@@OJuggernautOit's all relative to the amount of money the player has makes no difference really. Example being, a guy with a net worth of 2 million calling off 20k is thr exact same as a net worth of 50,000 calling off 500.

Fred was talking too much and in my opinion giving off signals that he didn’t want a call based on what he was saying. Trying to dare him to call too confidently, and even saying “is 8 high close?” Trying to challenge the notion that Scooba thought that hand was close. Too many indicators he didn’t really want the call he was daring Scooba to make.
Of course it’s easy to say when we can see the hand, but I think Fred would’ve had a better chance at getting a fold if he would have just shut up and not said anything.
Also, if I was going to do any talking, when Scooba said, “I think 8 high might be good,” if I open my mouth at all I would say something like “I can say for sure that 8 high is no good” because it’s not an outright lie when it would be a chop.
