Thanks for so sweetly sharing this. I have been observing the Sabbath for about 12 years now. It isn’t easy living in a world that does not do this but, like you, I have been greatly blessed. Even my non-believing husband slows down on Sabbath now. The Lord is good😊
The Catholic church changed the Sabbath to Sunday. I've also read the church was changed to Sunday because Sunday was pagan...The 'suns' day to attract pagan worshippers. Some Christians also say since Jesus rose on Sunday morning, that's why Christians began church on Sunday or in early years of the church if Christians attended church on a Saturday, they would be accused of being Judiaisers. Basically, man changed it...for all kinds of reasons instead of holding to Scripture. I personally accept what God says about the Sabbath. I'm not 7th day Adventist, im just a believer who studies scripture. I'll continue to observe the Sabbath because God didnt say the Sabbath was just for the Jewish people. He said the sabbath was made for MAN. I agree with you Heidi.
I appreciate what you said about the new Bibles that are coming out. I'm huge on the King James and New King James Bibles. My Aunt has started reading a brand new Bible written in the last 5 years and I've noticed a huge difference, and a ton of discrepancies with the King James Bible. I've tried talking to her about it, but she refused to listen, so I'm just leaving it in God's Hands to open her eyes to the truth. Love everything else you said, too. Great talk!
Just a word of note, I was surprised when I learned some of the new changes I mentioned can be found even in the NKJV and unlike the KJV, it is copywrited, along with all newer Bibles.

We started seeking truth many years ago and the Sabbath was the first step, then came giving up man-made traditions of “holidays” and observing (to the best of our abilities as there is no earthly priesthood or temple) the Feast Days of our Heavenly Father! Gods timing is perfect. Just this past evening, I was having a conversation with a friend about following the scripture and not being misled by man. Whatever day we meet together and worship collectively as His Church, is not the same as the Sabbath day. This is The Lords Day - the day we celebrate His resurrection and has been traditionally the first day of the week - Sunday. There are Scriptures that speak to the first day of the week being the time the early Christians gathered together. - well before Constantine. I was raised in a Catholic family, but never felt the pull to the religion. Back in 2019, I attended a church, and was baptized as an adult. But it wasn't until 2021, that I was fully devoted to learning more, reading scripture daily and understanding the word of God. Thank you so much for this video today!
I grew up Baptist, but had so many questions that nobody was able to answer satisfactory for me. My journey then took me to Pentecostal churches and the same thing. When I started researching the Bible for answers instead of relying on teachers, a whole new understanding opened up. For me a day is from sunset to sunset as listed in Genesis, so we do Shabbat meal Friday evening and Sabbath lasts until sundown Saturday evening. One thing that is really impressed on me is to listen to teaching, pray and research it for yourself. Very good topic, I really enjoy hearing about your path in the faith. Many Blessings!!

If not in Bible I don’t trust it. Must be in context. I asked for truth and boy did I get it. God still has mysteries. God gave us the feast to follow and said do them forever. I don’t follow man or their traditions I follow the Bible. That’s my path GOD WILL deal with others on their path. Personal relation with our Father is the best.

i am a sabbath keeper and like you at first i struggled with how to do it all and in only 6 days and then it hit me Yahovah created everything and rested lol so if he could do it i could surely do my stuff . it has turned into a tremendous blessing in countless ways.

It is interesting also that he made this day holy before sin entered the world so I believe it will be observed in heaven as well. It has more purpose than just to rest from our weariness. Thank u for sharing your journey. I and my family have been on this journey as well. It is refreshing to see others are lead by His Spirit to walk in His commands. When I and my husband were lead to pursue Torah close to 20 years ago, he was working out of town a lot because our business (electrical) slowed down and we weren’t getting enough work. When my husband decided to remember the Sabbath to keep it holy according to the commandment, which meant him not going out of town because they were not willing to work him as much if he didn’t work on Sabbath, the business was blessed and he has had work backed up it seems since then. God has continued being faithful to us as we have obey what He has shown us about other commandments that we were taught were done away with but are not. His ways are a blessing not a burden. You have been an inspiration to go and read the bible myself and learn in prayer for God to help me understand his word. I started following you since 2016, and when you talked about why you no longer follow Christmas. A light bulb when on, and I thank you so much for that. I was raised to keep the Sabbath day Holy. As an adult, i worked in the medical field, which required me to work all days of the week. I took 1 out of 7 days to rest and recuperate. There are many jobs that require workers to work different days. However, it is vital to take one day to just rest, medically and spiritually. I very much enjoy your channel and the fact that you openly share your faith in God. Thank you for sharing your considerable knowledge with us. I have learned so much from your channel.

I’m so happy for you! I started this journey 30 years ago after reading a book by David and Karen Mains, “Keeping Sabbath Special”, which explores the Jewish Sabbath traditions and translates it over to the Christian observance of Sunday. Later I started thinking, “ Ok. We’ve got 2000 years and an East/West culture change. Might we have lost anything in the translation?” I discovered we had! Disconnecting from work on Saturday is like cutting the umbilical cord to the world. Over the decades I’ve learned so much and it’s so fun to see your enthusiasm as you begin this journey. There will be twists and turns and surprises. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that God can be trusted. He’s brought you on your particular path in your order for a reason. I tried finding this book to buy but I was unsuccessful, perhaps it’s out of print? I did find other books, by the woman, one of them about sabbath on Sunday, I don’t remember the exact wording but I had the impression it was encouraging Sunday sabbath. Basically we have to go to the Bible and figure it out.
@@BlessingsfromNorthIdaho yes! I think that’s the book! I couldn’t remember exactly because it’s 40 years ago. It did have Sunday in the title and it was a first step in recognizing sabbath at all. Later information came my way and I realized I needed to switch my observance to Saturday. Thanks for catching that!
So many conflate the religion of Christianity and the Bible with the actions of man, and so many conflate God Himself with the actions of man, as a false justification for their ill feelings about God's righteousness - all the while: *Psalms 118:8* _"It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man."_ *Psalms 146:3* _“Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.”_

You have my heartfelt thanks. I have been struggling with the Sabbath Day issue for years. I knew 7 th day of rest but couldn’t exercise honoring it due to societal practices. Part of my battle in these trying times was to find strength to stand firm on this issue (many others also). Thank you for posting this ❤
Hallelujah, The times are turning, and we are waking up to all the lies we've been fed. We started about 8 months ago to have a queit time, Christian music and prayer time starting about 8:00 pm each night. Then we started observing Sabbath. When Christmas garbage started showing up in the stores last August, we no more Christmas. And heaven forbid I get fired up on easter. We started looking at the Festivals of the Bible, found 8 days of Hanukkah. Biblical holy days are more fun and learning more from the Bible then 50 yrs setting in a pew, keeping it warm. Now the task is to gently move our 50 year old boys and their families off the pew and into really worshipping GOD. We have so much more meaning and have learned so much more about the Bible by observing the Sabbath. NEVER GOING BACK TO EGYPT.

Yes! You really DO notice the blessings when you observe Shabbat. It takes a bit to rearrange our schedules, but when it happens, you just breathe a sigh of contentment. It's not a salvation issue. I struggle with taking a rest too. I work outside the home 40+ and Saturday is my catch-up day. However I was using Sunday too, but have made an effort to keep that day for God and family.
I never saw nor do I see an issue with people meeting together on Sunday or any day of the week, that does not change the fact that Saturday is still the day of rest. For many who do church on Sunday, it IS work! Especially when you consider you have people taking and counting tithes and offerings, some people running sound equipment, others leading worship, and more

There are points of scripture on which we will disagree; until we search them sufficiently, however I would be remiss if I neglected to point to this scripture in particular as it is applicable regardless of the stance here: Romans 14:23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin. God watches over the faithful even when their faith is misplaced, because they are faithful. Faith is the underlying tenet of all Christianity. Faith and love: with these two mountains can be moved.
I've heard people say God just makes rules to prove he's the boss, so to speak. I always say every single 'rule' God gave us has a real, down to earth reason. Resting one day a week is a prime example. He knew we needed time not just to rest but slow down and ready ourselves for another work week. Some use it as only that. Some devote the whole day to worship. And some people like myself, use it for both.

Keeping the 7th day Sabbath is something on my mind yet I have yet to commit to it. Im coming to learn and believe, the Bible is not only God's Word on how to nourish our spiritual side, but also a practical guide for our physical health and well being. He already provided everything we would ever need through His creation. The rest time is needed for a mental and physical recharging. If you examine all of the forbidden foods it makes sense. Tgings like pigs and bear carry trichinosis. Most of the things forbidden are carrion or bottom feeders and can often be diseased or harmful to us based on their diet. Fasting is also a good practice, a mini detox you may call it. Yes God is good and I pray conatantly for discernment when I am listening to others expounding on the Bible. And yes, the Bible has been changed and not in a good way. Bit for those with discernment, you will know God's Word it was written on your heart.
Most of the animals God did not call food are cleaners of the air, land, and sea, thus loaded with toxins. Makes sense to just avoid them, even if one believes they have the freedom to eat them
Loved hearing your testimony Heidi! My husband and I (and children) have started keeping the Sabbath day since December 2022 and 2023 was a roller coaster of revelations! When we realized we were wrong on the sabbath it made us think what else are we wrong on? And this past year has been nothing but unlearning the lies and learning the truth of God’s word!
This is the path that I am on right now, so I know exactly what you mean. We have been shown, through the Bible, traditions of men that are looked at by the masses as scriptural, and to have clarity, by the grace of God, to see what we have been a part of, thinking it was biblical and now knowing it is not, is a very strange and a little terrifying, to be completely honest. Lots of prayer and seeking. May He be glorified.

My husband and I have tried to show family scriptures only from the bible and we have been called legalistic, hypocrites, used by Lucifer, and many more things all from showing scripture and following what is says? Make it make sense! People are so blind. And it just utterly breaks my heart. Another thing with salvation….a lot of people I know believe that you just have to believe in your heart and you will be saved. Well there’s a lot more to that, even Lucifer believes! People’s ignorance is unbelievable to me.

It's great that people can agree to disagree - we're all in different places in our journey, and what we disagree on today we may agree on in the future, as we move along in our faith walk. God doesn't care that we don't get everything right every time, He's cares that we're interested in doing our best to honor Him, and He will honor us for the attempt (even a poor one) every time! When we start understanding some of the Hebrew, it opens so much, the meanings of the words not in English, but from the Hebrew help us to have such a clearer, fuller understanding!
Hebrew for Old Testament and Greek for New. While generally speaking we should not need to learn the original language, because of how the meaning of scripture has been changed and we have been taught opposing messages, it is very helpful when trying to understand what the truth is

Sabbath keepers here too ! and it’s truly amazing how it has enriched our health and our walk with the Lord. We are to give reverence to the lord seven days a week but rest on Sabbath or Saturdays, I know a lot of people that rest seven days a week and they are called lazy. 😂
😂😂 I’m dying 😂😂 my husband and I brought keeping the Sabbath to his parents and they refused to accept what the scripture says and say that they rest everyday because Jesus is their Sabbath. I should have used that line!

Like you i have been curious and known about the 7th day sabbath, since i was a kid, although i didn't have a "church" that believed or taught anything about it... in the last few years When i found myself at home caring for my mom 7 days a week with out a sunday home church, I started doing my own studies and found RUclips teachers and online groups for fellowship that shared the same core beliefs as i had. I agree about how the scriptures seem to neatly unfold in a mindset that books of Moses are not only still relevant but the structure, the underpinning that pulls the rest of scripture together. old and new testament alike. Thank you so much for sharing your spiritual walk with us as well, we all can learn from each other, often we learn the most from those we disagree with... because we go back to those familiar scriptures with searching eyes. we may still disagree with them but we will find greater understanding either way.
The great thing is there is nothing that says we cannot worship God on any day of the week and we SHOULD worship daily! There is also nothing that says we can only meet on certain days of the week but resting is the one thing set aside for a specific day. :)

That is certainly NOT what it says. Can you quote where it says exactly to "not return to the Torah"? All verses that are used to make the argument that we are to abandon GOD'S laws are all used out of context without proper understanding. Some of the phrases are in reference to the man made laws and others are in reference to the law of sin and death, NOT God's laws. This becomes very clear when you read through the the Old Testament and read the verses in question within context also understanding that Paul kept the very commandments that many claim he is speaking against

Ok I don’t do Christmas. Took me 4 years of God prodding me to finally let it totally go. Little at a time. People tell me well that’s not what it means to me and I always say doesn’t matter what it means to you. What does it mean to God. Would your wife or husband be happy if you celebrate their birthday ion a former girlfriend or boyfriend? I give gifts at Hanukkah. I just let God lead me through his word. I guess I’m really Messanic but there again I know people who have gone hog wild about how everything is to be done and those things are NOT in the Bible. They are man made. Espeically when you learn about what the tithe was really about and to whom and where it was to be brought. So those who use the argument that you cannot keep the feasts because you cannot go to Jerusalem but then say we should pay tithe are either very uneducated in what the scripture says or are very hypocritical

If we all followed the Bible churches would not get income like that. Would that be a bad thing? Too many churches should not be denominations. All one in Christ. Argue discuss. Always will be differences of opinions and people will be in different places in their walk. Boy I have been taught many things n changed how I view things so so much. I ask for truth and I got it. My husband and I have kept the Sabbath for the past 50 years. We also have kept the biblical Holy Days for those years. I can’t tell you how precious those days are to us, more every year. I tell God all the time how satisfying His holy time is to me. His Holy Days, most importantly the weekly Sabbath, clearly show us His Plan for mankind. They are so full of meaning! This is a wonderful testimony! Seventeen years ago I was challenged by a friend from a former church to study the Sabbath only using the scriptures. What an eye-opener that was for me and then our family. We never looked back and have been blessed to experience restful obedience. Of course, we have also learned about the other Sabbaths (Feasts), clean eating, etc. Thank you for sharing!
Sabbath was the easiest adjustment for me. It is the Sign between me and the Lord that I am His. Love it. Sabbath is a special time to Communicate with prayer and study of the Word. It's Not a Do Nothing day. It is a rest day.
God's word said that it was sign between Him and the children of Israel. I don't understand why it's supposed to be a sign for today? Exodus 31:17 KJV - It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.
It was Mark 15:42 that set me straight personally. I had read the OT but like many, I'd been taught we don't do that. But here's Mary, on the Day of Preparation, the 24 hours before Sabbath, preparing to Keep the Sabbath, even though Jesus had been crucified. I was like wait, WHAT???? So they were keeping Shabbat all along. I look forward now to sunset on Friday night and there's nothing sweeter than a "sanctioned" nap! Bless you for bringing this up.🙏
I don't know if you'll see this, but if you do--is there a list of the verses that have been taken out of newer versions? I did not know this...which is irritating since I have a collection of Bibles on my shelf that probably are missing chunks. Thanks! I needed this today. I WANT to do the "Torah things", but I'm the only believer in my family so... It makes trying to do anything Bible related interesting to say the least. ;)
Yes, there are lists. I do not have any links ready on hand but I have come across them before and did my own looking into it. Some places have lists for each individual translation, including the New King James which many believe is pretty much the same but it has some pretty major changes as well. These lists will do side by side comparisons of verses against the KJV and it is amazing just how long each list for each "Bible" is and how the changes totally change the meaning of each verse, if the verse or verses are even still present. What drew me to research this was about 15 years ago when I noticed missing verses in a certain passage. I do not recall which one it was but the verse numbers were even missing so for example it would go from verse 15 to 18 and 16 and 17 were no where to be seen.

The Catholic church changed the Sabbath to Sunday. I've also read the church was changed to Sunday because Sunday was pagan...The 'suns' day to attract pagan worshippers. Some Christians also say since Jesus rose on Sunday morning, that's why Christians began church on Sunday or in early years of the church if Christians attended church on a Saturday, they would be accused of being Judiaisers. Basically, man changed it...for all kinds of reasons instead of holding to Scripture.
I personally accept what God says about the Sabbath. I'm not 7th day Adventist, im just a believer who studies scripture. I'll continue to observe the Sabbath because God didnt say the Sabbath was just for the Jewish people. He said the sabbath was made for MAN. I agree with you Heidi.

I appreciate what you said about the new Bibles that are coming out. I'm huge on the King James and New King James Bibles. My Aunt has started reading a brand new Bible written in the last 5 years and I've noticed a huge difference, and a ton of discrepancies with the King James Bible. I've tried talking to her about it, but she refused to listen, so I'm just leaving it in God's Hands to open her eyes to the truth. Love everything else you said, too. Great talk!
Just a word of note, I was surprised when I learned some of the new changes I mentioned can be found even in the NKJV and unlike the KJV, it is copywrited, along with all newer Bibles.

Whatever day we meet together and worship collectively as His Church, is not the same as the Sabbath day. This is The Lords Day - the day we celebrate His resurrection and has been traditionally the first day of the week - Sunday. There are Scriptures that speak to the first day of the week being the time the early Christians gathered together. - well before Constantine. (Mark 16:9, Acts 20:7, 1 Cor: 16:2 for example) Sabbath "....transliterates a Hebrew word that mean ceasing from activity or rest" (John Macarthur study Bible NASB) so resting from 6 days of labor, is surely is in mind? I was raised in a Catholic family, but never felt the pull to the religion. Back in 2019, I attended a church, and was baptized as an adult. But it wasn't until 2021, that I was fully devoted to learning more, reading scripture daily and understanding the word of God.

I was also raised Catholic, and I have been a seventh day Sabbath keeper and annual Feast days keeper for almost 40 years.
I grew up Baptist, but had so many questions that nobody was able to answer satisfactory for me. My journey then took me to Pentecostal churches and the same thing. When I started researching the Bible for answers instead of relying on teachers, a whole new understanding opened up. For me a day is from sunset to sunset as listed in Genesis, so we do Shabbat meal Friday evening and Sabbath lasts until sundown Saturday evening. One thing that is really impressed on me is to listen to teaching, pray and research it for yourself. Very good topic, I really enjoy hearing about your path in the faith. Many Blessings!!

If not in Bible I don’t trust it. Must be in context. I asked for truth and boy did I get it. God still has mysteries. God gave us the feast to follow and said do them forever. I don’t follow man or their traditions I follow the Bible. That’s my path GOD WILL deal with others on their path. Personal relation with our Father is the best.
I grew up as a Christian who keeps the Sabbath but I haven't taken it for granted. I have been searching the scriptures testing all I believe against what the Bible says. Needless to say I love the Sabbath more than ever!
i am a sabbath keeper and like you at first i struggled with how to do it all and in only 6 days and then it hit me Yahovah created everything and rested lol so if he could do it i could surely do my stuff . it has turned into a tremendous blessing in countless ways.

When I and my husband were lead to pursue Torah close to 20 years ago, he was working out of town a lot because our business (electrical) slowed down and we weren’t getting enough work. When my husband decided to remember the Sabbath to keep it holy according to the commandment, which meant him not going out of town because they were not willing to work him as much if he didn’t work on Sabbath, the business was blessed and he has had work backed up it seems since then. God has continued being faithful to us as we have obey what He has shown us about other commandments that we were taught were done away with but are not. His ways are a blessing not a burden. I find myself wanting more of the truth to please Him with my life!! I’m looking forward to your other videos how God has lead you and your family into truth.

I’ve been keeping the Sabbath for 14 years now .I look forward to it each Saturday,feeling rested and ready to tackle what is ahead in the coming week. Celebrating the feasts are just as rewarding ,as well as dietary restrictions. All are given to us for a purpose by a Loving and Caring Father .
You have been an inspiration to go and read the bible myself and learn in prayer for God to help me understand his word. I started following you since 2016, and when you talked about why you no longer follow Christmas. A light bulb when on, and I thank you so much for that. In my heart, Christmas was something I didn't understand or liked, and it took Heidi to help me be clear on it. Sabbath I can do, asking my husband, will help us both do what God wants us to do.

I was raised to keep the Sabbath day Holy. As an adult, i worked in the medical field, which required me to work all days of the week. I took 1 out of 7 days to rest and recuperate. There are many jobs that require workers to work different days. However, it is vital to take one day to just rest, medically and spiritually. I very much enjoy your channel and the fact that you openly share your faith in God. Thank you for sharing your considerable knowledge with us. I have learned so much from your channel.

I’m so happy for you! I started this journey 30 years ago after reading a book by David and Karen Mains, “Keeping Sabbath Special”, which explores the Jewish Sabbath traditions and translates it over to the Christian observance of Sunday. Later I started thinking, “ Ok. We’ve got 2000 years and an East/West culture change. Might we have lost anything in the translation?” I discovered we had! Disconnecting from work on Saturday is like cutting the umbilical cord to the world. Over the decades I’ve learned so much and it’s so fun to see your enthusiasm as you begin this journey. There will be twists and turns and surprises. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that God can be trusted. He’s brought you on your particular path in your order for a reason.

I tried finding this book to buy but I was unsuccessful, perhaps it’s out of print? I did find other books, by the woman, one of them about sabbath on Sunday, I don’t remember the exact wording but I had the impression it was encouraging Sunday sabbath. Basically we have to go to the Bible and figure it out.
@@BlessingsfromNorthIdaho yes! I think that’s the book! I couldn’t remember exactly because it’s 40 years ago. It did have Sunday in the title and it was a first step in recognizing sabbath at all. Later information came my way and I realized I needed to switch my observance to Saturday. Thanks for catching that!

You have my heartfelt thanks. I have been struggling with the Sabbath Day issue for years. I knew 7 th day of rest but couldn’t exercise honoring it due to societal practices. Hallelujah, The times are turning, and we are waking up to all the lies we've been fed. We started about 8 months ago to have a queit time, Christian music and prayer time starting about 8:00 pm each night. Then we started observing Sabbath. When Christmas garbage started showing up in the stores last August, we no more Christmas. And heaven forbid I get fired up on easter. We started looking at the Festivals of the Bible, found 8 days of Hanukkah. Biblical holy days are more fun and learning more from the Bible then 50 yrs setting in a pew, keeping it warm. Now the task is to gently move our 50 year old boys and their families off the pew and into really worshipping GOD.
We have so much more meaning and have learned so much more about the Bible by observing the Sabbath. NEVER GOING BACK TO EGYPT.

Yes! You really DO notice the blessings when you observe Shabbat. It takes a bit to rearrange our schedules, but when it happens, you just breathe a sigh of contentment. It's not a salvation issue. I struggle with taking a rest too. I work outside the home 40+ and Saturday is my catch-up day. However I was using Sunday too, but have made an effort to keep that day for God and family.
The sabbath day has also been on my mine. I also wondered as a child why church was on the first day of the week. Saturday is the seventh day.
I never saw nor do I see an issue with people meeting together on Sunday or any day of the week, that does not change the fact that Saturday is still the day of rest. For many who do church on Sunday, it IS work! Especially when you consider you have people taking and counting tithes and offerings, some people running sound equipment, others leading worship, and more

I've heard people say God just makes rules to prove he's the boss, so to speak. I always say every single 'rule' God gave us has a real, down to earth reason. Resting one day a week is a prime example. He knew we needed time not just to rest but slow down and ready ourselves for another work week. Some use it as only that. Some devote the whole day to worship. And some people like myself, use it for both.

Keeping the 7th day Sabbath is something on my mind yet I have yet to commit to it.
Im coming to learn and believe, the Bible is not only God's Word on how to nourish our spiritual side, but also a practical guide for our physical health and well being.
He already provided everything we would ever need through His creation. The rest time is needed for a mental and physical recharging. If you examine all of the forbidden foods it makes sense. Tgings like pigs and bear carry trichinosis. Most of the things forbidden are carrion or bottom feeders and can often be diseased or harmful to us based on their diet. Fasting is also a good practice, a mini detox you may call it.
Yes God is good and I pray conatantly for discernment when I am listening to others expounding on the Bible. And yes, the Bible has been changed and not in a good way. Bit for those with discernment, you will know God's Word it was written on your heart.
Most of the animals God did not call food are cleaners of the air, land, and sea, thus loaded with toxins. Makes sense to just avoid them, even if one believes they have the freedom to eat them

Loved hearing your testimony Heidi! My husband and I (and children) have started keeping the Sabbath day since December 2022 and 2023 was a roller coaster of revelations! When we realized we were wrong on the sabbath it made us think what else are we wrong on? And this past year has been nothing but unlearning the lies and learning the truth of God’s word!
This is the path that I am on right now, so I know exactly what you mean. We have been shown, through the Bible, traditions of men that are looked at by the masses as scriptural, and to have clarity, by the grace of God, to see what we have been a part of, thinking it was biblical and now knowing it is not, is a very strange and a little terrifying, to be completely honest. My husband and I have tried to show family scriptures only from the bible and we have been called legalistic, hypocrites, used by Lucifer, and many more things all from showing scripture and following what is says? Make it make sense! People are so blind. And it just utterly breaks my heart. Another thing with salvation….a lot of people I know believe that you just have to believe in your heart and you will be saved. Well there’s a lot more to that, even Lucifer believes! People’s ignorance is unbelievable to me.

thank you im 69 and i knew the sabbath is sat and it has taken me 8 years of doing my best to keep it, and i love what you said some things we must do and rest all day its good, im the only one in my family that is sabbath keeper and a bible reader, so i love meeting new people like you amen and im an herbalist heath food person since i was 20, and learn everyday more and more god bless you and happy sabbath today!!!!

It's great that people can agree to disagree - we're all in different places in our journey, and what we disagree on today we may agree on in the future, as we move along in our faith walk. God doesn't care that we don't get everything right every time, He's cares that we're interested in doing our best to honor Him, and He will honor us for the attempt (even a poor one) every time! When we start understanding some of the Hebrew, it opens so much, the meanings of the words not in English, but from the Hebrew help us to have such a clearer, fuller understanding!
Hebrew for Old Testament and Greek for New. While generally speaking we should not need to learn the original language, because of how the meaning of scripture has been changed and we have been taught opposing messages, it is very helpful when trying to understand what the truth is

Sabbath keepers here too ! and it’s truly amazing how it has enriched our health and our walk with the Lord.
We are to give reverence to the lord seven days a week but rest on Sabbath or Saturdays, I know a lot of people that rest seven days a week and they are called lazy. 😂
😂😂 I’m dying 😂😂 my husband and I brought keeping the Sabbath to his parents and they refused to accept what the scripture says and say that they rest everyday because Jesus is their Sabbath. I should have used that line!

Like you i have been curious and known about the 7th day sabbath, since i was a kid, although i didn't have a "church" that believed or taught anything about it... in the last few years When i found myself at home caring for my mom 7 days a week with out a sunday home church, I started doing my own studies and found RUclips teachers and online groups for fellowship that shared the same core beliefs as i had. I agree about how the scriptures seem to neatly unfold in a mindset that books of Moses are not only still relevant but the structure, the underpinning that pulls the rest of scripture together. old and new testament alike. Thank you so much for sharing your spiritual walk with us as well, we all can learn from each other, often we learn the most from those we disagree with... because we go back to those familiar scriptures with searching eyes. we may still disagree with them but we will find greater understanding either way.

The great thing is there is nothing that says we cannot worship God on any day of the week and we SHOULD worship daily! There is also nothing that says we can only meet on certain days of the week but resting is the one thing set aside for a specific day. :)
@@RainCountryHomestead But the Book of Romans tells us not to return to observing the Torah like they did in the Old Testament. I have sought for 40 years and I still haven't been told anything about observing the feasts and the Sabbath.
@@gowest5145 Seems you are trying to turn this into a debate despite what I said but I will oblige on this just to clear up the confusion. That statement is a common error. That is certainly NOT what it says. Can you quote where it says exactly to "not return to the Torah"? All verses that are used to make the argument that we are to abandon GOD'S laws are all used out of context without proper understanding. Some of the phrases are in reference to the man made laws and others are in reference to the law of sin and death, NOT God's laws. This becomes very clear when you read through the the Old Testament and read the verses in question within context also understanding that Paul kept the very commandments that many claim he is speaking against

Ok I don’t do Christmas. Took me 4 years of God prodding me to finally let it totally go. Little at a time. People tell me well that’s not what it means to me and I always say doesn’t matter what it means to you. What does it mean to God. Would your wife or husband be happy if you celebrate their birthday ion a former girlfriend or boyfriend? I give gifts at Hanukkah. I just let God lead me through his word. I guess I’m really Messanic but there again I know people who have gone hog wild about how everything is to be done and those things are NOT in the Bible. They are man made. Espeically when you learn about what the tithe was really about and to whom and where it was to be brought. So those who use the argument that you cannot keep the feasts because you cannot go to Jerusalem but then say we should pay tithe are either very uneducated in what the scripture says or are very hypocritical

@@RainCountryHomestead my sister in law was catholic n used to get a bill in the mail. for her tithes (1975 ish). Blew me away. Lmbo. If we all followed the Bible churches would not get income like that. Would that be a bad thing? Too many churches should not be denominations. All one in Christ. Argue discuss. Always will be differences of opinions and people will be in different places in their walk. Boy I have been taught many things n changed how I view things so so much. I ask for truth and I got it. My husband and I have kept the Sabbath for the past 50 years. We also have kept the biblical Holy Days for those years. I can’t tell you how precious those days are to us, more every year. I tell God all the time how satisfying His holy time is to me. His Holy Days, most importantly the weekly Sabbath, clearly show us His Plan for mankind. They are so full of meaning! May God bless you for your obedience! God blesses us as we obey, even if we have no idea how it will work out! My land Sabbath comes up in 5 years. I am excited already!
This is a wonderful testimony! Seventeen years ago I was challenged by a friend from a former church to study the Sabbath only using the scriptures. What an eye-opener that was for me and then our family. We never looked back and have been blessed to experience restful obedience. Of course, we have also learned about the other Sabbaths (Feasts), clean eating, etc. Thank you for sharing!

Sabbath was the easiest adjustment for me. It is the Sign between me and the Lord that I am His. Love it. Sabbath is a special time to Communicate with prayer and study of the Word. It's Not a Do Nothing day. It is a rest day.
God's word said that it was sign between Him and the children of Israel. I don't understand why it's supposed to be a sign for today?
Exodus 31:17 KJV - It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.
It was Mark 15:42 that set me straight personally. I had read the OT but like many, I'd been taught we don't do that. But here's Mary, on the Day of Preparation, the 24 hours before Sabbath, preparing to Keep the Sabbath, even though Jesus had been crucified. I was like wait, WHAT???? So they were keeping Shabbat all along. I look forward now to sunset on Friday night and there's nothing sweeter than a "sanctioned" nap! Bless you for bringing this up.🙏
I don't know if you'll see this, but if you do--is there a list of the verses that have been taken out of newer versions? I did not know this...which is irritating since I have a collection of Bibles on my shelf that probably are missing chunks. Thanks! I needed this today. I WANT to do the "Torah things", but I'm the only believer in my family so... It makes trying to do anything Bible related interesting to say the least. ;)
Yes, there are lists. I do not have any links ready on hand but I have come across them before and did my own looking into it. Some places have lists for each individual translation, including the New King James which many believe is pretty much the same but it has some pretty major changes as well. These lists will do side by side comparisons of verses against the KJV and it is amazing just how long each list for each "Bible" is and how the changes totally change the meaning of each verse, if the verse or verses are even still present. What drew me to research this was about 15 years ago when I noticed missing verses in a certain passage. I do not recall which one it was but the verse numbers were even missing so for example it would go from verse 15 to 18 and 16 and 17 were no where to be seen.
