    Happy to be a part of this awesome group! Having a pager set aside for my 5 year old, and my 9 year old means I don't have to give them a cell phone to loose, or break when it is time to come home. Very useful even in 2022!

    Having a pager can be very useful not just in the medical field, or in the fire department, but can also be useful at the airports or in an emergency situation.
    There is always a use for old technology in such manners. I still have a home line to this day even though we have cell phones

    Even though you might have been seeing that, not even anyone still carries around that is visible to have a pager on them, but whatever that is. If you go to I’m not sure which Disneyland still is this way, but example, there are still Disneyland announcements in the Park that still say to please turn off your pages while inside the place where you watch the show.

    Whoa,…receptionist…. Hi 😚
    I mean… great video…
    But…..Kim? She should be CEO or at least head of marketing, they’re loosing out on not utilsing her for their company public facing media.
    Sorry I couldn’t help it, it’s like Scarlett Johansson works for some little pager office.
    Anyway to be less weird, I’m looking forward to buying a pager for myself just to study the ranges of wavelengths that they use being so much higher than phones on average.. I wonder how much stuff goes on that’s not usually tracked by looking at (now) normal cell tower transmissions and receiving, also vs pagers being receiving only?
    Thanks!

    So if my area is not in blue that means the pager wouldn’t work for me?

    • @pagersdirect919
      @pagersdirect919  Год назад +2

      Hi Dylan, Based on the Spok coverage maps that we have on our website...if not blue, then the pager most likely will have no reception or spotty reception. It is possible that another paging carrier may have reception, unfortunately, American Messaging (the 2nd largest paging carrier) no longer has coverage maps available. So unless you work with or know someone with a pager that works satisfactorily in your area and can get the frequency and pager type to provide to us, then we would recommend using virtual paging via a pager app on your smartphone. We appreciate your comment and watching our video! :)

    I have a unication alpha legend+ pager for my fire department. I'm in the US in Montana. I am looking to get another pager for personal use when I'm not responding to emergency calls. Do you guys ship pagers? I'm looking for pagers to give to my child and brother. Ive visited the website. Would the pager work in Montana?

      Hi, unfortunately, the paging carriers that we use do not offer paging coverage in Montana. However, we offer pager apps that work on smartphones and as long as the smartphones have either cellular or wifi reception, the pager apps will work.

    Very interesting video, and nice to hear that pager service is still available in the US! With some very limited exceptions paging services were offlined across the UK about ten years ago, and last time I tried using one (A UK Motorola WordZAP) it was a total no-go. 📟🇬🇧⚰
    From the video I see that you provide pager service for a monthly or annual fee. Was this always the case for pager service in the US, or was it more like the UK model where the user bought the pager outright and the cost of service was bourne by those sending messages via toll-charged access numbers? ☎💵📟😇

      In the US, most providers charge the user of the pager the service fee, not the caller. However, there were some services back in the 1990's that did charge the caller. They have since gone out of business.
