Ambulances are pretty noisy when we come screaming down the road running emergency. People still can't hear you in their car until you are right up on them . I have seen plenty of motorcycle crashes most caused because the rider is treating the road as a moto gp track . I recently got a bike and I said to my wife the first mod is a Vance & Hines exhaust . She has drag pipes on her bike we both believe loud pipes save lives.

Arctic Pride I've been looking into an E-bike for a while now and the noise thing is a big consideration. I have this odd desire to be noticed while surrounded by heavy moving objects....go figure. I was watching the practice runs for last years Pikes Peak runs and they outfitted the electric bikes with sirens to warn others on the run. Guess that says something
Rickey Holtzclaw tried harassing me on facebook one time because of my loud bike, big mistake. I would troll him on all his videos and facebook until i was blocked from both. Im glad you brought this to more peoples attention. if you look deeper into him you will find he was fired from being a cop not retired. My wife worked at an adult day service that took care of special needs adults. I ride a bike with drag pipes and I volunteered at minimum 3 days a week. I was constantly asked to ride the bike up so I would and I'd let them come out and rev the bike up from time to time and enjoyed watching them with their big ass grins and the laughter and it wasn't just making their day but it made my day to know that I was able to make someone else's day.
I've run loud pipes and quiet pipes, and I haven't noticed any difference in how often I get cut off or people don't notice me. I always carry a good horn though.
If Violent Noise Offenders didn't rev their Violently Loud Engines at intersections we wouldn't have this problem. Of course, that Violently Loud Semi over there with his Diesel Death Machine revving doesn't make any noise at all. Or that 1970 Ford F150 whose entire exhaust system rusted away in the mid-80's.
depends if u are living in a busy city with a lot of traffic and filtering is allowed or not. It does help in slow traffic. I tried both stock and aftermarket and aftermarket people give me more space but msotly in slow going traffic while filtering.
+John Birmingham, in my neck of the woods they might actually ticket a car or truck. Anyone on a cruiser would get a pass for blatantly exceeding decibel limits. I have trouble believing you see to many Semis revving their engines. A diesel pickup with a stack, however, is about the only other vehicle on the road capable of being modded to the same volume as a bike though.
My Old Man, 3 Uncles, Aunt, Older Cousin, both my Grand Fathers all rode a mix of Harley, Honda, Triumph, and Royal Enfield over the years....every single one had loud pipes...and as a kid I loved it. Here I am at 26 started riding at 14 having owned dirt bikes Honda cb750, Shadow and now a Harley...every one had loud pipes. Pretty sure my quality of life has only been improved 😎
I had the misfortune of having a car driver not being aware that I was next to said driver, he/she was on the phone texting, so I revved my bike, the driver called me an idiot, but,,, said driver knew I was there, thus avoiding a future scrape on my beautiful bike, loud pipes definitely saved "possibly" my life
What most folks like him don't realize is that it is not the pipes that are the problem. It is the goofball behind the bars. Just like guns. It is not the gun that is the issue it is the user that is. I have moderately loud pipes on my bike but you wouldn't know it until I get on the throttle. I ride with respect to those around me and have no need for bravado. But that is just my opinion.
That I understand. Some are obnoxiously loud just because they can. My point was it is more the user then the item. I have been beside my share of sport bikes that were louder than my bike but because of the look of mine it gets the bad rep.
+Darth Ram Yes, it's not just Harleys as far as I'm concerned (though I had one of those pull up in the turn lane beside me and blast me for no apparent reason when I'd been sitting for about fifteen seconds already at a red light). I had my left ear blown out by a little princess boy-squid, of course-on a sportbike who had the throttle wide open on the highway and was just generally making unsafe passes and everything else. I tend to enjoy the sound of a car/bike idle, aftermarket pipe(s) or not, but I don't appreciate my hearing being damaged by some child who's desperate to be noticed.
Same. My bike's previous owner added some pretty loud exhaust to her, but she's not much louder than stock harleys unless I really rip on the throttle.
I've had quite a few bikes and none of them have been any louder than your standard chevy. I can't count the number of times I've been watching someone in their mirror and they don't notice me, let alone even look over their shoulder. so it's not just loud pipes that saves lives but the lack of situational awareness as well. love your page keep it safe and awesome.
Loud pipes piss me off too. When I am at a light and some other guys pulls up on his bike and I can't hear my loud pipes over his loud pipes. Well that burns my ass like a three foot tall camp fire. oh and @Fred straw - is this what you mean, (refer to my profil pic, lol)
That's a serious problem. I have a super sweet sounding Triumph triple... however, my buddies RSV4 is so god damn loud I can't even hear my extremely loud triple, the tragedy.
LOL, ever heard of Land of the Free? Free country? Public? Maybe you grew up before those things were American. People spouting fascism burns MY ass. We don't like to smell your farts or see your face, but it's public...we put up with it, we 'allow' it. It is a free country...that how America rolls.
This might be the best argument I’ve ever heard for two things in life and one of them is never mentioned in this video. Replace every motorcycle with or exhaust with the word gun and it’s a the same argument for what it at it’s very core the same thing. Freedom
I think Janice is the old lady who nearly ran me into oncoming traffic because she didn't notice me till I revved my Harley. And yeah, it scared her back into her lane. I absolutely believe it saved my life.
Dude.... HAS ANYONE EVER TOLD YOU THAT YOU SHOULD DO COMMENTARY?!?! I'm being dead seriously. The way you describe things with the grit in your voice makes it sound sooooo much more satisfying lmao
My son put Cobra drag pipes on my Vulcan and at first I thought they were to loud but after riding with them for a couple of months I just love the sound. Who needs music while you are riding just a V twin symphony. Yours truly the loud ranger.
I live next to a busy road and have heard my fair share of loud motorcycles. I want to see the stereo system that is as loud as a lot of the bikes are.
you obviously live in the middle of nowhere....here on the east coast, theres cars driving by with bass that penetrates RIGHT threw your house, worse than a motorcycle...I don't care, I've had bass in my cars and surely annoyed people too, oh well, it's America, get over it.
Freedom is messy, noisy and sometimes dangerous... Couldn't have said it better myself, shadetree. A certain amount of tolerance is necessary for us all to enjoy what we love doing.
I have an R6 with a radiant cycles gp shorty and I had multiple kids coming running out when I ride by giving me the hand gesture to rev my bike! I even had their dad come out and do the same; most people love loud bikes! :) I love seeing people smile when I ride by, it brightens my day :)
When my oldest son was about five months old I bought a well used 88 Softail. Needless to say every weekend I was fixing something so that I could ride. He would sit outside with me in his exersaucer while I worked. At first when I would fire the bike up it would scare the shit out of him, his mom would get pissed at me, but I kept telling her that he would get use to it. Within a few weeks he loved the sound and would get all kinds of excited when he would see me turn the ignition on. Before long he wanted to go for rides around the parking lot at the apartments we lived in on a regular basis. Flash forward 18 years, he would rather ride a bike than drive a car. Just remember saving a life with loud pipes may not just mean avoiding a life ending accident, it may mean the difference between someone actually living their life, or watching life pass them by. “ You can get busy living, or get busy dieing “ Ellis Boyd “Red”Redding, The Shawshank Redemption.
You forgot to mention one important thing. Many bikes don't have horns to warn other drivers. If you get cut off in a car, you'll hit your horn at them. A bike needs to be loud enough to communicate with others for their own safety. Yelling doesn't work, I tried.
The best videos are the ones that make my wife ask me why I am laughing out loud by myself. Shadetree, you should go into Shakespeare Theater. Great performance.
I use to like loud pipes for many years but I am obviously getting old as I like standard pipes nowadays especially on really long trips. I agree with you 100%.
Theres a cop i know, helped him out when his hot water tank took a shit, i was talking to him about how my harley is loud, maybe too loud and i just keep the revs low in urban areas as best i can, his response was bikers like me aren’t who he’s going after its the guys that purposely try and make as much noise as possible. Focus on the trouble makers, makes sense
Wait...did Timmy die?? Excellent subject Shadetree. We need to realize how easily our freedoms can be taken away under the blanket of pleasing everyone.
tell em sonny, im a 103 year old renegade & when i roll my Harley tc110 ridged bobber with shorty flame throwers down the road, definitely loud as it gets, im lookin for trouble and im mean people who make sudden lane changes, switch sides of the road cause they fuct up, and on and on. You got it brother, bring the pain son. Hit em where it hurts. More laws is definitely not the solution, in fact we should work together to eliminate most and mind our damn sensitive selfish business. Thanks for the video bro!
Just found your channel, and am watching my way through. I ride an 02 Sportster with V&H StraightShots & baffles (but they're still loud) and a '67 Triumph 750 chopper with TT pipes, no baffles. Pretty loud. Third is the 06 Cummins, straight piped. Love the sound of loud motors of all kinds. But, the operator needs to be responsible too. If I'm riding past someone walking near the road, especially kids, I let off the gas and try not to be too loud past them. My wife and I were walking with our 7 month old son the other day and an asshole on a (ironhead?) Sportster, apes, straight pipes, etc, blasted past us from a stop sign. It hurt my ears, and I wasn't quick enough to cover my son's. That part is my responsibility. But being aware and conscientious of the people are you is the operator's job. Just sayin', if you're going to be loud that's cool and is our damn RIGHT to do so. But there's no need to be an asshole about it. Thirdly (fuck this comment is getting long), I've ridden an electric motorcycle and frankly wouldn't do it again. NOBODY knows you're behind them, near them, beside them. That thing was fast but took away one more sensory alert to my presence- sound. Keep doin what you're doin, man. It's damn entertaining.
That was the best argument for anything freedom related I've heard. As we said in the Navy, Bravo Zulu! It's not even about Ricky Holtzclaw, it's all about freedoms and the attempts to infringe upon them. You sir, I would love to buy you a beer someday.
Before I put aftermarket exhausts on my Harley I went unnoticed and got sideswiped in slow traffic by a dink with neck issues. I don't have that problem anymore.
I have my very own fan club, 3 awesome little kids that live across the street from me. Pretty much every time I drag one of my bikes out of the garage and start her up (especially my Harley), they come out of their house and start yelling "motorcycle man!" over and over. Loud pipes, especially on a Harley, that's just another of those things that makes life good!
I’m a new subscriber and have been binging your vids....with all the drivers using their phone while driving I need loud pipes ASAP ....this Ricky guy is clueless!!!!....keep up the good fight!
I genuinely love this channel, first few videos were cringy but who's videos aren't, you're real and don't give a single shit what people think... I love it. Plus you make sounding smart sound bad ass and I thoroughly enjoy it hell ya brother ❤
without loud pipes, how will I ever play my favorite game... "scare the phone out of the drivers hands" until they crack down on distracted drivers, tighten the requirements for getting your C-Class, and enforce the already existing laws for motorists... keep your fucking hands of my pipes.
I was arrested once in saudi arabia for having a loud bike. Got swarmed with 6 unis, thrown in jail for a day & my bike impounded for more than 40 days in a typical open area impound lot under the sun from dawn till dusk, rain & all the elements. Of course you are lucky to get it back & you can never even consider suing them for negligence.
Hell yeah, Shadetree! As someone that raised his right hand and swore to defend our great constitution, I whole heartedly believe in what you said. The nation has become a nanny state already. We have entire generations of soft people, not willing to read the very document that defines our nation, then go out into the world and demand we listen to their “feelings”. Sharing this with as many as I can. Well said brother. Still looking for that first bike build for me though.
Loud pipes have definitely saved me a few times. Here in England filtering is legal, if you hit a jam on a motorway the safest place is between the lines of cars and trucks, if you're louder than the cagers radio they have a chance of being aware of you. They still pull across you though and some resent you not being trapped like they are but that's a whole new can of worms, albeit quiet worms.
I drive a quiet motorcycle and wear full gear. But I believe that helmet laws should be illegal. Buuuuuuut I also believe that anyone without a helmet in an accident should not be allowed to use OUR insurance.
So if someone got into a accident in a legal state were they are not mandatory to wear they would not in your opinion be able to use there insurance that they pay into every pau period???
Damn Skippy Shadetree! Another great INFORMATIVE video. Entertaining as a game of Shatner in a dorm full of drunken naked co-eds. Pass the dramatic, entertaining storyline, (that we love to hear) the plight of America against the Rickys of the great country is real! Thanks for reminding us Freedom isn't free and we have to stand for things greater than ourselves. Even if its just fighting to keep our loud pipes. Ride hard ride safe, oh yeah and loud!
Rant on: I believe in freedom as long as you NEVER infringe on other people's rights. Loud, disrespectful bikes are a violation to those who wish for peace and QUIET. Rant off. Great video, loved it!
I believe motorcycles should be legally equipped with a muffler, beyond that fair game. We have some straight piped bikes that run around my city, and honestly if your bike is loud from half a mile away that's a bit excessive. You can still enjoy a reasonably loud bike with a muffler.
As always man, awesome video. You always show up with a good argument and I appreciate the fact that you don't get all holier than thou about these things when it could be REAL easy to. 👍
Thanks man! And the high horse thing.... I just wouldnt be able to stand myself if I did that shit. Hopefully if I ever get up there someone will knock me the fuck down haha
Hey Shade tree. Like I said a few days ago. I'm playing catch up on all your stuff. This one is def one of my favorites. This video has been and still is relevant man. There's nothing like the sound of pipes. Ride on all !!!
What's up SS? Been digging this Chanel. Your putting out a lot of good information brother. Personally I love loud pipes regardless if they save lives. Good talk, PEACE brother!
Dear Ricky. My life was saved from being smashed by an WalMart Truck by my pipes. That was on a VTX 1800c. Now I ride a B King. I have louder pipes on that too. And BOY DO THEY SOUND GOOD! :D
...no thank you, I really appreciate all the thought and hard work you put into these videos - not just thrown together or not thought out as so many of the bike based stuff seems to be....good on ya!
California is how it's always been, dickhead cops enforcing dickhead laws, all there if they want to be dickheads. Laguna Beach for example has the highest concentration of dickhead cops that do in fact enforce the 80 db exhaust law, ask me how I know....
There was a rider on one of those "assault motorcycles" near where I live who was doing laps around a residential area doing nearly 200mph, and a grandpa with grandma and grandkids in the car pulled out in front of it, and the motorcycle t-boned it. The car folded around the motorcycle, no survivors.
During the 'horse and buggy era' some folks would insert a megaphone into their horse's rectum. This ampliphied the sound of the exhaust, thus saving many lives. This practice also improved performance. And, most people liked the enhanced sound of the horse.
Both good questions. I believe the thing had a knob on the inserted end; like on a brass instrument. There had to have been an issue with plugging. This may have been why the internal combustion engine was invented.
at a local town hall kind of meeting, police were telling my neighbors to call cops on people for walking, standing and waiting for rides (because they don't have a car), sitting in cars (because they do have a car), guests visiting houses often. It amounts to calling the cops on people for everything except hiding indoors. The way I found out about it is one of the neighbors posted it in Nextdoor dot com as though it's a good idea to be doing that to people. She even said she doesn't know what these people are up to, which tells me they aren't bothering anybody.
I truly believe in everything you said. You need to apply this arguement to our other rights we are losing! Im a rider myself. 1974 harley ironhead sportster with straight pipes. I always look for motorcycles. I always avoid following behind them. They always have more stopping power than any 4 wheeled vehicle I'm driving. I always check before pulling out... TWICE!!!!! Ive lost friends to careless drivers. I take it serious. A car is designed to take a hit. Not a bike. So saying this I will admit. Ive almost merged right over a few BMW whisper exhaust bikes because I couldnt see them in my blind spot aaaaaand I sure as hell could not hear them. So thank you for your arguement
That 2003 Buick Le Sabre didn’t see it coming. Poor Janice leading a poor quiet life. On a more serious note, I don’t ride (yet) but being someone that shares the road with plenty of motorcyclists, only one time have I heard a bike that was piped way too loud, the exhaust note was not throaty or full in any way it was just sharp and piercing, it wasn’t even on the freeway. That is the one time I’ve ever been annoyed with an exhaust note from a bike. I think pipes that open the sound for a bike are awesome! I agree that louder pipes can save lives, whenever I see a bike on the road I always double check, the louder pipes help me by hearing where that bike is at when I’m near one.
I've got a 2002 zrx1200, yoshimura rs3 slip on, cut in half. I had to cut the pipe. teen girls glued to their phones, old lady who forgot her glasses, business man who owns the world in his BMW... none of them would look for me, pull out in front of me, push me out of my lane, etc. cut my pipe, and now they hear me before they see me. I'm not obnoxious with my bike. I ride it every day. I just have a little more peace of mind knowing that I have the possibility of being seen, because I was heard.
What's funny is that the 80 decibel law only pertains to a certain RPM range as stated on the bike itself. My Suzuki goes over his wishes with stock exhaust at higher RPM. Either way you make a super valid point. There are not enough of us on the road at one time to actually be a problem. I commute in SoCal 54 miles one way and maybe see 3 regulars in the sea of cars.
As a motorcycle instructor, the only thing I really say about "Loud pipes save lives" is to ask why my Zero SR doesn't kill me every time I ride. So, personally, I prefer to rely on skills (and a loud horn) which are both cheaper (and often quicker) than a "loud pipes" install.
Wonderful rant there! I've been building, modding and riding bikes for 50 years, mostly fairly quiet machines, but just over a year ago, I had a really absurd accident. I was overtaking a car sized municipal mowing machine, which was doing no more than 18 kph (what's that in real money14 mph?) when the bastard turned sharp left on me, and tightened his turn. I had nowhere to go, my front tyre hit the thing and the recoil shattered my left wrist. The bike, a highly reworked '95 Sportster with Buell Lightning motor did a huge slide left, corrected then slid right, then by the time it flipped left again it was near stopped...I couldn't hold it vertical due to the smashed wrist so let it drop to the left. The SuperTrapp collector was well crumpled, busted right footrest and case, obviously bent brake pedal, but that was it. How my foot survived I have no idea..... The point is, the SuperTrapp is too damn quiet, the guy (in an open machine!) failed to hear it coming! Now, over a year later, I can do very little due to torn left shoulder tendon and a left bicep long tendon that's in two pieces....that only happened in April, but shows how extreme stress on tendons weakens them, and takes a very long time to heal. Have fun out there but beware mad buggers in cages and lawnmowers. Oh yeah, when I got up, I asked the driver to show me his left rear winker worked and....IT DIDN'T! Lotw of witnesses to this and the insurers accept it's 100% the local authority's fault! Anyone want a really beautiful Harley-Buell?
Preach on, brother. Maybe we can get Ricky working on semis that engine brake or railroad trains or airplanes landing at the airport. All of these a lot louder than any bike I've ever heard. I really don't think Ricky is worried about the noise--he just doesn't like the riders.
In a lot of states, there are already laws against any exhaust that is louder than factory. They also have laws about radio volume, which on my street glide I constantly broke. I don't like excessively loud pipes, mostly when dumbasses rev their bikes in town with tall buildings echoing it back at pedestrians and other vehicles. After market exhaust does open up engine and help vehicles run better, but there's no reason to rev bomb. If you have to rev it at stop lights, then you need to take it to the shop so it runs right.
I'll take my loud pipes off when cagers stop texting and driving.
Or when you blow the wrong person's ears out

They need to limit the ammount of fuel they can carry. They dont need four gallons of gas, thats just a high capacity and criminals use that...

Well, I heard on the news that they have to add noise to electric cars because they are too quiet and hitting people, especially at low speeds.
yea, I know someone who has to drive an electric company car. dead silent until the engine comes on at about 30mph.

johnny killmore Ricky would hate me... Vance and Hines Groundpounders on a 88 TC.
David Borrego
Roadburners. When 110db isn't enough.
Honestly I've never noticed a difference either, although i do feel safer making some noise.
shadetree surgeon I agree! I want it to sound cool but not deafen people either.
Darth Ram Nice! I had the same thought. It's not the gun that kills it's the user. Same principles apply.
Child. Best way to describe them.
LOL!
I'm not angry at loud bikes.
But I've always been the type of person that feels a bit off if I know I am disturbing others.
Both you and Tim K respectably approach to the topic is classy AF. This guy make motorcyclist sound like ax murderers. lol
Hey man, what me and my axe do on our own time is none of your business thank you very much.
Man after i already had this filmed I found out the guy actually got fired for harassing bikers...
There's probably a higher percentage of the population who ARE axe murderers! Haha.
This might be the best argument I’ve ever heard for two things in life and one of them is never mentioned in this video. Replace every motorcycle with or exhaust with the word gun and it’s a the same argument for what it at it’s very core the same thing.
Freedom
Ricky being just as helpful in his retired years as he was when back on the force.
I think Janice is the old lady who nearly ran me into oncoming traffic because she didn't notice me till I revved my Harley. And yeah, it scared her back into her lane. I absolutely believe it saved my life.
This is one of the best videos i have watched in years. Seriously i feel like you've just taken me on a journey....
Salute bro
Dude....
HAS ANYONE EVER TOLD YOU THAT YOU SHOULD DO COMMENTARY?!?!
I'm being dead seriously. The way you describe things with the grit in your voice makes it sound sooooo much more satisfying lmao
When I would hear my dad on his road king with his loud exhaust I had the biggest smile
My son put Cobra drag pipes on my Vulcan and at first I thought they were to loud but after riding with them for a couple of months I just love the sound. Who needs music while you are riding just a V twin symphony. Yours truly the loud ranger.
If I have to listen to wannabe gangster rap crap thumping out of the fuckin car windows at a red light, then you can listen to my loud pipe.
+Moshpit fair is fair!
MoshpitCircles Well said!
MoshpitCircles exactly. That gangster rap crap or that loud obnoxious heavy metal and punk rock bs they can handle our loud pipes
Thanks Shadetree, I have loud pipes AND I'm deplorable
I have an R6 with a radiant cycles gp shorty and I had multiple kids coming running out when I ride by giving me the hand gesture to rev my bike! I even had their dad come out and do the same; most people love loud bikes! :) I love seeing people smile when I ride by, it brightens my day :)
"Alas poor Timmy, I knew him, Horatio. A man of infinite jest, of excellent fancy." -- with apologies to Willie the Shake.
I have yet to see a bike without a horn, in fact I believe that they are a mandatory design feature in most countries.
The best videos are the ones that make my wife ask me why I am laughing out loud by myself. Shadetree, you should go into Shakespeare Theater. Great performance.
This is still one of the best videos on RUclips.
I use to like loud pipes for many years but I am obviously getting old as I like standard pipes nowadays especially on really long trips. I agree with you 100%.
Assault bikes with loud pipes killed my father.
And drowned my sister
And killed my dog and drowned my fish
Theres a cop i know, helped him out when his hot water tank took a shit, i was talking to him about how my harley is loud, maybe too loud and i just keep the revs low in urban areas as best i can, his response was bikers like me aren’t who he’s going after its the guys that purposely try and make as much noise as possible.
Focus on the trouble makers, makes sense
Wait...did Timmy die?? Excellent subject Shadetree. We need to realize how easily our freedoms can be taken away under the blanket of pleasing everyone.
Vegas Gurl na Timmy got Vance and Hines on his wheelchair
tell em sonny, im a 103 year old renegade & when i roll my Harley tc110 ridged bobber with shorty flame throwers down the road, definitely loud as it gets, im lookin for trouble and im mean people who make sudden lane changes, switch sides of the road cause they fuct up, and on and on. You got it brother, bring the pain son. Hit em where it hurts. More laws is definitely not the solution, in fact we should work together to eliminate most and mind our damn sensitive selfish business. Thanks for the video bro!
He owns a Hayabusa, they used to call it the "widowmaker." Too bad it has not yet done in Ricky...
It's damn entertaining.
someone almost cut in my lane until I reved my bike they stayed in there own lane till I got passed
That was the best argument for anything freedom related I've heard. As we said in the Navy, Bravo Zulu! It's not even about Ricky Holtzclaw, it's all about freedoms and the attempts to infringe upon them. You sir, I would love to buy you a beer someday.
Just picked up a used bike and absolutely LOVE the Jardines the previous owner put on it. Loud as hell! But it's a good loud. Lol
Before I put aftermarket exhausts on my Harley I went unnoticed and got sideswiped in slow traffic by a dink with neck issues.
I don't have that problem anymore.
Now you just annoy everyone because you aren't smart enough to ride safely. The loud pipes amplify your insecurity.
Its not about the loud pipes, its about someone eroding some freedom people have. This is going on everywhere unfortunately.
It's all your fault for scaring little old ladies you big meanie! :-p
02bigkev well if he loves america, he can LISTEN TO THE MURICA FROM MY PIPES
02bigkev actually I think it is about the pipes.
You should do a meetup at Rickys place.
Ha, that'd be brilliant
Which Ricky? Holtsclaw or Berwick?
Duff Man a 2 stroke and Harley only meetup
There's other loud bikes besides Harleys and 2 strokes m8...
without loud pipes, how will I ever play my favorite game... "scare the phone out of the drivers hands"
until they crack down on distracted drivers, tighten the requirements for getting your C-Class, and enforce the already existing laws for motorists... keep your fucking hands of my pipes.
Man you could not be more right! Great vlog. It is everyone's responsibility to stand for our democratic freedom.
I was arrested once in saudi arabia for having a loud bike. Got swarmed with 6 unis, thrown in jail for a day & my bike impounded for more than 40 days in a typical open area impound lot under the sun from dawn till dusk, rain & all the elements. Of course you are lucky to get it back & you can never even consider suing them for negligence.
shadetree for president?
Hell yeah, Shadetree! As someone that raised his right hand and swore to defend our great constitution, I whole heartedly believe in what you said. The nation has become a nanny state already. We have entire generations of soft people, not willing to read the very document that defines our nation, then go out into the world and demand we listen to their “feelings”. Sharing this with as many as I can. Well said brother. Still looking for that first bike build for me though.
Still a classic. Red carpet worthy performance. 😎😆
How do you drive a motorcycle? I ride mine
Pass the dramatic, entertaining storyline, (that we love to hear) the plight of America against the Rickys
of the great country is real!
Thanks for reminding us Freedom isn't free and we have to stand for things greater than ourselves. Even if its just fighting to keep our loud pipes.
Ride hard ride safe, oh yeah and loud!
Only law should be no open head it has to have like a 3 inch of pipe
Rant on: I believe in freedom as long as you NEVER infringe on other people's rights. Loud, disrespectful bikes are a violation to those who wish for peace and QUIET. Rant off. Great video, loved it!
Always arm yourself with a sidebike grom for protection.
Dominick Tedesco I just imagine a grom welded to a chopper with ape hangers xD
I believe motorcycles should be legally equipped with a muffler, beyond that fair game. We have some straight piped bikes that run around my city, and honestly if your bike is loud from half a mile away that's a bit excessive. You can still enjoy a reasonably loud bike with a muffler.
Eric Gudzinas but no one cares what you think? Its down to the individual.
When someone says “There ought to be a law”, they are almost always wrong.
Typical elitist cop
As always man, awesome video. You always show up with a good argument and I appreciate the fact that you don't get all holier than thou about these things when it could be REAL easy to. 👍
amen!
Thanks for the support my brother! And I feel the same way as you!
You sir, have wisdom. Combined with a public forum, you also have courage. Those two qualities are are rare and fleeting in these modern times. Kudos.
boils down to the discomfort of civilians takes precedence over the lives of bikers
Dear Ricky. My life was saved from being smashed by an WalMart Truck by my pipes. That was on a VTX 1800c. Now I ride a B King. I have louder pipes on that too. And BOY DO THEY SOUND GOOD! :D
Lovin' your work SS - keep 'em coming.....
+TheMissendenFlyer I'll do my best! And thank you!
...no thank you, I really appreciate all the thought and hard work you put into these videos - not just thrown together or not thought out as so many of the bike based stuff seems to be....good on ya!
@@shadetreesurgeon man this one was epic. May Janice R.I.P 👏
Janis has clearly never ridden to Sunday services on two wheels. Jesus LOVES bikers
Ricky must live in CA
Houston, Texas...........Red State
California is how it's always been, dickhead cops enforcing dickhead laws, all there if they want to be dickheads. Laguna Beach for example has the highest concentration of dickhead cops that do in fact enforce the 80 db exhaust law, ask me how I know....
@Shane Hawkins CA 100% enforces decibal laws if you come across a pos cop. Just saw a video of a cop using it as an excuse to pull a guy over.
@Shane Hawkins I don't think they're gonna mess with people on bikes unless you piss them off. I was talking about cars and trucks.
And the Oscar for best performance in a drama goes to, Shadetree Surgeon ( Crowd Goes Wild ) !!!!!!!!
freedom!!!!! that lady needs to read if you can keep it by Eric Metaxas. nuff said.
+tom my best comment ever 😂
thank you
Both good questions. I believe the thing had a knob on the inserted end; like on a brass instrument.
There had to have been an issue with plugging. This may have been why the internal combustion engine was invented.
I miss the days at 4 way stops you had to wave a flag or lantern to go.
at a local town hall kind of meeting, police were telling my neighbors to call cops on people for walking, standing and waiting for rides (because they don't have a car), sitting in cars (because they do have a car), guests visiting houses often. It amounts to calling the cops on people for everything except hiding indoors. The way I found out about it is one of the neighbors posted it in Nextdoor dot com as though it's a good idea to be doing that to people. She even said she doesn't know what these people are up to, which tells me they aren't bothering anybody.
loud pipes save lives
Barry Sutherland loud pipes poor substitute for no skills
Nice to find someone with good sense with a highly intelligent argument, I hear loud pipes.
"and the gays" hahaha
😂😂😂😂😂 loud motorcycles are my religion.
People with loud pipes had parents that didn't pay enough attention to them when they were kids, and now they have a "look at me" complex...
I was the 666th thumbs up on this video. Just sayin'
Also, "When was the last time you heard an ambulance and knew exactly where it was as soon as you heard it?"
+Jadie Matthew hah! I like the way you think
