit me. Thanks so much for this. I will come back to it over and over again. I wish they made more videos of Swanqueen & Supercorp together.

Wow Supercorp really did parallel Swan Queen and very few people believe that Supercorp is simply fan driven. There was something to that but the writers were not aloud to go there because of DC. For them to mimic so much of Swan Queen though means that the even the Supergirl writers thought they were being written as a couple, despite what OUAT show runners want to say. If one of the most LBGTQ shows is copying your writing for their same sex couple, pretty sure that means your platonic friends isn't so platonic lol
These are two beautiful relationships that never came true for us but we all know there are perfect for each other and the fans of these ships will keep the fire burning for them.

the whole plot is that emma/kara made better person to regina/lena but the true is that... regina and lena were who changed emma and kara's lifes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and made them G A Y (even if looks like stupid blondes are always hete ros) not these two!
