an advice to get the best fish in portugal. if a woman attends you at the fishmonger's, you must imply that the fish is for the children. even if they don't have children. say "it's for the Baby's soup" and they always choose the best and freshest for you. it looks bad to deceive, but it's a technique if you ever kneed it. imply that the product you buy is for a baby, people will give you the best product.

At this moment there's no region restriction, starting in 2022, you no longer get the golden visa if you buy in Lisbon, Porto and Algarve
@@luisv8431
Hello Luis,
What’s the minimum price to get the golden?I’ve heard several different numbers 350,000-500,000
Just curious and Thankyou for reply
€350,000 on eligible renovated properties of which 20% needs to go towards renovation budget. €500,000 for something turnkey. It doesn't have to be on 1 property. It would be multiple in a portfolio. - Josh & Kalie
Thanks Esquared…..
Like your channel muito muito,
Obrigado

The Asian racism during covid was bad in the us. So nice to hear it wasn’t as bad there.
Thanks for watching and subscribing, Ashely! - Josh & Kalie
THE Racism toward blacks in every Asian country pre and post covid is horrible
I don't like to critique too much, but how is Lisbon walkable? It has to be in the bottom 10% of walkable European cities. Clearly an American perspective.
It's okay. Kalie and I don't find Lisbon to be walkable compared to Porto, however, several blogs do have Lisbon in their top 10-15 for walkable European cities. 🤔 Google search it and let us know what you think. - Josh & Kalie
@@ExpatsEverywhere the famous hills of Lisbon are only in the old city area - the rest is quite 'walkable'
@@silveriorebelo8045 same with Porto.
an advice to get the best fish in portugal. if a woman attends you at the fishmonger's, you must imply that the fish is for the children. even if they don't have children.
say "it's for the Baby's soup" and they always choose the best and freshest for you.
it looks bad to deceive, but it's a technique if you ever kneed it. imply that the product you buy is for a baby, people will give you the best product.
Sneaky but very interesting! Thanks for the tip and taking care of the kiddos. - Josh & Kalie
Is Portuguese much harder than Spanish or Italian language?
The pronunciation maybe but otherwise, there are a lot of similar patterns and for native English speakers they all take around the same amount of time from a statistical (diagnostic) standpoint. - Josh & Kalie
Thai question is for the RUclipsr of this channel : What race are Portuguese people? Can’t ethnic Portuguese people be Asian as well?
Yes, some that come from Macau. Some think they are chinese, but is not true.
Azure Kite - Race? We are happily and proudly a melting pot. We are are colours and shapes 😁😁
Most of the Portuguese people are descendants of Celts, Romans and Germans (Vandals, Alans, Visigoths and Slavs). These Portuguese are Aryans.
There are also many Portuguese from almost every other ethnicity.
And none is better or worse than the other.
@@ajs966743 Someone can look stereotypically Black or Asian and have their ancestors be Celtic , Roman, German in Portugal and be Indo-European
Those Chinese people are full of ideas!Portugal is a beautiful country and as such needs to star charging foreigners accordingly! It should be like Monaco difficult to get in and at moment is way to easy!!!
Iam doing my best to move to Portugal
I ll need some help 😃
When they said they clearly aren’t Portuguese , what does that mean ? Can you elaborate?
I am a American RUclipsr and am I am ethnic Portuguese because of my great-great-great-great-great grandfather was from Portugal and I some say I definitely don’t look stereotypically European
I guess when you walk into a place and they say 'hello'!! I get this all the time...I am tall and blonde, but more than that look like a tourist I guess! I lived in France for 13 years and never lost my 'Americaness'! I do adhere to cultural differences and norms, but stand out as different...In a good way and I accept and embrace it!!
That's right, Tamara. It's more than just a face. I've heard countless times from Europeans that they can tell an American by the way they walk. Style of dress and hair are also non-verbal cues that someone isn't from a certain place. - Josh
I know when an American or Americans are around because they cannot keep a conversation with in themselves🙋🏻♂️🙋🏻♂️.. They are Loud and it seems they want others to hear what they say🥱.. The other thing is when seating to eat that cap of hat stays on😩😩.. To me is annoying as hell.. Especially the yapping! Makes me want to say Yo🗣🗣🗣.. Soosh!!
@@leesantos2733 Now Lee...Not all Americans are loud, but many are! Hate to break it to you, but many Portuguese are loud I've noticed!! I normally try not to stereotype too much...
@@tamaramadelin4831 .. “ Don’t break it to me”.. Wherever I been I’ve witnessed it.. But I gotta say it, those from Southern States are usually mannered!! .. Up here in the North East no..

All the info you gave us is very useful for me, despite of not needing some services cause I´m an EU citizen. But I need an account to pay things in Coimbra (which I knew thanks to you), I´ll need a Nif, & may be more. All your valuable info went into a txt file, that exists since May 2021 in two laptops & a pendrive. Thank´s for everything, I´ll try to stay in contact.
Great to hear, Teo. Thank you for sharing. Please stay in touch and enjoy Coimbra. - Josh & Kalie
It’s funny how you use the word expats instead of immigrants, we don’t have that word in Portuguese but we can definitely understand why people like you use it.
It's generally used for people who stay in a place for shorter time period. The intent is with a temporary move in mind. We've heard Portuguese people use the word "expatriado" - Josh & Kalie
Nice video. Great info. I like how this couple, and you and Kaylie both see a problem as an opportunity. Very inspiring. I'm paying $2,550 for an immigration speciality agency to help me. I hope it ends up being worth it. I'm hoping their help will expeddite my process. Somehow I think things simply take time and there isn't much one can do to expedite them. We shall see.
Thanks, Roy! We appreciate it. We love Richard and Kat. They've become friends and have been really helpful for us in our NIF situation. They're an amazing team. Really. The agency should certainly be able to smooth the process out, however, like you said things take time and it's probably nothing to do with the agency and everything to do with SEF and what their volume is like. Don't panic! We're with you. You've got this. 💪 - Josh & Kalie
Can you please guide me for good agency to help me finish my work papers

If you can trust in a good agency please send me info

@@ExpatsEverywhere my pleasure Katie and Josh. I have viewed most of your videos , as I am an expat who desires to move and retire in Portugal! It’s not only a gorgeous country and safe environment , but it is part of my Cape Verdean heritage ♥️ Alhough Porto looks amazing , it’s too far North and cold for my bones! I’m planning on visiting in the Fall Sept-October ( Lisbon , Oeiras, Sintra (to see the castles ) I’m interested in residing in Cascais or Estoril. I will start my NIF through Bodr and will consider taking your D7 online Visa class😄 Blessings to you both and Valencia!
