It's a shame not many people know about this version of the game, which I personally think is infinitely superior than the more popular NES/Famicom one.
@@mark6302The Famicom version of Circus Charlie was actually legitimate to begin with-it was developed & published by Soft Pro International, under license from Konami. It HAS, however, appeared in numerous Famiclone systems and bootleg multi-carts.
I love those sound tracks from that game too, but it also gives me tears about how fast time have passed away, i just cannot believe that this game is already 40 years old,it also reminds me of those better, happy and more simpler times from the 80’s😁🥲
I remember playing this a long time ago at my respite home in North London. I wouldn’t proceed through the stage as I just enjoyed just standing there waiting for the flame ring to burn me
The Difference between the Famicom/NES version and the arcade are : -Soundtrack : Especially in the "Lion riding" and "Horse riding" chapters, The NES/Famicom version uses American Patrol for the theme, meanwhile the arcade version is not. But the "Tightrope" and "Walking on a Ball" chapter that uses theme for both NES/Famicom and Arcade Anybody tell me more to know the difference from these above
I remember playing this on my Dad's old ThinkPad computer 20 years ago when I was a little kid. I died so many times with that stupid horse and those stupid swings.
this game looks amazing, very very well animated, the aesthetics really stand out edit: 14:55 is that the mfin undertale battle start noise? its probably just a generic sound.......
Am stun that this gsme not only does contain many elements from supermariobros and future platformers, but it even came 1 year BEFORE supermariobros, so that’s why i believe that this game was extreamly ahead of it’s time, why most people (including me) only do remember supermariobros and also do believe that that was the first most innovative side scrolling platformer? Because supermariobros somehow sparket the the sales of nintendo nes systems massivaly , it did let to a whole bunch of clones and knock offs of that game under referencing names,it did made all other side scrolling platform games that came before it become forgotten and fade into obscurity, wich is pretty sad because games such as circus charlies and jungle hunt do deserve their place into modern game history as well.
One of the most underrated games of all time!

The cheering when you complete a level sounds like the one in Track & Field. Ahhh... Good times.
0:49 rings of fire

3:15 riding on a ball
4:07 riding on a horse

I've seen the NES version of this game, but my, oh, my, the original arcade version of this game looks A LOT better. 😊💙
Another coin dropper. Very entertaining.
hahaha Eu não conhecia essa! Que show de bola!
Why the BGM is different from the NES version? Like the first stage
I remember playing this a long time ago at my respite home in North London. I wouldn’t proceed through the stage as I just enjoyed just standing there waiting for the flame ring to burn me
so why you need to die on the final stage? what if you complete it? you end up on an infinite loop?

This is pretty sweet!

@@TrueSolunarIts a joke on a jontron episode about bootleg plug and plays where he finds this game mislabeled as toy story
