Interesting to see Victoria had come (a bit more) back to life at this point although presumably that didn't last long given that Boris announced another lockdown that evening. Flixbus had already suspended all their UK services by this point bar the one between London and Bristol which was suspended a couple of days later and unlike the first lockdown NX and Megabus both stayed running albeit they ran a very reduced level of service for the duration.

80euros? 33 hours, fly there for 20 quid. I can understand getting a train but stuck on a bus with no way of moving around, don't fancy that. But great video anyway, thanks.
Hello Robert. We wouldn't have paid €80 for that trip either. As we booked it using 2 vouchers each with a €99 Interflix Pass, it was €40 each for the journey. I carry a 20kg backpack so we would have incurred baggage charges if flying. We enjoy long distance bus travel, and treat each journey as its own adventure. Of course other people would prefer to take a much shorter and more convenient flight, but we choose to travel overland whenever we can! ~ Mandy
The first long distance Flixbus we travelled on, from Bucharest to London, had great WiFi the whole journey. We thought it would be the same on all Flixbus, so always include information about the WiFi in our videos. We have a basic data plan with only 2GB because, as per the name, we're Frugal Travellers.
Hello Frank! A great question. We spent 3 years and 7 months travelling only on buses and trains across 15 countries, and made good use of the Flixbus Interflix pass! We've started flying again now, but I still prefer travelling long distance by train and bus rather than flying! ~ Mandy 😁😀
Well spotted 😃 For a few reasons: 1) to have a window seat each for videos and photos... which is also why we try to sit on the opposite sides of the bus; 2) to try and have enough space to lie down and sleep; 3) because I carry so much stuff that I struggle to fit it in the overhead shelf! Also... we spend 24/7 together so enjoy the time apart 😂
Hahhha 😂🤣 I need Lee's navigational skills to get me to our accommodation...and his language skills! In the past 2 years he's studied Russian, Turkish, Romanian, Polish and now Portuguese! He's a Renaissance man 😁😆👍
We always prefer travelling by bus ot train. It can be expensive to buy a single ticket for this journey from London to Porto, but with the €99 Interflix pass with its 5 journeys, it becomes far more affordable. Thank you for taking the time to comment! 😃🙏 ~ Mandy

That is another city we'd like to explore more. The whole north coast of Spain looks very pretty and inviting. 😊
Did the coach go anywhere near ponferrada
It stopped at Oviedo, A Coruña, Santiago de Compostela and Vigo before Porto.
~ Mandy
I've never crossed the French Spanish border in my life. Although I did cross all of Spains other land borders
How about the Spanish border from Ceuta into Morocco? We still have to visit Andorra. Maybe on this trip!
Well I did cross the strait of Gibraltar to get to Morocco. Sea border yes. But not those 2 enclaves
You make a vídeo about how restaurants in the Algarve are opening and you go to a Sushi place?!?!
Yes, we did. The food was tasty AND the restaurant was full of locals enjoying the excellent value €8.99 buffet, as the Portuguese love fish.
@@FrugalTravellers so......you really enjoy the low prices....
@Hubertina Simon Our name says it all 😀😁
@@FrugalTravellers ok, but there are plenty of cheap options that would be typical Portuguese and would be tastier and more interesting.
Great idea. We'll keep an eye out for good specials. We do like Portuguese food. We virtually live off sardines and bifanas here! 😊
Why is the WiFi such a big deal? Data in Europe is free to use and the uk sim only plans are so cheap.
@@FrugalTravellers there might be cheaper plans that include more data
why not go ryanair or easyjet
Hello Frank! A great question. We spent 3 years and 7 months travelling only on buses and trains across 15 countries, and made good use of the Flixbus Interflix pass! We've started flying again now, but I still prefer travelling long distance by train and bus rather than flying! ~ Mandy 😁😀
@@FrugalTravellers I fly for longer distances out the country and train buses in the country
nice
Thank you 🙏
very nice video ;-) but it would be a little too long for me 33h by Bus: D
We love long bus journeys - our longest direct journey so far was Bucharest to London... 46 hours to relax, listen to podcasts and watch Netflix 😁😀
@@FrugalTravellers There is time to watch a few seasons on Netflix on such a journey but also to take the time to admire the view ;-)
@The City Traveller Podcasts during the day and Netflix at night :)
Two people fit together they travel hard time go with that ok bye
Thanks, we enjoy travelling together even when it is tough. We love the long journeys. 😊👍 ~ Lee
30+ hours sat on a coach, you must be crazy.
Did you see our Bucharest to London video? That was 56 hours on the same bus... 2½ days, and we had a great time! ~ Mandy
Why do you guys always sit apart?
Well spotted 😃 For a few reasons: 1) to have a window seat each for videos and photos... which is also why we try to sit on the opposite sides of the bus; 2) to try and have enough space to lie down and sleep; 3) because I carry so much stuff that I struggle to fit it in the overhead shelf! Also... we spend 24/7 together so enjoy the time apart 😂
@@FrugalTravellers 😂🤣fair enough . Is that why you keep changing buses as well - hoping Lee will end up getting back on the wrong one
@@deanomoses51 And I fart a lot. Haha... Only kidding 😂 (Lee here)
Hahhha 😂🤣 I need Lee's navigational skills to get me to our accommodation...and his language skills! In the past 2 years he's studied Russian, Turkish, Romanian, Polish and now Portuguese! He's a Renaissance man 😁😆👍
@@FrugalTravellers 😆😂😂😂😆
I am portuguese living in UK, I didnt this bus. Next time after this problems with virus.
We always prefer travelling by bus ot train. It can be expensive to buy a single ticket for this journey from London to Porto, but with the €99 Interflix pass with its 5 journeys, it becomes far more affordable.
Thank you for taking the time to comment! 😃🙏 ~ Mandy
Thank you.Did you enjoy my City and my country?By plane is always the same ViewWhere I can buy the interflix pass? Sorry tô much questions
Did you need a covid test
No, we didn't need one in October.
The tests are scam.
@@kazzicup But the deaths are real .
Flixbus is stealing from people and you would think that I am someone who is mad at flixbus which is true haha but I have proofs and I am not the only one do your research you will a lot of people going through the same situation what surprise me is that no is doing anything they will pretend that are trying to help you but no
As you can see from our many Flixbus videos, we have never had an issue with them.
