I absolutely loved Hilary's down to earth, gritty way of speaking. There was something very realistic and yet, reassuring in her manner of speech. It is such a pity that she is no longer with us.
I’m constantly surprised that there are so many fashion related pitches with entrepreneurs who think they have the USP to penetrate an overcrowded market.
It isn’t a crowded market..there have been a number of new labels emerge the past decade or so that have established a loyal customer base…its competitive sure but the likes of say gymshark have shown it is possible.
Can a new line create a buzz. If you are a high profile celeb like paltrow. Even good designers with a following have gone bankrupt. I think a new label can get some traction, but are they investable. I think starting out, you have to bootstrap, reinvest & grow the business. Watch expenses.
