Ok so theyre not VSB eggs BUT still applies to check your plant leaves! Also adding the Diatomaceous earth at the base of your plants can help. All these tips can still help protrct your plants🌻
Just put Fireplace ashes in the soil before planting. The Lye in the ashes is taken up into the squash. Keeps the Moth away. If you already have plants in the ground. Sprinkle ashes around the base of the plant lightly work it into the soil.
The squash bug eggs, the ones that are grouped, if you get to them too late and they already hatched, it is easy to kill the bugs with soapy water in a spray bottle. The vine borer eggs are not grouped like that.
Live in zone 9, south Louisiana and they SVB have killed me this summer and still are! Injecting the few squash I have left today! Thanks for great content!

My squash is surrounded with onions but still got killed by squash bugs.😢. I used DE on the base too and been oil with Castile oil. Next year I might try Spinosad. Thanks for the tips.
I've learned that it legit takes ALL of the methods. I found the DE and spinosad to be quite effective the most but still it takes a combined effort. Good luck!

I love you, but those are squash bug eggs. SVB eggs are never clumped up they are red and even smaller than that, and they lay them individually. Most people say they lay at the base of the plants but I have found them everywhere. Look up SVB eggs you will see they are different. Squash bugs are our enemy as well but they look like long stink bugs, and they do NOT burrow into the plant.
@@TheAdhdGardener I think that is a good idea but remember you have to reapply after rain. Also, You may need to put it wherever you grew squash last year.

Wrap some masking tape around your hand and pat the eggs . They will stick to the tape, pull the tape of and throw away and repeat!!

Ok cool thanks! I still don't want those eggs tho😁 I figure still at the base the diatomaceous earth will help with that
