@cooking with hint of soul hello, I’m a new subscriber and your food looks delicious! Will you please share your recipe for the sofrito? Is it the same as chow chow ?
Man I looked up “dinner recipes” and it was some shit like potato’s and chicken barely seasoned baked together and then this other lady made pork chops and a salad.. And while honestly I wish I ate like that .. I was like hold up something missing. “Southern dinner recipes” Mmmmm all the cheese the cream the seasonings, holy trinity hallelujah!!! Southern food is the best!! Even though my arteries feel a lil thick
Was that milk or cream you put inside of the gravy for the smothered chicken? Nevermind i heard it was corn starch and water but how much did u=you use in measurements?
WOW!! Great video I'm telling u Ms Lady u r a AMAZING chef this video brought back childhood memories of my mother and grandmother cooking r sunday dinners. U food looked so good, n that mac and cheese oh my I'll be trying that recipe this weekend. Thanks for another great video please keep them coming I'm telling all my people to subscribe to ur channel u r the real deal blessings from San Diego Ca.
I’m 61 and vegan for the past 6 years. I grew up eating the foods in this video. I would say it’s ok to eat a dinner like this for a special occasion like a holiday, or birthday or picnic. But otherwise, it is not good to eat like this on a daily basis. Over time, animal products lead to clogged arteries. I was a caregiver to parents and a grandmother for 17 years total and they all suffered from arteriosclerosis even though none of them were overweight. My uncle, who was always going to “church dinners” ended up with arteriosclerosis, diabetes, and a leg amputation. Just before his other leg was to be amputated, he passed away. Just wanted to say, if you do eat these foods, do so on a rare occasion. Plant foods are the best diet.
@@queenbbeaute2654 Laugh all you want. I have seen what happens to people on the other end of the Standard American diet which is full of animal products. You are young. Your arteries are not clogged yet because it takes years for the cumulative effects of eating animal products to manifest. Clogged arteries lead to heart disease, strokes, kidney failure, cancer, arthritis, cataracts, and a host of other illnesses. You are not feeling the consequences of what you are eating now. But one day you will. It won't be funny then.

Can u buy sofrito at the local stores?
Yes. You'll find it in the aisle with Spanish food. Get Sofrito and Recaito, they'll change the way you make soups, rice, etc. It's made by Goya.
How can I go to the ingredients??
Eat this 24 times outta a year is enough
You’ve confirmed what I already know! Cooking in the kitchen with Mom 🤍🤍 Nothing better!

Not everyone wants to be vegan and eat plant garbage save ur preach
