You can find him holding the dagger with his left hand during the entire scene. Two, when he stabs Thanos. So, Loki's illusion uses his left hand because he's a mirrored version? The Loki that was killed in the beginning of IW was an illusion and he's still out there, maybe disguised or just in hiding.”

Loki would never go at Thanos with a DAGGER, he just watched Thanos beat the hell out of the Hulk, and he's experienced first hand how brutal the Hulk is. He knows the power Thanos has. He could have just stayed hiding in the shadows. Nobody would have remembered he was there and would have just left the way they did. He could havd gine and freed Thor, then find a way to escape. If they dont find a way to escape, they'll get picked up by the Guardians and everything will go how it did. Or (this is turn into an essay) when he said "We have a hulk" to Thanos, he dropped the Tesseract and dove towards Thor to push him out of the way. He could have snatched the tesseract, grabbed Thor, and teleport them out of there using the Tesseract. Done. That also stops Thanos from getting all the other stones, because he wouldnt have been able to use the Tesseract to jump from place to place. Thor and Loki could group up with all the other Avengers and form a plan. They could extract Vision's mind stone, have Doctor Strange there with the Time stone, have the Tesseract with them, and find a way to get the Reality stone, and only need the power stone. Maybe there would be a final battle like the one at the end of Infinity War, resulting in Thanos getting all the stones and snapping. Maybe Loki would die, just in a much more honorable way. Endgame would still be the same. When they go back in time to get the stones, Loki would still escape with the Tesseract, making for an even more interesting Loki series, with two Loki's on the loose, an evil one and a good one. In my personal opinion when Loki went back into Asgard's palace to burn Surtur's crown in "Thor Ragnarok", he did take Odin's staff with him (Hela left it in the Throne room). That item can be used by somebody who has the Odin power (it seems like Thor has it at the moment?) to start the rebirth of the gods after Ragnarök. I think he used the minutes in which he disappeared to make sure that the staff is not on the space ship but at a place where Thor could/would eventually find it. The field in Norway where Odin died probably? Then his words "I assure you brother, the sun will shine on us again" would not only be a good bye but would also have a deeper message. (Like "go search for the staff!") - Loki is an important god in the norse death and rebirth cycle after all. That is probably why he attacked Thanos with his dagger: if he would have come to the conclusion that dying is the best option for him, he would of course make sure that he would die in battle. - I do think that Marvel will bring Loki back. I'm more afraid that they won't bring Tom Hiddleston back. The thing is that it seems (I'm not 100% per cent sure of this. I read that a while ago but I don't know where and if it was a reliable source) Kevin Feige said in an interview that he would like to bring the Young Avengers into the cinematic universe and the Young Avengers are teenagers...
Ikili oh I hope they don't replace tom, I know that feign and marvel think that he's getting old, but honestly I can't imagine anyone playing loki other than tom. Also, I hope that loki has a bigger role in A4, I was so disappointed to see that loki wasn't used in infinity war. I thought his character was really dumbed down in ragnarok, and I was hoping to see Loki use his Jotun powers a lot more

I’m gonna be real here when I was little I watched some of the avengers movies like iron man and captain America and Thor I used to actually hate Loki and thought of him as the villain but, as I got older I started to actually like Loki and soon he was my all time favorite character ever. But once I saw avengers infinity war I lost my shit I swear to god I wanted to freaking scream my heart out when they showed his body and all I wanted to do was cry and as I watched this I literally started to cry it brought to many sad memories of that scene and this part is gonna sound dramatic but I can’t watch infinity war...like I can’t every time somebody brings it up I just want to cry because all I remember is just his body on the ground so when my parents and me watch some avengers movies I can’t watch infinity war
