this question goes into a very deep discussion on understanding God. people today try to simplify and place God in a Box. Even as a fallen angel satan works for God. read the book of Job. the heart is wicked who can know it. satan is the adversary against our souls. Gods way is to crush then sift out those who would serve and love him. the crushings come first and are the circumstances of walking in a fallin world, struggles, and tribulations. the sifting is our hearts reactions to said circumstances. One more thing God does is after sifting and finding those with good hearts he then washes them and cleans them and forgives the imperfections.
