Thank you ! That was hardest part for me. Acting and recording, it's so easy to get lost in your own mind and give up, alot more I wanted to do but I learned alot from making this film and I plan to keep going with more. I truly appreciate your comment 🙏
Loved this. I remember me, my brother and 2 of my cousins went for a walk in the woods afew years ago....yep...of course we got lost. I can still feel the absolute fear, approaching nightfall, hunger, thirst and convinced we were all going to die. Luckily we were found. I will never forget how terrifying it was to experience, however fortunate to not be alone. This film picks up the tension perfectly. Stay safe, when wandering folks.
genuine acting, gorgeous scenery, good story - never go hiking alone when people dont know where you are., plus make sure your mobile is fully charged. such a professional job. well done
Excellent short movie. Loosing ourself in the woods, without any food or supply is, by far, one of the most terrifying experience you can live. The way you show this man alone, in increasing anguish when he finds that he is unable to find his way, is so poignant. And the acting is really convincing. You don't know if you will survive. And if so, how long it will be? This short movie is so realistic and frightening at the same time. It's in these conditions we can feel we're very little in front of nature. Your enticing story teaches us a sincere lesson of humility.
I truly appreciate this ! 🙏 thank you for taking the time to let me know how it made you feel. For my first short film... the feedback is truly appreciated and has me extremely motivated to do more 🙏👌
Awesome film! 🎥 With all the Missing 411 out there you can bet, they felt this way...like being trapped in a horror movie. I enjoyed it. 👏 This happened to a family friend...Dr. John Magruder in WV a few years ago. Went hiking in the state park, went missing, hikers found him in 2022.
My condolences to Dr. John. Growing up in the woods I've always had a great sense of direction. But even the best of us take a wrong turn at times. It's always best to prepared and even more so when alone. Thank you for watching and commenting 🙏 I truly appreciate it and can't wait to make another !
I think people who say this isn't scary doesn't realize the gravity of this situation: The Horror genre itself is fundamentally subjective and situational. Mazeophobia is the fear of being lost, and when combined with monatophobia, which is the fear of dying alone, this film realistically reflects the value of life when survival devolves into hopelessness. I've said this on two other comments, because it's important to understand the concept of a genre before criticizing it. If you can't relate or aren't afraid of this scenario, that's one thing, but remember that people have actually gone through this and were never found again. Without food or water, your internal organs slowly begin to break down as it desperately tries to keep you alive without anything in your digestive system to work with, which may cause you to throw up due to kidney problems. Not to mention the hallucinations you experience due to lack of sleep or nutrient deficiency. Wild animals may hunt you, venomous spiders or snakes may bite you, and all of this is happening while you're completely alone in the middle of nowhere, and NO ONE knows where you are. So would you go out in the woods and film yourself walking around? If you say no because you don't want anything bad to happen to you, then congratulations- you just proved why this video exists and why it's relevant to the fragile lungs you live and breathe through. Be appreciative of other people's work, even if you don't understand the insight behind it.
Really cool shots and overall great film! I love the location, it reminds me of all the woods in my hometown :) amazing quality for your first ever short film, keep it up!
Thank you very much. I traveled from FL -Alabama to shoot. I only had 2.5 days to get all the footage while having my 1yr old with me lol Where's your hometown ? I Def appreciate the comment, and can't wait to make the next one.
Ay! Thanks Kris. Only had 2.5days to get it done. Having a 1yr old with me and limited time I could only do so much. Def some other angles and shots i would have liked. But I'm pretty pleased with the outcome. Thanks for watching brotha. Happy new yr !
Great!!! I was lost out there with you. Also made me think of all of the missing hiker news stories, this is probably how they all started, just as a hike.
Getting lost the woods is frightening. Sometimes you decide to take a different path, you forget where you are, landmarks, the time, low on water, energy, etc
I drove 8hrs to see the falls in the intro, once I arrived I realized getting access to them the way I wanted wasn't possible. So drone work was the only option there. Also it's "The Falls" plural. Not singular. So more than one could be expected. I'm not Scorsese over here either. Yet . Lol
And the point is?...where's the scary part?...who goes to a unknown place for camping without the right equipment?...the only good thing were the pics...nice camera shooting....the rest...is pointless.
I left a cabin... I didn't go out to camp. Just hiking. Getting lost can happen to anyone. You have a $0 budget, travel 8hrs to location, and shoot something better with one camera, your 1 year old daughter, and your gf. Also you only have about 8 hrs to make the film.... 🤷♂️ I appreciate the feedback none the less 👌
So his cell phone still worked but he chose not to call for rescue and then started running frantically through the woods even though he didn’t know if he was going the right way because going nowhere quickly is what’s important i guess…
Hello X , For your first short that was pretty cosmically cool as hell & the way you used the shifting scenes did the trick as to what's really going on as he jumps around the time shifts only to still be lost in his backyard if that was his house at the start. Fantastic place to film or just be there . I would have left the cell phone & grabbed my fishing rod if i were dare go where it says no trespassing . They never learn do they !!! At least in the end he does manage to find a way out , it's called DEATH ... 💀
@@XzavierPhotos Much appreciated but you did all the work & for your first attempt well that's hard to believe as this was really good, actually more than good !! . Look forward to watching what ever you do next .
