Pandaemonium was particularly bad in an earlier version because Moloch's death didn't erase remaining enemies and the Demon Legions would still spawn if they hadn't come out yet. I loved the undead post-campaign in KR1. But I guess you're right that Rotwick is too easy. I thought it was fine because it was just setting up the campaign and showing you that the undead often rely on overwhelming numbers to win. Besides, since I hadn't been playing for long, I was still figuring out the special tower mechanics and hadn't discovered the essential tesla death field yet. The Dark Tower holds a special place in my heart. First KR game I ever played, and it was so cool when he became a demon. Took me so many tries, but easily my most fave level.

They are overall badly designed featuring really slow and boring enemies, having the level get most of its difficulty from just one or two waves, and very lazily made easy bossfights (like the ice queen or the king frog whatever). Other than the great video. I agree with most of your points.
Couldn’t agree more, the two ghosts were the easiest and most boring boss fight in all of kingdom rush, it was one of the worst boss fights in the entire series. The only mini campaign boss fight that was good in krv was the Pond of the Sage, it was actually somewhat challenging. Otherwise, Ironhide had a chance to revive the game with the new campaign they just added to krv but they failed utterly. Well besides the Necromancer Tower whose skeletons haven't done a lot at all, there wasn't even a single Barracks tower build. Another DWAARP or Battle Mecha instead of that Necromancer tower would have been arguably better.

@@eyadamr1566 Origins had one good mini-campaign and two mediocre at best ones. Vengeance had two good mini-campaigns and one eh one. If we're going to complain about scenery, then that makes the Hulking Rage campaign from Origins worse. Hulking Rage is a lot better overall (wave/enemy design) but you get my point. Recycling enemies isn't necessarily a bad thing, it's interesting to fight returning enemies with completely new towers if not mechanics. Even though most enemies in the Shadowmoon & Blackburn campaigns are the same, they don't feel repetitive or "the same" because towers and heroes are very different. Same thing with the Cursed Bargain mini-campaign, except there's not as many recycled enemies in comparison. Not to mention Cursed Bargain has some of the more interesting enemies in the series, having a big emphasis on taking armor/resistances seriously and making the player rely less on splash damage. And honestly, the boss is more interesting than half of the bosses in the series.
Darklight Depths was actually my favorite map growing up as a kid I never relied on my hero's and would just spam mages and archers. Edit: My favorite part was hearing the death sound effect of the Saurian Broodguard's falling off the cliff 🤣🤣🤣
Won't go into deep details but Wizard's Landing and Bleak Valley are some of the new worst levels in the series. Meanwhile I'd say Corruption Valley and Treasure Island are new contenders for the top 5 best levels. Treasure Island in particular would easily be in the top 3 in my eye if it wasn't for the obnoxiously tight, borderline unfair money stealing "gimmick". But in general it's weird how amazing Pirate Kings campaign is, especially compared to Hammerhold.
here is a list of some of the most painful kingdom rush levels for me Icewind Pass Forsaken Valley Ancient Necropolis Buccaneers Den Crimson Valley Beresad's Lair The Sunken Citadel Bonesburg The Crystal Lake The Unseelie Court Mactan's Retreat Shrine of Elynie Duredhel Outskirts Tainted Pit City of Lozagan every single kingdom rush vengeance elite level
for me the best level in Normal KR is the blackburn castle DIFFICULTY : CAN MAKE YOU BURN XD Can you make the top 5 hardest levels ? In Each Kr game? pls
The deathcoil isn't that horrible, yes they kill heroes and units a lot, but i personally think that they are the easiest unit to juggle, when i play that level, i usually just let them attack and when i hear the shooting sound, i just move my heroes away. And i always use captain blackthrone for the most efficent/profit since you may need to move him a lot of time, he may pass a lot of enemies and i think his utility ability can be utilized the most efficent in this level
The worst is the Frontiers last campaign level, because the boss destroys your towers, so it converts a Tower Defense into a Real Time Strategy, but without money to re-build. The way to beat is by build only cheap towers (few barracks and all archer towers), so you save money to quick rebuild at the end. Basically you are forced into a cheap war instead a full one.
I did lose the first few times I played it, nevermind in veteran mode, since I didn't think about saving up money and I got unlucky that the boss destroyed my most invested towers
i mean i wouldn't say it's the worst i would say it makes the gameplay more interesting and forces you to play differently then you would ussually without limiting what strategy you can use
@@darkcat6530 I understand that concept when in Starcraft or most strategy games, you have only few units to 'escape' from somewhere, or 'rescue' someone, etc. But those 'special stages' are in the early, or middle campaign, not at the end! The end should test the best you can do with the mechanics of the genre you are playing.
Otil Farmlands is easy I agree, yet it is a great level to mess around, work on tactics and test out weapons. I still feel guilty for killing Joe Jenkins, his scream is saddening. 😂
Deathcoils are the most cancerous they attack from a very long rage and kill ur frikking troops especially when ur using a squishy hero..dang I hate those things
My favorite and hardest level is Castle Blackburn..... Because we have 3 ways, and 2 with enemy skeleton and zombie spawns very close to exit, we have Abominations, barracks and hero killers Black Hags, and fallen knights with spectral knights ( and you really need to mix you attacks), for me the best level
Surprisingly enough, I didn't get much trouble with the Saurian Deathcoils (veteran level without object, I play on Switch). A bunch of crossbows with barrage and/or falconer at the entrance and that's it. Honestly, I did like this level, far from being as terrible as what I thought.
I actually love otil farmland. While it might bot be one I use for fun it’s perfect for sandbox. You have a miniboss to test single target damage of towers or hero’s, many weak enemies to test crowd control and it’s the best to test towers since any strategy works.
interesting... i kinda liked the deathcoil level... i mean sure it was obnoxious but if u dont let them stack up its fine... just shift alric from side to side and have full crossbow bolts on both sides and a necromancer to make targets for deathcoils and stall them...
Oh man I hated pandemonium. You talk about multiple practical strategies? I must've tried a dozen different tower configurations before I was able to find _one_ to get me through the first few waves of Pandemonium on *normal* difficulty. Not exactly flexible in allowing multiple strategies. That stupid level was not at all fair. And storm atoll? You talk about it not being confusing or frustrating, and I guess that's true if you've played the level before, but the first time playing through it was _extremely_ frustrating. Why? Because the game does not do a good job showing what path enemies will take. There are 4 distinct lanes, not counting the extra spawns from the boat and whales later in the level, but if you didn't guess which lanes went where correctly right off the bat you were screwed. More of a nitpick than a criticism, but still frustrating.

I wasn’t sure about Otil farmlands being terribly easy, then I tried the set up in the video on IMPOSSIBLE difficulty, so 2 dark knight towers, a coal thing and 2 bone flingers, I had 5000 gold left at the end and only had one enemy nearly slip through

And honestly, the boss is more interesting than half of the bosses in the series.
if mods implemented in this game then it would be dope and more replayability

Darklight Depths was actually my favorite map growing up as a kid I never relied on my hero's and would just spam mages and archers.
Edit: My favorite part was hearing the death sound effect of the Saurian Broodguard's falling off the cliff 🤣🤣🤣
I know that you stopped making content, but have any Alliance, Hammerhold or Pirate Kings stages made it to your list, best or worst?
Won't go into deep details but Wizard's Landing and Bleak Valley are some of the new worst levels in the series. Meanwhile I'd say Corruption Valley and Treasure Island are new contenders for the top 5 best levels. Treasure Island in particular would easily be in the top 3 in my eye if it wasn't for the obnoxiously tight, borderline unfair money stealing "gimmick". But in general it's weird how amazing Pirate Kings campaign is, especially compared to Hammerhold.
More like the 5 most annoying levels and the 5 most unique levels
here is a list of some of the most painful kingdom rush levels for me
Icewind Pass
Forsaken Valley
Ancient Necropolis
Buccaneers Den
Crimson Valley
Beresad's Lair
The Sunken Citadel
Bonesburg
The Crystal Lake
The Unseelie Court
Mactan's Retreat
Shrine of Elynie
Duredhel Outskirts
Tainted Pit
City of Lozagan
every single kingdom rush vengeance elite level
Me, who barely beat the game on easy: *stares intensely on the gameplay and tips*
15:25 the sight of only archmage towers....so....beautiful *sniff*
Well for me, levels with undeads in any of first three games always really fun to play, except for the ones with bosses
for me the best level in Normal KR is the blackburn castle
DIFFICULTY : CAN MAKE YOU BURN XD
Can you make the top 5 hardest levels ? In Each Kr game? pls
Ey, make a video about your opinions on ALL levels on ALL KR games
@@vamremMX it does test what you learned while also adding an extra element of strategy namely money saving
@@darkcat6530 well, I think it was just boing.
Otil Farmlands is easy I agree, yet it is a great level to mess around, work on tactics and test out weapons. I still feel guilty for killing Joe Jenkins, his scream is saddening. 😂
THE ALIENS WHAT?
*THE ALIENS WHAAAAATTTTT???*
I f**king knew the deathcoils would be first!
Deathcoils are the most cancerous they attack from a very long rage and kill ur frikking troops especially when ur using a squishy hero..dang I hate those things
now that you mention it, origins does indeed not have much music lmao
My favorite and hardest level is Castle Blackburn..... Because we have 3 ways, and 2 with enemy skeleton and zombie spawns very close to exit, we have Abominations, barracks and hero killers Black Hags, and fallen knights with spectral knights ( and you really need to mix you attacks), for me the best level
Can you make a challenge seeing if beating pvz 2 is possible without plant food besides ancient Egypt level 1
2:08 You forgot Hellboy arm-wrestling another Demon. That's the best reference in this game. XD
Just to say,it's a demon from DC too called etrigan, that some people put to fight against Hellboy
@@Jekyll1886 I knew who he was (have heard of him before), but I just forgot his name. Thank you.
yes!!!! top 5 best/worst kingdom rush levels.
Shyguymask:pandaemonium is the very hard.Me who beat it first try:Very interesting
Dusk Chateau I beat on my first attempt because it actually favors the way I normally set up my defenses. :)
Surprisingly enough, I didn't get much trouble with the Saurian Deathcoils (veteran level without object, I play on Switch). A bunch of crossbows with barrage and/or falconer at the entrance and that's it. Honestly, I did like this level, far from being as terrible as what I thought.
I literally finished 'Otil Farmlands' in *impossible* with 1 Blazing Gem and 1 Elite Harassers 💀
We may never know wth the alien is doing
I actually love otil farmland. While it might bot be one I use for fun it’s perfect for sandbox. You have a miniboss to test single target damage of towers or hero’s, many weak enemies to test crowd control and it’s the best to test towers since any strategy works.
it's nice to see KR youtubers get promoted by someone popular like SGM
i gotta say i want them hammers
they can shake even the screen
interesting... i kinda liked the deathcoil level... i mean sure it was obnoxious but if u dont let them stack up its fine... just shift alric from side to side and have full crossbow bolts on both sides and a necromancer to make targets for deathcoils and stall them...
But who is the best hereo in kingdom rush ? Dante, of course !
Video suggestion: Tower tier list
Спасибо за творчество! Смотрю из России
Kid i dont have much time. The aliens-
Last words before vaporisation.
Edit - theres also Origins doesn't have much music huh.
I play on casual so don’t take this opinion of gospel
Pandamonium: I hate this level with a passion too many strong enemies and the boss is pathetically easy once you have your defense up for the earliest parts of the stage I just use nukes lots of nukes yes I play on the mobile version
Rockhenge: I like it because it’s a slaughter just seeing so many enemies dying is entertaining to me
Denas’s Castle: awesome final level and very climactic those cannons are very annoying though
Duskwood outpost: I hate twilight elves they are annoying and don’t even get me started on the boss on level two
Galadeian’s wall: The blood knolls aren’t that bad for me(remember I play on casual)
Rotwick: I am OK with this level could use some improvements
Storm atoll: I hate those fish levels with a passion(F##K those turtle things that disable your towers and heal)
Otil farmlands: it’s a slaughter so I love it
Dusk chateau: I hate the moon phase so much this entire level set has always been cursed for me the boss isn’t that bad though(I hate abominations They have too much health and they get a speed boost when the moon comes around making them even worse)
Darklight depths: F##K deathcoils they are the worst enemy to ever exist in a kingdom rush game
Cozy really suffered thanks to you... good job!
“I haven’t played in a couple of years, surely I’ll have forgot these levels”
*Instant Nam’ flashbacks to pandemonium*
"Still, Pandaemonium is iconic, difficult but fair and very good."
Unlike Dark Souls COUGH COUGH
That's why I made a kingdom rush game mod
which game is this from the series?
I have all the kingdom rush games but have only actually played vengeance.
I envy you as you have so much fun coming your way. Especially ‘Frontiers’ which I think is the best one. 👍
11:40 i swear that level hurt so much... it makes me wanna hire dante to take me out
I wasn’t sure about Otil farmlands being terribly easy, then I tried the set up in the video on IMPOSSIBLE difficulty, so 2 dark knight towers, a coal thing and 2 bone flingers, I had 5000 gold left at the end and only had one enemy nearly slip through
Shyguymask: Rockhenge can be beated easily with bladesingers spam.
Me: Wait WTF I wasted my time!
4:53 nightmare map in heroic mode, duskwood outpost heroic is easily the hardest level in origins cuz of high micromanagement demand (along with dwaraman gates iron)
8:02 why are mage towers even there? I NLL'd the level, heroless, with full tesla (veteran ofc)

Deathcoil: And I took it personal
Please make a Tierlist about the Towers and Heroes, or at least more Kingdom Rush i Love your Kingdom Rush Content.
In the darlington depths u don't want to use any soldiers at all. Its the worst strategy for this level
That's the point. A good level should make all towers viable. On darlight depths 3/8 towers are almost useless.
I really love the final boss fight in the first game
just spam archmages for darklight depths as shown in the video. They can kill anything, and xyzzy won't even make it past the top portion of the map. Your hero and the dwarves will constantly die, but who needs them
