@@AndrewRooneyDrums I'm no expert when it comes to recording drums, but most bands in this genre usually seem to use a lot of trickery to achieve that plastic, fake sound they're after when recording an album. Each hit on the drum replaced by a sample and so on. No idea why they didn't make a real playthrough of this though. Perhaps he doesn't hit hard enough?
I happen to have been to a show, front row, watching Lee play. He's got chops and precision, but I did notice his feet, even triggered up, weren't keeping up by mid set. I'm a huge fan of thy art is murder but I won't lie about the performance I saw. Love his work regardless.
just wondering here...would it not be better to do a playthrough first...clean, no pauses....and then when it's done go back and break it down into the bits you liked and want to comment on?? that way we and you get to here the drumming all the way through allowing us to get into the flow of it a bit more??? ...just a thought... ;/
