F body’s C5’s and GMT800’s. Basically all the decent 90’s/00’s GM stuff is going up. Before 2020 they were all in the 1k-5k range and now they’ve gone from 5k-10k
I found an 86 Olds 442 back in 1996 for $4300. The previous owner actually put a 1970 Olds 350, .030" over forged flat tops , a set of hooker ceramic coated headers (still in the box) 200R4 slush box trans but the car had the same 8.5" GN 10 bolt with a 3.73. Very clean condition. Just needed the earlier #5 or 6 64 cc chamber heads/ holley 650, a turbo 350 trans/ 10" TCI and a right side upper A arm. Other than , it was a solid car only 10 years old. Nice paint, clean interior, electric sunroof. All G bodies now seem like they're taking off in price.
A vehicle i would add are 80-95 Ford Broncos. I remember seeing early 80s models when I graduated high school in 1997 for around $500 to $1,200. Now, Broncos in decent condition are going for upwards of $12,000.
love this channel every time you post I know that it will be best 10min from all RUclips stuff keep going thank you here in Russia we also got our own version of XJ - Lada Niva same story as you tell, word by word
3:47 Last year I found a 1991 blue fox body super clean with the V8 and manual transmission going for 8k. Not my cup of tea but I thought it was a steal.
Man, I bought my first XJ a 95 in 06 late in my Sophomore year in high-school from the guy at Napa for $ 1700. It had like 170k miles but the owner babied it and was kept in garage its whole life. It was clean! It was by far my favorite car I ever owned. I worked my butt off working almost 6 days a week at McDonald's for $5.15 an hr to pay for it the whole school year and summer. Owner was such a nice guy he held it for me until I could pay him the 700 I owed him. Taught me hard work and self discipline pays off. Loved that Jeep so much after it was totaled i bought 4 more. 3 of them being $1700 or under. I also found a 88 Foxbody GT Convertible for $1500 after I graduated. It ran but needed a ton of body work. That would be my second favorite. Nothing beats the sound of a V8 growling on a warm summer night. Id never find either of those today for under 4k (probably more like 6k for the foxbody) Its going to become extremely rare to find one stock. The Ford F series trucks from the early 90s will be another that will be difficult to find without rust issues. The SN95 94-95 Mustang 5.0 would be another.
haha, maybe my '79 base model mustang is now worth more than crusher scrap... It was pretty rough when I parked it in '99 and its not gotten any better. At that time, that 2.3L 4 cyl was sort of popular with dirt track racing in the area. Should have sold the car for parts then.
I got a 1997 240sx with a sr20det s14 swap for 7k when I was 21 🙌 I’m 30 and still have the 240sx and I call it the “hot boi car “ I got a 1998 c5 corvette since the prices on v8 are going to sky rocket in a few years lol
@@thetechlibrarian how did you blow it, I have a list of things in my head not to do to my car to keep it safe and obviously redblocks are different than whiteblocks ik that but how did u do that
GM pickups '73-87 '96-'01 GM pickups with the Vortec big block '90's Buick Roadmaster Estate wagons - whatever years you could get with the Corvette engine. 2006 GTO
Let’s throw the OBS Fords in there I got lucky buying mine for $1500 in December I remember you could buy one of these back in 2016 with under 100k miles for $1000 in great shape now they are fetching over 10k with low miles and in great shape it’s disgusting and drives me up a wall
I dont approve of the word "sh***tbox". Its too overused and thrown around. You mean to tell me that the only vehicles that aren't "s***tboxes" are Ferraris(and those are literally problematic)?????
Not to whine, but hey, you started talking about Porsche and you chose the 944 as the example, completely missing the 914 nearly VW Porsche, not that many people liked it....
I hate what happened to car prices, Im happy I managed to find myself a good speed6 a while back because I fear these will go up too. I would love to get an NB Miata, but not for 10k!
What else are you adding to the list? 👀
Soarer/SC300/SC400
Uhh the price going up? How is that possible when they are junk to start with?

I find the E39 540i is cheap.
As the owner of a G8 GT I bought 9 years ago, I love it lol. They go for about 5k more than I bought mine for back then.
88-98 chevys are going up now too
I remember maybe 15 years ago you could find Grand Nationals under 10k all day. Now clean ones push 50k.
20 years ago I could have bought a GNX with 14K miles on it for 15 grand ... oh i kick myself now 😂
@@Fred_NaughT I passed up a Grand National with 40k miles for $6k back in 09. Would have been a good investment. I couldn't imagine a GNX.

I STILL have both an XJ Cherokee and an NB Miata. I could make a profit selling either... but I ain't gonna. I'm keeping them both.
Remember the 90s were 24-33 years ago!!! Back in 1995 this would be like looking a 1965-1975 vehicles. Feel old yet? (I do!!)
I remember when 944 where a joke and you could get super clean ones for under 5k
924s as well.

Lol volvos used to be 500 bucks or so when my dad was buying them and now they are all 3 to 9k
I paid 900 for a 1991 turbo 760 and drive it for 25k miles without a single issue before I blew the motor but that was my own fault not the cars.

@@Dustrunnersauto the alternative option is the Sn95 mustang.

MazdaBody Mustang...

Had a chance to buy a bushel basket case Porsche 928 for $500... but already had too many vehicles...
Stick to cars not economics.
Relegations plus fiat/debt money system equal high prices.
I too had a Fox Body. Had I known what I could've gotten for my 50k mile example I would've absolutely kept it longer. Hindsight is 20/20 though
We called them MazdaBody Mustangs...
