Martin Short was flat out BRILLIANT in this episode. Played the role of a phony 'psychic' who turned out to be a sick, sadistic, evil guy who preyed on young women, & then on top of that, his wife was his accomplice. And that deep, dark, creepy voice that Martin Short revealed in the episode....wow. What an episode this one was.

Because subconsciously, you’re expecting the opposite from them based on prior associations. It’s a nice tactic; cast someone unserious in a very serious role and watch people’s skin crawl because it’s upsetting their internal perception that someone funny and familiar could never be a monster. It makes you so uncomfortable because subconsciously it’s raising a useful red flag.

He was born in 1950 and this episode came out in 2005, so he was 55.

hmm doesn't really seem to fit the wife's profile to show up at the precinct though? she was terrified of him going back to prison, she must know he's playing with fire by being there, yet she shows up and provides the answer for how he was responsible without having left...

Great episode, but I wish they had put Martin Shorts voice through some kind of filter when he did the initial phone call. His voice is far too recognizeable and gave away the twist.

Couples I think Henry and Carlene Palaver are similar to:
    The Joker and Harley Quinn
    Chucky and Tiffany
    Bonnie and Clyde
    Paul and Karla

This is one of those weird random episodes they do, when they don't have any "ripped from the headline" episodes they can create.

A filter and an audio scrubber...lol Also a detective being that aggressive would be tossed out on his ear. You can't grab people and yell at them for a confession. That would be inadmissible.
