This seasons my first chasing jacks and I thought because people run there plastics 50mm or so under pontoon edge that shallow divers would be the go, so I used a shadow rap shad shallow and caught a jack. But then every video I see online everyone using deep divers. The canal I caught the jack in is on 1- 1.5 metres deep though. That's why shallow good. Doesn't get caught on the sandy weed grass.
@@trentpetersenfishing73 your bang on Depth is the key. Most the time i hold my rod at waist level to keep it higher if you notice. I only use deep divers as it frees up rock walls to fish aswell. But if you are purely fishing a pontoon then a shallow to mid diver is perfect
I seen Mick's gone fishing have that issue, he solved it by simply grabbing some pliers and twisting/bending the tow point to the centre and worked for me after seeing this on some lure I have here that had same issues

What size pointer and what size decoy treble upgrade do u use please ? I just bought some pointers the 78xd. I normally use squirrels.
To be honest the standard is fine.
Unless you want to chase barra. That rear hook wouldnt hold up
