I think that was my favorite one yet. Something about doing the Iraeli music meant he could indulge the most cliche boogie woogie while it was still very different sounding. A meeting of worlds and best of both, two cliches making one awesome not cliche. I loved that. Shalom!
I really like how you had respect for the Jewish people and played something that related to them. It was a way to make them feel welcome, and it's like you're ultimately stepping into their shoes. I honour you for that, because some people would rather just play their own thing. You did Boogie Woogie, but later added the original piece back into it, and that just goes to show you care for these people, even if you hardly know them.
Brendan, I love the way you use music that is familiar to your local audience to get them into your playing and then roll in the boogie woogie leaving them liking something that was unknown to them previously.
a river flows in you is one of my fav piano songs, brings out alot of emotions, back in college i was feeling kinda depressed alot and when i was feeling that way it kinda made the mood feel alot better, not sure why but it just made me feel better, so its one of my top songs and i want to learn to play it someday. but it needs some BoOgiE WoOgIe after i found this channel.

I stumbled across this video and had to watch your others. I am 63, and you reminded me of my grandmother(Nana). When she played on their upright , she would pound out the music, then called ragtime, now I believe boogie woogie. I was 5-10 years old. She was born in the 1890-1900 in Ireland. she was also a master of the keys,. I think of her every time I see you! I am nobody, but it might be a good time to be!
