I noticed right away when Everyday was first released months ago that her voice was almost identical to Aimee Mann. Since then I’ve heard Karen Carpenter in it too.
Tempo too fast. She got caught in the moment. It’s supposed to be a sort of brooding-in-the-back-of-your-mind feeling. It’s easy to jump the gun like this. When I record at the piano I literally mark the tempo nest to the tile just so that I make sure to keep it in the tempo that I had planned and intended. I love Miss. Weyes Blood, though. Gives me hope for humanity!
