Not really. I live in a midrise downtown and it’s a way to get in our building without the fobs. Why I tell my ol lady to keep her 🔨 on her at all times
@@HotaruGlaive that was the purpose, but as time progressed and I actually lived in the complex I realized the flaws. If I’d known then what I knew now. This complex never would of been an option
I have watched 3-4 other youtube videos recently of folks calling out their leasing agents for property stolen at apartments that are not high-rises apartments in other cities. This is becoming a bigger issue and I'm concerned that many of these issues are possibly 'inside' jobs, not sure how staff are vetted from full-time to contract. Whatever level of safety, especially women, need from rental insurance to in/outdoor cameras to self defense training, get to it!
The size, the way they move, they are younger, inexperienced. I would be willing they appear on cameras outside of the building and that is what the police should be using, as they have cameras all over Houston.
Aaaaand that’s why I left Houston. It’s an inside job, investigate the apartment staff. Happened to me also in a seemingly luxury apartment building on Richmond Avenue 😢 and the apartment manager didn’t do anything about it. They know what you have in your apartment because they do “mandatory” checks and can go in even when you’re not home. Don’t EVER get an apartment in Houston!!!!
Bc the B&E occurred in a protected area, like a private home, then the crime may be classified as a Class A misdemeanor with $4,000 in fines and up to a year in jail.Other factors that can affect the penalty include whether it's a first offense, the type of property entered, and whether force or damage occurred. Unless yr mom's theft was over $2.5k, it's a class A or B misdemeanor at most.
Gotta be an inside job. High rise apartment contains a lot of security. For visitors they have to check in before visiting someone. There's no way they just take elevator without security looking. The two punks that broke in should be getting a real job like normal folks. All that time and energy they put into breaking in could have been used to full out a job application and going on interviews.

This is definitely a inside job because high rises have a concierge at the front desk … and you have to call up to get access to the building !!! This is definitely a inside job and I would sue the complex and make sure I don’t have to pay rent for the remainder of my lease

Inside job. It’s practically impossible to get up those elevators
I would start with maintenance, concierge, and security.... I guarantee if they go fishing, they'll catch somebody quick.

One of the main advantages of living in a high rise is the security. This sucks.
I would investigate management. It’s not the first time this has happened in luxury housing in Houston.

It’s not that much. It’s not NYC. Probably $2500-$3000 at the most.
