What about spray paint for plastic - like Rustoleum for plastic?

Dyeing is permanent. Paint will come off, and if using any sort of holster, will basically come off immediately.

u dont need to take fiber optics off fyi they dont turn

Uh, yeah, you need to take them off. The dye doesn't permeate the spaces between the optics and the slide, and the dye DOES discolor the optics. Nice.
