Cheers for that Luey. I checked mine and they are still in good condition and being the Bose upgrade sound fine. Now quite glad I don't have to do the job.
Hi Luey. I have recently upgraded audio in my GT. Some tips: You don't actually need any extra plugs. Just remove the original plug by pulling on the wires and You will find regular metal connectors underneeth. Also the most important part of upgrading bose audio is upgrading the head unit. It does 80% of the improvement. Unless your speakers are torn like in your case... Pro tip: Since You have your door panels down, it's a good time to add some sound deadening. Cheers!
Totally worth it, sound quality is much better with the new speakers. Haven't had a chance to replace the rear ones yet but will do soon since its winter here soon. Only regret is that I have a cheap Clarion headunit, need to upgrade this to make the most of the new speakers
Hi, It seems you forgot to reinstall the filter capacitor in each tweeter. As you can see in you video, the old teweter (each tweeter) had a yellow electrolitic capacitor series (the component that looks as yellow cilinider). This works as a filter to avood bass frequencies to go for the tweter. Otherwyse the tweeters will be killed soon. Please replace the capacitors quickly...

Ahh thanks, did not realise that about the plugs, will have a look next time I am in there
How is the sound quality of the Pioneer speakers compared to the original speakers? Was it really worth your money? Did you replace the rear speakers?
