- Ducktail Spoiler for the Reborn Miata! This was a pretty simple job despite the small roadblock we encountered and Jesse loves the look of the ducktail, he has always wanted one!

Love the KG works lip, i have one on my NA. I glued it on with Sikaflex and riveted it in the small cutouts on the back.
+BEAVIS Motorsport Nice, the tape I used is super strong. When I paint the car I'll probably pull it off and just use it again on the front, then rivet the back like you did
Love the channel. With the dark color of the car, it's hard to see what you're doing sometimes. Can you use a shop light to illuminate the work area a bit in future vids?

You should probably let the heavier duty 3M tape sit for 10 mins or so after you stick it to the spoiler. Then you can stick it to the trunk lid. This way it has extra time to bond with the spoiler surface. Looks good guys!

you guy's channel is too under rated, its probably due to no miata related tags and no one finds your videos when people search up miata stuff
We definitely have Miata related tags! Thank you for the kind words, we are slowly growing, but we've only been doing this for 6 months or so at this point so that probably has much more to do with it =P Some of our vids hit high in search rankings, but theres also a LOT of other Miata vids out there to compete with.
I've always preferred the ducktail spoiler to the standard type of wing spoiler. Looks good...it came color matched..lol. I'm also interested in seeing the comparison with the ebay special.

I was thinking of purchasing the trunk lid that already had the ductail shape to it. these tape on ones look nice but idk about the tape.
Jorge Rivera A lot of people put rivets or screws to bolt it on the back, also the clamps it came with hold it on very tight, its not just the tape. The trunklid ones are cool too just much more expensive!

Looks good, glad you did a comparison. You'd think with the amount of money these things cost it'd come with proper tape. I want one but i think honestly the prices for them are kinda outrageous. Like a NA Front lip is what like $50? but for some reason the trunk lip is $168? Kinda ridiculous.. I literally just bought led round headlights and smoked turn signals for like $130. Idk, just my two cents.
What I will say is that your comparison isn't fair, just cus a front lip is $50 doesnt mean something less than $200 is overpriced, truthfully speaking the Ducktail still is a good price and much cheaper than decent parts would be sold for years ago...but the sub $50 lips are STUPIDLY cheap. Just cus one thing is ridiculously cheap doesnt mean something else is overpriced.

Dont think so, there are other options for NB's the trunk area doesnt match.
Tape? Wow, I don't think I'd ever trust that to keep a spoiler on. Mine requires drilling, which is just a bit terrifying.
Thats what KG Works sends it with, crappy tape that like you saw in the video, doesn't even go past the edge to grip anything right. The thicker tape I used along with the two side clamps(did you see those?) it comes with holds it on plenty strong tho, I can push on it hard enough to the limit of stopping cus I don't want to break the spoiler, but it holds really well now.

Totally Legit Gaming [TLEG] Looks very similar to Matts, his is an old Racing Beat small wing.
I can see why you wouldnt tape that one, way less surface area. However on mine there is heavy duty mounting tape running down the WHOLE length top and bottom, as well as two clamps to hold it in place, its not going anywhere...on yours it definitely would not work the same way!

Jeff Haft Thanks man, its also the camera, GoPro isn't great with lighting. I just ordered a better Camera and Mic so hopefully this will not be a problem in the future, there was PLENTY of light in this video(you can see the lights!) just bad camera, and I'm looking forward to improved Mic quality as well.

I bought one, 3M tape is cool but im afraid someone would steal my wing. :-(
Use the tape to hold it firm and keep it from rattling, but use the clamps that we showed installing it in this video to secure it!
