The struggle is real when the waist is so tight, but it fits everywhere else. I found some amazing linen petite pants at J Jill. They are a little pricey but worth every penny. Super high quality. J Jill has petite clothes down. Comfortable fits, and the sizing always works for me. They are my favorite place for petite clothing, hands down.
@@LoriLundquistone more thing I wanted to say is that I love that the JJill store by me actually has a big petite section in store to try on. Most places you can only buy petites from their online store. I love that JJill actually has a nice selection in their store by me. 😊
@@danielled5883 Also great to know! Next time I’m in Raleigh I will check out the store in the mall. That’s rare these days that the brick and mortar stores have a good selection of petites.
Ilove J Jill jeans. They are so soft and the deep cuff ones are so cute on. This year I bought the demi bootcut that fit amazing and white cropped jeans. I think you can't go wrong with this brand.
Cotton can be too hot on me in summer, so I wear linen a lot, which never is. I iron my linen clothes nicely, then forget about the creasing while wearing them. Linen, and other natural fibers, forever!
Lori: Reformation clothes are really nice but run small. I normally wear a S or M petite but am between a M & L on their size chart. I found the M in the Ref stretch ribbed tank I bought to be really tight and will buy L in future. The only other brand I wear a L in is Spanx pants. 😊
I like both of these brands a lot, partly because they carry silk items, which I love. Boden dresses tend to be too low-cut for me, even in petites, so I have to add a few stitches or a decorative button. I didn’t know Reformation offered free alterations! Lily Silk, another brand I like, offers free custom-sizing, but not in its silk jersey items.
Thank you for a great informative video on sustainable petite brands. Would you mind sharing your measurements for a better idea of fit and sizing on your try-ons. I appreciate your time.
Hi! Yes of course! I will share here and will also share in the video description. I’m 5ft tall. Pant size 6P. Shirts normally Small to Medium. 34D bra size. I will check my hip and waist measurements and let you know
Please give us promised link to sustainable clothes on petite sizes. I have an hourglass figure, and always bought CLASSIC CLOTHES, but at a busty 4'11" and 160#, it's hard to find anything. Amazon ignores me when I ask for PETITE.😢
I constantly have that problem with trousers, the waists are tight, but the hips, bottom and thighs enormous. That’s one reason I prefer skirts and dresses, they only have to fit the waist properly, I’ve never yet tried a garment that is too tight for my skinny hips and I’m 63. With most skirts and dresses, I remove the hip/thigh curve and re-stitch with a straight seam.
Shipping clothing back and forth makes me question how we can have an influence our impact on the planet. IMO, the only way we can have real sustainability, we need to cut down tremendously on our buying habits period. We should only buy products made domestically out of textiles woven out of US grown and milled fibres. My opinion.
Too many shirts! What about some dresses? I don’t wear a dress often because I’m a senior and I’m retired but sometimes I need a dress and I’m just tired of pants and shirts. That’s all I see.

I am loving linen this summer!
Great video and useful, thank you. I have never tried Boden, but they are now on my radar if I actually need something new.
Hey Alex! Thank you! ♥️

They sure do especially their pants. If I can figure out my size I’ll be happy lol

Oh that’s great to know about Lily Silk! Thanks for sharing! ♥️
I love the cashmere from Quince. Affordable!
Me too!! ❤️
I’ve found several beautiful petite items from Boden over the past few years
Good to know! I’m really enjoying the pieces I got and will definitely purchase again!

Love the pink dress and stripe shirt
Where can you fine tops that fit Most tops are to long. Like tees
Yes!
I agree. I have taken them to a tailor if I paid a lot for them.

Do you sew the alterations yourself? That’s something I would love to learn how to do
My only experience with Reformation was Trunk Club and I thought ran small too
The pants for sure! I have a follow on the pants next week
Yes.....wrinkles are a must or 150 degrees! LOL Great brands!
Lol right?! Great to hear from you!! ♥️
You looked amazing in those Boden dresses!
Thank you so much
W❤️W! That’s Lovely! 🌸🤗❤️✨
I like Quince, too, but it’s mostly dark, gloomy colors. Their silk slip skirts are one of the mainstays of my wardrobe, I have several colors.
Me too! I love those silk skirts!
I am a Dark Autumn on the seasonal color charts, so dark colors are my go to. I have the Quince slip silk dress in dark Aubergine. Love it. 😊
Turns out viscose is also called rayon.
How tall are you?
@@Trishagram 5ft
You were too kind about those Reformation linen pants. They were AWFUL. I'm sure they felt awful, too. 😢
They were terrible lol! Made for a teenager with no hips or waist.

Classic or not those horizontal stripes they make you look 10 pounds heavier
