I’d like to respectfully add another angle on the comparison to AW and that is that imo it’s more that both artists were/are influenced by the same jazz greats of the past such as Etta James and Billie Holliday etc and so it’s no surprise that they both sing in a similar manner..ie rather than Angelina is borrowing from Amy..Also can I say this was such a treat watching your reaction..you’re a class act sir 🙏

Questa è la seconda canzone del suo meraviglioso nuovo EP "Old Enough", ascoltare le nuove canzoni dell'EP di Angelina, così belle e diverse tra loro, è stata per me davvero un'esperienza fantastica. La combinazione del suo talento, della sua fantastica crescita, della sua voce unica, dei testi accattivanti e della bellezza delle emozioni che trasmettono mi lascia semplicemente in soggezione e grato di averla conosciuta 10 anni fa e di aver avuto il piacere di aver potuto seguire la sua evoluzione nel corso degli anni. La mescolanza di stili, timbri, voci, generi e toni che questa ragazza riesce ad utilizzare è incredibile, non si tratta solo della sua primaria formazione jazzistica, che ha sviluppato in modo eccellente, ma di tutte le fonti musicali che ha assorbito in questi meravigliosi anni di sperimentazione e formazione, che rielabora e collega in un modo unico, da vera artista qual è. Non riesco ancora a decidere quale canzone preferisco, 5 nuove canzoni sono troppe da digerire insieme, ma ho amato ogni minuto trascorso ad ascoltare questo EP. Adoro la sua fantastica capacità di mescolare vecchio e nuovo nella musica, è un'altra delle sue straordinarie caratteristiche.💛🧡❤
This was a very, very good reaction, my friend! One should think that you have been listening to her for a LONG time. And I also love the fact that you remember many things that you have been told, and bring it all into your reaction. That tells me that you are really interested and invested in her as a singer and artist. And I ALSO love that you said that you want to listen to the other songs from the EP. The EP is called "Old Enough". Personally I rank Love Don't Let Me Go 4th on the album. I will just give you the 3 songs I have before this one:
1) Good In Goodbyes 2) Diamond and 3) All My Fault. You will get to hear right away her incredible diversity, and hopefully you will appreciate her writing skill as well. She was live in the chat when her EP released, and when she was asked, she said that she has already written more than 100 songs and that she would want nothing more than to release a new album every few months 😅 Angelina is a VERY special artist that you have just gotten to know a LITTLE BIT. I can assure you that you haven't heard anything yet. And I actually mean that 100%. What she did between age 10 and 13 is just totally mind blowing.

Amy Winehouse didn't start the hairstyle, Priscilla Presley did. I don't know where she got it from but she sure owned it. I don't appreciate the comparison because of Amy's lifestyle. Angelina is a complete 180° of Amy's habits. Angelina has much more finesse and paints with a finer brush. Be well.
Yes Jack, react to her Love Don't Let Me Go, the 1st song on her new EP with 6 original songs, where she sings about love as a concept instead of a person. Make sure you do the video version that was released as a single a couple of months before the rest of the songs. The last 4 songs are audio only, so far, but I've heard she may make videos for them sometime in the future. Then she said she will release a full LP album by the end of this year. She has said she has written over 100 songs in the last couple of years while she was finishing her schooling. Now that she has graduated HS, she & her family are ready for her to go full-time on her career, so we have several albums in the future. Great analysis, BTW & can't wait for the next one.
Of her new EP ..OLD ENOUGH. All tracks great but each a different mix of Soul, R&B, Pop, and Jazz with great beats, she writes great lyrics and keeps rhe sultry vocal colour consistent even though Angelina can colour her vocal colour tone and texture any way she wishes. DIAMOND on the EP is perhaps the most experimental with genre mixes.

Yes, Jack, she also sings live in the studio, mostly she only needs one take and she doesn't need an auto-tune at all. The amazing thing about her is that she sounds even better with her raw voice at a live concert than in the studio, and all the voices in the background are all hers

Edit: I hope you react to the whole EP. Even the visualizer songs are not only incredible but all very different from this song. She does a genre party with each of the songs. They’re all such a treat. And taken in order, many AJ fans see the EP as a story in a broader sense. Hopefully Republic Records will also make official videos of the visualizers too once the rest of the album drops. You see this is just the EP, a prequel to the entire album release.
We’re all very excited and patiently waiting to see how things transpire. Hoping to get the album before Christmas.

Think of her as having found a way to modernize blues, jazz and other music.
With Angelina it is never about her. Bare feet, no makeup, old school mic, black and white. Her voice is a slave to the music, just as it should be!! Very rare talent.

Questo nuovo EP è strepitoso, ed esprime secondo me l’identità artistica e la personalità di Angelina.Dagli arrangiamenti alla produzione oltre che nella voce si sente che tutto l’EP è stato realizzato con la massima professionalità. È difficilissimo attualmente per un giovane artista poter esprimere le proprie idee e sono veramente felice che Angelina ci sia riuscita. Le influenze di Angelina in questo EP sono tante da Amy Winehouse ad Adele, sonorità più R&B alla Lauryn Hill, alle cantanti blues e jazz del passato che l’hanno sempre ispirata come Etta James e Billie Holiday, ma allo stesso tempo c’è molto di originale dai testi agli arrangiamenti. Consiglio dell’EP Diamond e All my fault.

Shirley, Michael sono alcuni dei suoi riferimenti,ma anche Nina o più recentemente Adele che lei adora. Insomma grandi del jazz,blues ma anche del pop e rock. È in grado di cambiare la totalità della sua voce adattandola ai brani,al testo e contesto rimanendo però sempre se stessa. Una grande artista che compone e arrangia i suoi pezzi fin da piccola.
I will point out that Amy Winehouse was influenced by the same singers as Angelina so perhaps that is more relevant. Even if there was no Amy Winehouse we would still have Angelina as she is. Now we do know from her covers that she was deeply influenced by Amy. But l still hold her first and foremost it is Billie Holiday. Go back and listen to her. As to the hair...Priscilla Presley not Amy.
